‘Ministry Of Silly Walks’ I'm sorry to have kept you waiting, but I'm afraid my walk has become rather sillier recently, and so it takes me rather longer to get to work. I remember watching ‘The Holy Grail’ and ‘Life Of Brian’ on VHS a lot as a kid. And long before actually seeing ‘Monty Python’s Flying Circus’, I read all of the scripts for the sketches from a (very thick) book. The Pythons are a core part of my sense of humour, as I’m sure is the case for so many people in the UK and abroad. 'When once you had believed it, now you see it's sucking you in' ...don't it make you feel alive. Thanks to Alex Den Boer for suggesting this week's lyric themed Wildcard Wednesday, which comes from LCD Soundsystem's song 'Get Innocuous'. I love their music but clearly not enough to know they split up five years ago and have only recently gotten back together. Would have to say 'Home' is my favourite of theirs. Anyway, I've drawn the man James Murphy abstractly surrounded by his music. As a side note, I know a number of you suggested David Bowie for this week's wildcard but outside of the widely popular tracks, I can't profess any connection with his music. Any artist will tell you about the curse of diminishingly decent clothes. You nip into the studio to grab something and after half an hour of tinkering, you realized you’ve ruined your newest shirt with inexplicable paint smears. I try not to venture out to the studio in the garden unless I’m wearing this hoodie (six years old and going strong) and a particularly tatty pair of jeans to minimize the curse.

'A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...' Ch-ch-ch-boop-boop. I went to see the latest Star Wars film on Christmas eve with Mrs Pahnl and friends. It made me realize it was the first time I had seen the yellow scrolling Star Wars text on the silver screen. I had seen it parodied so much, I thought I was watching a satire and let out a little laugh. Before long though, I was well into it and loved how it harked back to the older films with the dated wipes! 'Shoot For The Moon' In one sense, the moon was quite far away but in another, it was pretty close in the grand scheme of things.
