"I understand, maybe I could help you some time. I do have some experience in dealing with them as well." Kharon offers with a little nod, his eyes fixed on the pendant in his hands. He pulls a bit of string tight around the top, "Only if you would want that, I know that you can handle it yourself. I guess, I just worry." He hums softly, bright eyes flickering up to look at Issac, a small smile touching his lips. @harbingercfdeath

"it is but i have to do it to get to the spirit at times and that's the only thing that really matters." issac looks over at the other and shakes his head "if i didn't have to fight soul stealing demons it would generally make my life easier don't get me wrong, but it does keep me on my toes."

"That's actually really nice, thank you." Kharon's brow raised as he took in what they said. He couldn't recall the last time someone said anything like that to him before and it was both off putting and heartwarming. "I didn't know saying it the way I did, made it sound as if I was putting myself down. I suppose I just got used to it, feeling that way." He lowers his gaze a bit embarrassed by the whole thing, "I'll do better next time." @harbingercfdeath

@penniesfortheferryman asked "Don't judge me, I'm stupid."

"You are not stupid and i don't ever want you to put yourself down like that again." He frowns as he looks over at Kharon "There is always room for improvement, but no one is perfect, and they never will be. i don't care even if you're a god, you're not perfect. There will always be new questions and things to learn, just because you haven't do so yet isn't a reason to call yourself stupid."

Not expecting the response Kharon lets out a hard laugh that turns into a quick cough, forcing the blood in his mouth to pour out the corners. Licking at his lips a quick succession of chuckles leaves him as well,

"That's fair." He huffs, leaning his head back and taking a deep breath to center himself again.

"Ophelia, my cat. She died centuries ago and stuck around with me after, and generally she is free roaming. There are spots where I can call for her, like here, and make sure she isn't causing too much mischief but... she hasn't arrived yet." Kharon kneels, arm on his knee as his other holds up the bell and jingles it to call for her.

Kharon hums softly sinking lower into the water, making small waves so the bubbles laying on top move with it. A soft smile touches his lips as he looks over at her, using some water to slink back his wet hair. He always loved sharing a bath with her, it was calming for him, her company making a simple thing so much better. Leaning forward he pushed some of her hair behind her ear, his thumbs passing over her cheek at the same time.

"You're so beautiful." He hums softly, more to himself than anything before he continues, "Would you like me to get your back?"

Kharon is quiet as she spoke, only the sound of a soft sniffle comes when her voice fades. With his head slightly tilted down he feels the tears gathering in his eyes before they fall over his cheeks. He was crying because he believed her, and he never thought he would believe those words aimed at him. Not just from her, but from anyone, he never thought he was capable of being loved that way or at all honestly. Regardless of the years they have already spent together, or the fact that they were married and had children. A small part of him never felt good enough, coupled with the trauma of past relationships. He didn't think he would get here, where he could finally accept that she loved him that much.

He felt a new kind of happiness, of relief. And it came out of him in the form of tears, and a smile.

Reaching out he takes her hand between both of his, bright amber eyes still swimming with tears, his face red. He tries to talk but a soft rough sound leaves him and his lips fall closed, leaving his to tremble as he nods his head. He can't speak, but he hopes that she understands how much he loves her back. That he would love her in every lifetime after, he would find her if this one were to end.

I love you, too.
