note but tuxam using -dono is so cute to me...... to me it's like. he doesn't see any other lord being higher or even equal to tuxedo sam's level (but still respects them, hence using -dono instead of -sama like with tuxedo sam) because of how intensely he respects and looks up to him. im putting him in the microwave

the sanrio times published the 2nd half of their article and there's some interesting things in it

such as how they were going to define the relationship between the lords and the knights. some examples were the sanrio characters being omamoris (good luck charms) and being brough around to oshikatsu activities. they even considered anthropomorphized kitty and friends but felt if they did that, the relationship would be limited by the formula

another thing is that they held auditions and got around 200 applicants with some of them even auditioning for multiple roles lol. the character designs and personality traits were already completed so they mainly picked candidates based on vibes (aka did they suit the character)

theres also nakamura shogo (sanahs va) saying how difficult it was during the recording of the songs lmao. a lot of the candidates were already fans of the sanrio characters they auditioned for, which is interesting. matsuoka yohei (hangyons va) was already a fan of hangyondon when he auditioned for the role though murakami (the producer) mentions he didnt appear like that during auditions
