Last he remembered, he was doing his usual job of fighting Shadows under the moonlight. Was he hit with a sneak attack that blindsided him? This is not good. Struggling to get up on his knees with sore limbs, Minato tried to survey his surroundings… And it was all pitch black as well. “…what the hell? Am I in the Velvet Room or something?”

It was any Goddess’s sacred duty to aid those in need. Poor, unforunate and lost souls, wandering in hopes of finding salvation. And one of them now stood before her, the (self-proclaimed) graceful and merciful Aqua. With a soft smile, she looked at the young man, ready to begin her speech and explain the rules of the afterlife to him, but before she even opened her mouth, he spoke, mentioning... what was it? Ah right!

“Hmm? The Velvet Room? Oh, no, no, no, it’s not.” As if those pinchpennies up above would ever let her have it all cool and fancy. Who was the Goddess here anyway? Her carefully put facade almost dropped as she answered, trying to retain those bits of grace and mercy she wished to be known for. But could it be that he had already been in familiar situations and places before? Eesh, and she thought she could get this over with as fast as possible. So much for a break she was hoping to take. “You see, you’re here because your time in the world of the living has come to an end.”
