Apparently my director went to see a production of West Side Story a few years ago, and the guy playing Chino forgot his gun before coming out for his final scene. Once it got to the big scene where he is supposed to shoot Tony, he screeched “Poison Boots” and kicked the actor playing Tony until he went down. The girl playing Maria then had to jerk the shoe off of Chino’s foot, and had to do the gunshot scene asking “How many kicks Chino? How many kicks, and one kick left for me”.
We’re there. Where? Well, let the stats speak for themselves:
The Magic the Gathering RPG is officially available for Alpha Playtest. Click the link above and you’ll find yourself in a Google Drive folder with the Core Rulebook (As of 19th of July 2016), a blank character sheet, and pre-genned sheets for each of the current members of the Gatewatch.
What this means is I have written the system to the degree where I’m willing to release it, very bare-bones, to the public. I am doing this because I need as much feedback on the core mechanics and the game itself in order to make this a polished product we can all enjoy.
Please reblog this post, don’t just like it. I appreciate every like I get, but reblogging the post allows for it to reach more of the community, especially after Tumblr destroyed its own tagging searches.
Add any feedback on this post, as an ask in my inbox, or by sending me an e-mail (an email has been created specifically for this project and can be found on the front page of the pdf).
I was prompted to make a card with mechanics from the 1st and 2nd block of a plane. So I went with Ravnica, specifically the Replicate and Overload mechanic of the Izzet guild.
