why is it so hard to let go of someone? why can’t it be easy like blinking or eating your favourite food or just simply existing? 

why does it feel so suffocated especially at night, when you are all alone and your mind takes you on a detour to all those beautiful memories you shared? life feels miserable and  living seems a little harder but it wont last forever, i am told.

Did you ever wonder how long your “forever” was going to be?

For me forever meant seeing the wrinkles by your eyes when you smiled. I wished to see your eyes crinkle when ever you were with me.

For me forever was holding your warm hands. It somehow made my hands feel really small, like it always knew that the spaces between your fingers was right where mine fit perfectly. 

For me forever was your warm hug, which made my problems feel so small, like there was none at all. It always made me feel secure under your tight embrace. 

For me forever was when you told me we’d grow old together, when you giggled and wondered what our babies would look like. And i’d say he/she will have the same chinky eyes we both have, grow taller like him and fairer like me. 

But our forever was shattered in the blink of an eye. You finally decided you didn’t need me anymore. You decided I deserved better when you have no way of knowing that. You decided all on your own and just left me hanging there, to pick up the pieces that has been left on the streets we walked, in the restaurants we dined and in the memories you left. This is all too hard but i shall try to let go of our forever, piece by piece.
