In the heart of the Mediterranean sea, where sirens still live.
Welcome! This blog is dedicated to the plurimillennial south-italian city of Naples, in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. ღ ☼
Random mediterranean basin and italian-centered stuff could also appear here occasionally. ☼
The famous quote “Parthenope is not dead, Parthenope has no grave; she's been living as a beautiful young woman for five thousand years, running on hills, running on the beach.” by Matilde Serao inspired this tumblog name. ☼
Blog started on 13th Feb 2017. Feel free to send questions & talk to us ☺
Feels like an achievement unlocked when I complete the 30 kilometres Sentiero Degli Dei (Path of Gods) hike from Bomerano to Nocelle (plus the insane stairs down to Positano) all by myself (I rock! And thank you, single serving kindred travel mate, Wren, for inspiring me!). Of course I had to treat myself to a gratifying limone de gratini at the end of the hike in Nocelle (and gotta love how the local Italians will just talk to me at length when all I can do is smile, nod and say "ciao" repeatedly.)
Now maybe I'm ready for the Santiago de Compostela one day :)
