"Season two ruined OFMD"

Season two was so beautiful with three of the most heart-wrenching episodes of television I've ever watched. If season one rewired my brain, season two rewired my entire body. Season two took both of my hands, looked into my eyes, and told me that it loved me.

#I’ve noticed that a lot of the folks who don’t like s2 are the ones who spent that year and a half in between seasons #creating an in depth fanon version of the characters they liked #and they got so deep into it that they forgot what the actual characters were like and got mad when they didn’t match the fanon version #as someone who got here right as s2 was airing: I loved every part of s2 😌

Ed’s having a bad brain day today so Stede’s taking care of him. Earlier, Stede drew him a warm bath and threw some lavender petals in the water (Stede offered to leave Ed be for a while but Ed didn’t want to be alone, so they both squeezed into the too-small bathtub and stayed there until the water got cold), and now Ed is curled up under Stede’s arm while Stede gently massages his head and tells him that he’s loved as many times as he needs to hear it.

Honestly, I think it comes down to the fact that some people hate Stede so much that they’ll pick any random character and say that they’re “better” for Ed than Stede is.

But yeah, Will Arnett was genius in that role. Major props to him for making that episode almost unwatchable for me because of just how well he plays an unlikable douchebag.

Scrolled past a few tweets today saying what a good person/sweetheart Calico Jack is and had a good laugh about it because I figured it was some sort of weird joke. Reader, they were not joking.

ok i finished first ep of deadloch and I’m really enjoying it so far! it’s like the perfect balance of grit and humor for me

i really hope (and i have full faith) that we’ll be shown that Eddie isn’t a complete idiot and that she’s smart in her own way, and I’m excited to see how they approach that

as for suspects, I’m not really suspicious of anybody except for the mayor. I don’t think she murdered anyone but I do think she’s hiding something

Right now, Ed and Stede are tucked up in bed, and Ed is already fast asleep, breathing deeply with his head on Stede’s chest and arm draped over Stede. Meanwhile Stede is running his fingers gently through Ed’s curls, being careful not to snag any tangles, and when he presses his lips to Ed’s forehead to give him a kiss he sees Ed smile softly in his sleep
