character teams, swords, and fighting styles
juliana:
team- amped toxtricity “ragtime”, skeledirge “cai”, sandaconda “jormungandr”, heliolisk “rayo”, inteleon “maelstrom”, krookodile “sol”. swords- two serrated scimitars. black blades, orange accents, and dark brown hilts. brown sheaths with orange accents, attached in an x at the small of the back (think riju from totk!) fighting style- offensive, uses exclusively hp-targeting attacks. always on the move and sometimes turns a dodge into a flip attack. think totk riju yet again
carmine:
team- same as game canon. swords- two kodachis. dark blue blades, black accents, black hilt. black sheaths with red accents, one on each hip. fighting style- a mix of offensive and defensive, uses both hp- and status- targeting attacks. stays in one spot usually, but changes those locations almost instantly.
kieran:
team- same as canon. swords- one dagger. purple blade, pale yellow accents, black hilt. black sheath with purple accents, on belt. fighting style- mostly defensive, uses small size to make quick but effective attacks when necessary. uses mostly hp-targeting attacks.

what are pokéblades?
short answer: energy transfer swords
medium answer: swords that use move energy from the active mon during battles.
long answer:
components of a pokéblade:
outer metal blade. a thick layer of metal that provides the cutting edge as well as protects the inner layers. has some openings in it to show the LED rows
chip layer. a group of computer chips that gather energy from the mon in use and translate it into blade effects like temperature or corrosiveness
LED rows. a row of LED lights on each side of the blade that glow the type color of the active mon.
hilt. the handle as well as the storage space for more chips if needed. bottom of handle has energy absorption disc
how a blade works:
active mon charges up move energy
energy absorption disc transfers move energy to the chips, which analyze move type and effect
effect is generated in the edge of the blade. for example, fire-type moves would significantly heat up the blade
blade hits opponent and/or opponent’s armor. passes through opponent
energy from move is absorbed by opponent’s armor and transferred to opposing active mon
terastallization equivalent: armor upgrades! depending on the active mon’s tera type, the trainer will gain helmet, chestplate, or boot upgrades. for example flying-type terastallization will give a jump boost
swords and armor can be either store-bought or custom-built. most experienced trainers prefer to use custom swords
thank you for coming to my ted talk
