How y’all THINK fanfic authors react when you send multiple comments on different fics: Ugh, another comment from them? Wow, I don’t appreciate how they enjoy what I write. :(

How fanfic authors actually react: OH MY GOD ANOTHER COMMENT? They must be on a marathon! I hope they read my recent whump fic and tell me what they think. Their kindness will be what drives me to finish my current WIP!!!! I WON’T FAIL YOU, NEW READER.

I say this as someone who works at a nonprofit: the attitude “someone who has nothing will be grateful for anything” is harmful and dehumanizing when it’s used to justify donating something ripped, stained, or expired to someone less fortunate.

Homeless people deserve clothing with good structural integrity. Victims of house fires deserve linens that are free of stains. No one should have to eat expired food. It’s disrespectful to give people scraps when they’re already hurting.

Please, out of respect for your fellow humans, check the dates on your food donations before you drop them off.

Brainworms got me when I was thinking about my Scum Villain in-progress fic: Shen Qingqiu (the OG, Shen Jiu) waking up on Shen Yuan's body: turns out they managed to resuscitate him, but System already got hold of Shen Yuan's soul, so Shen Jiu's soul was sent to replace him. Shen Yuan's family, in an act of desperation, decided to try some experimental treatment when he was in a coma. And it worked - well, he's alive, so it worked, right? There's still chronic illness/disability involved and he seems to have some memory loss and personality change. Now Shen Jiu has to face a world without cultivation AND having a debilitating condition, while also having how to act with a loving family. Can he come to terms with it? Will he alienate the family? Will he use his skills at arts as a means of raising his status in the society? Will he find Proud Immortal Way on Shen Yuan's computer, track down Airplane only to find that the latter, after suffering electrocution, has been replaced with Shang Qinghua? Can someone please write this, I don't want to but I want to read it so if you do please let me know. Or if something similar exists.

I want you to reblog this if you believe that two people can be very close and physically affectionate with one another, but still have a completely nonsexual, non-romantic relationship.

Honestly, one of the main reasons I wouldn’t last long at food service (apart from chronic health issues I got at other jobs ;’) ) is I would also give away food that would be thrown out at the end of the day and probably inevitably get fired for it.
