I'm too burnt out and busy with exams to write a longer post, but I wanted to say that Ottawa Explosion was near perfect this year. Right people, right bands, right pretty much everything. 

Here's my top 5:

1. Tweens (straight up magical)

2. Pookie & the Poodlez (maybe the best birthday party I've been to)

3. New Swears (I crowdsurfed for the first time!)

4. Needles//Pins (nothing like finally getting to see a band you love)

5. The Yips (possibly my favourite local band)

P.S. My new zine will be done this Sunday (hopefully.) It will likely be at least somewhat shitty. Let me know if you want one!

I reviewed Silkken Laumann’s warehouse party for Ottawa Showbox! I didn’t mention this in the review but I accidentally turned it into a high school party which made a lot of people uncomfortable. What a great night.
