Bagheera watched him straighten the cuffs of his sleeve.

"You telling him might have the opposite effect," she hummed. "The statement will go in through one ear and right out through the other, and the only thing that will stick is the fact that I told you what he said, and he's going to start getting ideas about why I'd do that and why you'd feel the need to deny it yourself."

No matter how much Baloo tried to pretend otherwise, Bagheera knew for a fact that he was a softie. He'd been quite sweet about it, too, rambling about how he expected Khan to treat her right or there would be trouble. He was so set in his protective friend ways that she doubted he'd actually heard her saying that her and Khan's relationship wasn't LIKE THAT. It was hard to get any contradictory information through Baloo's thick skull once he was convinced of something.

The mention of the 'Tiki bar' peaked her curiosity. Her ears perked up slightly and an amused look crossed her features.

"You don't like Louie's place? But he is doing so much for us," she said matter of factly, though the amusement gleaming in her green eyes only grew. "If it wasn't for him, all those pilots and troublemakers would be scattered around Cape Suzette, chatting people's ears off with their repetitive stories or causing trouble. He's keeping them all in one place, where they don't cause property damage."

She'd seen the deck at Baloo's place not looking its best one time after the bear flew his beloved plane back with one too many drinks in his system, and she doubted Khan wanted that sort of mess anywhere near his properties.

"Besides, you wouldn't get to enjoy my company quite as much as you do if Baloo didn't have that place to hole up in," she pointed out, lighthearted yet making it sound like a matter of fact. "Because I'd be the one he'd be unleashing all his rambles upon, and I wouldn't subject you to that same fate."

"Mr. Baloo wouldn't dismiss any and all gossip when it comes to those he considers a friend."

Not that the businessman felt the same of the pilot. Khan had merely thought of the bear as a freelance pilot he could hire time to time or if Khan wished to be kind about it: an acquaintance. The tiger rubs his temples, annoyed hearing the information actually, but does not let the news bring too much discomfort to the nerves.

It isn't the first time nor shall it be the last that anyone assumed the richest bachelor of Cape Suzette would become involved with a business partner of such high status. It rather annoyed Khan how rumors could turn into a storm of wildfire all on the connections he carried out for the sake of the company.

"Next time I speak with the bear I shall make it known that our relationship is strictly professional." He pauses and lets out a snort in annoyance, straightening the cuffs on his sleeves to perfection.

"That and my private life is none of his concern. Although I don't expect someone of Mr. Baloo's background to understand, given by the company he keeps at that 'TIKI' bar he accommodates."
