I’m going to share my favourite tickle tropes because nobody asked.

Strong muscular people who are much stronger than their lers but just let themselves be tickled and they have absolutely no excuses other than the fact that THEY. ARE. LOVING. IT.

“I don’t think I’m ticklish”. Like when people genuinely do not know if they are ticklish just because they’re not super sensitive and nobody has found *that* spot. And when they find out they are all they can do is laugh and ask for more. That’s the cutest thing ever.

Just tickle fights. There is something I love in the playfulness you get from tickle fights. And I’m talking about the one in which there is no winner, it’s just for fun. I think the best moment of these is when both people are just tickling each other at the same time and they just collapse laughing but neither of them wants to stop. This is just the purest thing.

Lees that deliberately ask for tickles and you clearly can tell. I’m talking about putting on a crop top even when it’s starting to get cold. Raising their arms around their favourite ler and stretching, exhibiting their vulnerable spots just because they are dying to be tickled.

Lers getting tickled. This is relatively new but I read a fic in which the lees just attack their ler and. O my Gosh. Please yes. So sweet and cute. And when your ler just wants to tickle you but they are so incredibly ticklish what are you going to do? Could you really not tease them?

Chasing. This goes back to tickle fights. Chasing just makes me happy. When you are running and you hide and for a single moment you think you got away and you’re actually sad but you can still feel the adrenaline pumping in your veins and you just hope to get caught and then your ler is right next to you. And you’re fucked.

Well my name kind of gives it away but. Brats. I’m not talking about very insistent one, I’m talking about the “What are you going to do about it?” “Is that really all you’ve got?” “I was expecting you to last longer” “I actually thought you would make me laugh, this is nothing”. I can’t even decide if I prefer them lees or lers. Just give them to me and I’ll be happy.

And the last one, cause this is getting long. I love light tickles. Fluttering your fingers on somebody’s neck and just let them giggle. When the lees doesn’t move and the lers just enjoy this beautiful sweet moment. Soft cute kisses on somebody’s stomach until they are snickering and covering their faces. Lightly tracing shapes on somebody’s back and watching them shiver and slightly twitch but not moving because the touch is so nice.

Ways to tickle the belly:

I have drawn my new ticklish OC as a test subject to tickle her belly hehe

1- Directly to squeeze the belly like a soft giant marshmallow, a very ticklish marshmallow. ✨

2- Then a classic, the pricks in the belly with the fingers. My OC is very ticklish in the belly, one finger playing her is enough, but wouldn't it be more fun if there were more fingers?

The Under Used Adorable Prompt/Trope

Hi yes I’d like to make a formal complaint to the tumblr writing community?

The trope of light tickles is incredibly underused and under appreciated!

Examples:

Lightly tickling someone while their asleep so they do that sleepy/dopey smile and wake up giggling

When person A is trying to be mad at person B, so person B tickles person A juuuust enough to make not smiling hard, while teasing them until they eventually crack a smile

Person A absentmindedly tracing random shapes on person B, bonus if it’s on their palm

Something causes person A to cry, so person B comforts them, and then tickles them just to help/see them smile again.

Person A claiming they arent ticklish, but instead of person B tickling them alot right off the bat, they slowly tickle more and more while person A struggles to hold out as it gets worse untill they eventually crack.

Super light kisses on skin that tickle and make the person squirm, (usually on neck or stomach)

Person A focusing on something while person B is being needy trying to get their attention, so person B lightly tickles person A, who struggles to ignore person B now until they finally crack.

Person A absentmindedly drawing shapes on Person B, who finds it adorable. However, person B is really ticklish, so they have to try really hard not to squirm or laugh and ultimately disturb person A, who is adorable when they are off on their own world. At some point though, person A notices what they and person B are doing, and now tickles on purpose to see how much they can get away with.

Ear/Neck tickles.

Person A complaining they hate their laugh, much to the disagreement and annoyance of person B. So person B lightly tickles them just to get Person A giggling so they cant disagree with all the compliments person B continues to give them.

Person A challenges Person B to a round of video games, claiming they can beat their score. The winner gets an agreed on prize. However on Person B’s turn, Person A begins tickling them just lightly enough to be distracting, so person B ends up loosing.

Person A doodling with a marker on Person B, but they’re too ticklish and are struggling to stay still, and mess the drawing up so Person A has to restart.

Similar idea as previous prompt. Person A is doing Person B’s makeup, but the makeup brushes tickle and they are struggling to stay still, much to A’s chagrin and amusement, causing them to have to continually redo things. (Can also be done with things like body paint)

Not really tickling but Person A brushing Person B’s hair and Person B accidentally falls asleep.

Person A doesn’t like their smile, so they always cover it when they laugh, much to Person B’s disappointment. In retaliation, Person B starts lightly tickling Person A, who covers their smile, but it means they cant use their hands to stop Person B’s tickles, as they slowly get worse and worse and Person A eventually breaks

The classic Person A gets stuck and Person B takes advantage of it to tickle them

Using tickles to help tire someone out so they can sleep, (A great way to get a persons mind off a previous nightmare and cheer them up too)

—TIPS:

All of these are meant to be light or medium tickles, more so giggling and squirming and not screaming and thrashing. Few people enjoyed being tickled that rough, many hate it. Keeping the tickles light and bearable so the other person secretly has fun too makes the situation way cuter

Scientifically speaking, laughter, even forced laughter, triggers the release of dopamine in the brain. Being tickled actually does help someone who is depressed or upset feel happier.

It’s always sweet when Person A can tell when Person B is tired and has had enough and they stop before pushing them too far

Teasing. Teasing the person who’s being tickled and cant argue back 10/10

Many people find super light tickles soothing, like when someone traces on your back gently, these are also cute.

When tickles boarder right on the line between soothing and actually tickling and Person A can’t decide whether they like it or not. Bonus if person B is aware and enjoys tormenting the other.

Person B saying they will stop tickling when Person A agrees with them/repeats something they say. Example: “I’ll stop when you admit how cute you are!” (Even in this scenario, avoid thrashing rough actual torturous tickles, you want person A to cave rather then actually being forced by desperation for person B to stop)

Things I love while tickling lees:

Buckle in all you flustered little lees, this one is gonna be long. 

Giggles. It is literally the sweetest ever sound to grace God’s green Earth. Each and every giggle is completely unique and I have never heard a giggle I haven’t liked. 

Yelps and squeaks. Now this is fuckin cute. Having a lee restrained and completely open to play with only for them to start squeaking and yelping with each little poke and prod? sign me UP because I LIVE for that shit. 

Snorts. Now this one… this one is a fuckin killer. If I’m tickling you and you snort when I hit a certain spot, I’m going after that spot for the next year, just to try to get that cute lil snort out. 

Screams. If your goal is to get me to tickle you more and more, then screaming is a great option. Cause I’m not givin up til you break into a ticklish lil squirmy ball of giggles. 

Begging. Oh. My. God. If you beg for me to stop or continue the tickles, you’ve sealed your own fate at that point. We could be at the END of a session and I’ll start a whole new one if you fuckin beg. 

The sucked in tummy. When I start to bring my hands down on a lil lee’s tummy and they suck it in just to try to get away I melt. Like seriously, where do you think you’re goin? I’m gonna get that tummy!

Wiggling side to side while my hands are at your side. Again! Where do you think you’re goin! I got hands on either side of you and they’re both gonna dig in, why not lay there like a good lee and take it.

Trying to buck me off. Oh its so funny when they do this! I think people often forget that I’m 6′1 and 225 pounds, so I’m 100% sure that you’re not going anywhere but tickle town. 

Wiggling and scrunching toes. Oh don’t try to hide em, I’m gonna get em regardless. I’ll hold your toes back and get to those sensitive toe pads and that’s where the tickling really starts!

Blocking one foot with the other. Oh silly, you’re blocking one only to put the other one in danger! What does this even accomplish besides more tickles? Try harder silly! 

Teasing. Listen, if you ever want tickles, I’ll fuckin crack at the slightest tease and I won’t hold back. That goes for you lees who want it bad, but hate to admit it.
