Also, having Down syndrome alone does not mean the pregnancy wouldn't make it to term so I would question why they are telling you pending on the markers your baby has and/or other health problems, THOSE things could affect surviving the pregnancy, not Down syndrome. There is no such thing as "severe Down syndrome" - you either have it or you don't. Have you met with a genetic counselor and/or a maternal fetal medicine OB?
