GENERAL INFORMATION.

NAME : Rebecca Anne Rockford ALIAS : Becca Lloyd NICKNAME(S) : Bex, Beck, Becky ( sparingly, mostly used by her biological family ) TITLE(S) : None. MOTHER : Diane Clare Rockford, a homemaker - often photographed next to her husband and a frequent speaker on the role of mothers if their child is found to be a mutant. FATHER : The Reverend John Rockford, also known as Brother John to the public, a loud and powerful voice among those who are anti-mutant. SIBLING(S) : Elijah and Mark Rockford, twins, and her younger brothers - she is unsure if they're mutants, but has a suspicion. OTHER : Monica Klein, an elderly woman who took a 20-year-old Rebecca off the street and gave her a home. A no-nonsense but extremely warm type, she owns Mo's, a diner. Becca only knows a little about her personal life - mainly that she had a son. CHILDREN : None. PET(S) : A cat that hangs around her fire escape window

EDUCATION : High school dropout, though she later earned her GED. She also has a certification in food safety, and has been playing around with an application to culinary school to be a real pastry chef. LANGUAGE(S) : English RELIGION : Raised on a particularly harsh brand of Evangelical Christian Fundamentalism, she would now classify herself as something of an Agnostic, not entirely certain of a God but not entirely certain what that would mean for her, either.

HAIR : Red, verging into auburn, often left loose and flowing when not on - shift, otherwise pinned back out of her face and eyes. EYES : Hazel, framed by dark lashes. BUILD : Tall and willow-y, around 5'10" without heels. She doesn't work out, being soft around the edges. TIMELINE.

Born to Reverend John Rockford and his wife, Diane in a rural North Carolina town, she's named Rebecca Anne after her two grandmothers.

SIX : Her mother gives birth to twins - Elijah and Mark.

SIXTEEN : Rebecca, always a level-headed and godly girl, starts acting erratically. Unbeknownst to her parents ( and to herself ) her mutant abilities of touch - triggered empathy - and being able to influence the feelings of others through touch - have surfaced. She also begins to show signs of compulsions at this point, washing her hands repeatedly until they’re raw, praying in certain groups of four, etc. A number of things are tried until at last, the Reverend attempts to lay hands on his daughter to “rid her of Satan” alongside some church elders. Every participant involved is hospitalized in the local psychiatric ward, except the her father. While recovering, Rebecca overhears her parents discussing “next steps” which include hiding her away at some in-patient facility. Terrified, she ends up running away.

SIXTEEN - NINETEEN : Spending the majority of her time moving from place to place, “Bex Lloyd” ( as her fake ID names her ) spends her nights trying to sleep and her days trying to numb the near-constant barrage of emotions she’s subject to with anything she can, including alcohol or pills. She ends up in some seedy places, with seedier people. The few times she’s arrested, she manages to utilize her powers to inspire a measure of sympathy and get free.

TWENTY : Bex and a group of friends break into a diner in NYC, Mo’s, to steal some cash. They think it’s empty, but the owner, Monica, is in the back room and confronts them. When her friends attack the woman and leave her for dead, Bex pauses long enough to call an ambulance before ditching. When she comes by to check up on the owner later, thinking she might not recognize her, Monica offers her a job and her couch.

CURRENT : After almost a decade, Bex is still working at Mo’s. She’s since taken over most of the day to day operation, as Monica’s knees aren’t what they used to be. She managed to get clean, as well as earn her GED. But since then she’s kind of stalled … she can’t fathom leaving Mo, and besides, who would bake kickass pies? She still has trouble with compulsions and hasn’t fully controlled her powers, rather using mitigating things like cleaning or gloves to do the trick - but she’s a lot more stable than she once was.
