Everyone talks about whether third cases in Ace Attorney are filler or for drawing parallels or for characterization or for a breather before the emotional stuff… but i have another suggestion. The real purpose of the third case of each game is to piss the prosecution off as much as humanly possible

it seems people don't understand. a GLUP SHITTO is a character in a very popular piece of media (like star wars) that if you asked a random person or even a casual fan, they wouldn't know who the fuck that is. a BLORBO is just your little guy. can be any kind of character they're just your little GUY. a POOR LITTLE MEOW MEOW is a villain, usually with a sad backstory, who you are defending and woobifying. they've done WRONG. not everyone can be a poor little meow meow. just because they're pathetic doesn't mean they're a meow meow that mf had to commit CRIMES. if you want a pathetic little fucker of any moral persuasion that is a BABYGIRL. usually male, doesn't have to be. just has to be kind of fucked up. get your terminology CORRECT

sorry but after the latest episode i am soooo firmly on team labru. because of how fucking insane kabru is about laios. the way he thinks about that blonde man is Not Normal and im clapping and cheering. the way he has singlehandedly devoted himself to understanding and befriending this Fucking Guy for reasons that are deranged. laios truly deserves someone who is as insane about him as he is about everything

its about how deep down toshiros resentment of laios stems from a place of self hatred. how laios is open where he feels he can't be. how he intensely regretted not being open about his feelings for falin. in the heat of the moment, throwing punches while he's starving and exhausted and traumatized out of his mind, he threatens to kill laois — but afterward lets laios sit with him as he eats, says he's envied laios, says he'll never set foot on the island again but offers to help him escape the consequences of the very thing he was so angry about.
i see posts, mostly joking, asking why toshiro could both fall for falin and her autistic rizz and hate laios's autistic swag. but like. that's not true at all. as much as laios grates on him due to his cultural background, he envies traits of laios that are autistic as hell.
toshiro and laios are two people who love so deeply and intensely it drives their entire being. they are two people who express love in ways that grind up against each other, and who were not able to articulate and communicate that for most of their friendship. and it all comes to a head explosively, horribly, in a moment of tragic revelation.
and yet when they part, still bearing the marks of each others' fists...
i want you to eat well and rest, laios says
i will send someone to help you from across the sea, toshiro says

I say this with love but a lot of Dungeon Meshi fans people need to realize that a sexy scene that they personally enjoy is still sexualizing the characters AND that sexualization isn't inherently a bad thing.

words cannot express how much i love the cosmic horror trope of "character gets too close to The Horrors but instead of going insane or being blinded or otherwise physically scarred or cognitively impaired they just lose their emotional capacity completely, becoming an anhedonic shell, which doesn't seem like it should be such a terrible fate compared to what what else they could have lost until you remember that your feelings also govern your basic self-preservation and survival instincts, ability to make choices, consent, etc."

As a person of colour, Toshiro is so unbelievably relatable once you realize the reasons and emotions behind his actions. He's been microaggressed upon p much all the time down to the name people call him, but he continues to be silent about it because of the cultural pressure he was raised on of having to be polite and kind and not to speak his true thoughts.
I can relate so hard to his jealousy about laios being able to be more open and confident and speak his mind. I can never bring myself to dislike him at all esp during the laios/toshiro fight because both of them are coming from very real relatable places to me. Its a nuanced conflict. Toshiro has a lot of pent up emotions he needed to get out for all the reasons i said before. And laios was rightfully upset about Toshiro not seeing him the same way he sees him and hiding all of this from him. Both of these guys are in the wrong in this situation. It's not a good guy / bad guy thing.
They both are different kinds of autistic people under different circumstances and I can honestly relate to them both on different things.
Also the scene right after dude gives him the bell and gives them a way out if things were to get bad. And with that we see he obviously cares for laios and the rest of the party despite everything.
All in all. Love u Toshiro they could never make me hate u !!

one thing i love about dungeon meshi is how specialized everyone is. how hypercompetent characters completely flounder outside of their area of expertise. how in a Battle Royale situation where everyone had to 1v1 kabru would absolutely SWEEP and yet he is not remotely suited for the dungeon and keeps fucking dying as a result. how chilchuck is entirely aware of his own limitations while marcille angsts about them. how completely incompatible the characters are with any sort of powerscaling arguments.

I just finished reading dungeon meshi and yknow. when people talked about laois doing things like getting on the ground and barking I was like yeah “haha so true” but no he literally does that. there was no amount of irony in those statements he really said “mind if I get on all fours and start barking and snarling and growling” and he did not wait for answer

Kind of hilarious to me how poorly the title "Mob Psycho 100" localized to English-speaking areas. To someone whose first language is English, it scans as:
Mob (Yakuza, Mafia)
Psycho (violent person with "crazy" behaviors)
Thus: a particularly violent member of organized crime.
But in Japanese it scans as:
Mob (background characters in crowd scenes in manga or anime)
Psycho (short for psychic)
Thus: a psychic who looks/acts like someone you'd never pick out of a crowd scene in a comic.
