10 Best Payday 2 Mods You Can’t Play Without
Tumblr media
💾 ►►► DOWNLOAD FILE 🔥🔥🔥 Payday 2 was first released in , and since then it has received new content in the forms of new heists, weapons and characters. While there is a massive amount of content in the game, some fundamental parts could do with tweaking and there are some cosmetic changes that would breathe more life into it. Thankfully, Payday 2 has a large modding community, and the game allows for extensive customization without penalty. Here we rank some of the very best Payday 2 mods. You may be a hardened criminal risking your life for fortune and thrills, but there are some risks you don't want to take - like catching a disease from the general public. This mod means that all civilians that don't already wear a hat will be seen wearing surgical masks as you carry out your operations. If you feel particularly concerned, you can even make this apply to cops, although it is not enabled by default. This mod adds just a little sense of realism for many people around the world right now. The time of day when pulling off a heist can change the whole robbery experience. In Payday 2 heists are done at pre-determined times, and you cannot choose what time you want the heist to take place without this mod. Doing a stealth heist with the time set to night makes it seem more real and immersive whilst also making it tenser. Some locations completely transform at night and almost take on a new life. The neon and drug-fueled world of Hotline Miami has crossed over into Payday 2 in a few instances. A new synthwave inspired menu greets you upon launch, and during gameplay, you will now have the iconic Hotline Miami combo counter displayed in the top left of your screen. The HUD also features damage indicators simialr to the Borderlands series. This is a must-have mod for any fans of Hotline Miami as it gives Payday a new coat of '80s inspired paint. One of the biggest barriers to multiplayer fun is language differences. Playing a game with people that don't understand you can be incredibly infuriating. The Chat Translator mod allows you to click on text sent in chat and translate it to your preferred language via Google Translate services. What's even more useful is that you can type a message back and translate it into the desired language, meaning not only can you understand what is being said but you can also send messages the other way. It is worth noting that this mod won't always be necessary as in-game text chat is not a frequently used feature. An additional thing to bear in mind is that if too many translation requests are sent to Google from the mod, it may become temporarily unavailable. The Quickchat Mod is a straightforward yet useful mod that addresses one of Payday 2's fundamental weaknesses, communication. Payday 2 has a limited and rudimentary pinging system. The pinging system only allows you to point out specific items of interest, such as special units, or call another heister to follow you. In Payday 2, you cannot ping specific spots or communicate with your team effectively without using the in-game text chat, which can be slow and is not ideal during a high-stakes heist where every second counts. The Quickchat Mod allows you to easily choose from a variety of commands which will then appear in text chat for all to see. Each heister in Payday 2 can be downed three times before getting taken immediately into police custody upon their next down. During intense firefights, it can be hard to keep track of the status of your crew and how many times they have been downed, yet it's vital to know. Remembering the remaining downs for yourself and your crew can now be taken care of with this mod. It can be configured to show how many times each member has been downed or how many downs they have remaining. The downs are then displayed in the health circle of each crew member, and there are also options to send messages in chat when someone is on their final down. The ECM Jammer is a handy tool, but knowing how much time is left on one can be difficult. ECM Jammers render cameras and mobile phones useless for a short period of time, making them invaluable for stealth gameplay. The last thing you want is for the ECM Jammer duration to expire without you noticing and to walk in front of a camera and have all your hard work ruined. Knowing how much XP you have earned during a heist is pure guesswork, and it can be nice to know exactly how much you've earned before you finish. The total XP you have gained from a heist is only revealed to you at the end of each day, and there's no way for you to track your XP as you rack it up. The XP Notifier changes this and alerts you each time you gain XP, so you get the rush that comes with watching numbers climb. There is nothing worse than trying to run away for you to then discover that you don't have enough stamina to do so. Payday 2 has no visual elements to indicate your stamina, leading to embarrassing moments where an attempted sprint fails. The Stamina Circle mod creates a circle within your health circle that shows your stamina. The great thing about this mod is that rather than add a new visual element somewhere that takes up more of the screen, it utilizes the existing design of the game to create a stamina indicator that is discreet and consistent with the game's style. A lot can go wrong during a heist. Heists are always promised to be quick and clean but rarely is that the case, so it's in your best interests to keep track of everything. Sometimes less is more, and that seems to be the approach Overkill took with Payday 2. The HUD is clean and only shows what is necessary, keeping the game immersive. However, it can be daunting getting thrown in with little to no additional help for new or inexperienced players. The Extra Heist Info provides additional information that can greatly help you get the best heisting experience with its trackers that include achievement tracking and drug cooking tracking, which can be particularly challenging to the beginner criminal.
