people always talk about evil clones like oooh a dark mirror oohh what if you saw what a cruel person you were/are capable of becoming. and well yes but what if you were the evil clone. what if you looked in the mirror and what you saw was so bright it blinded you. what if you had to know exactly how good you could have been.

so. my last dnd character :0 We never actually finished this dnd campaign since our dnd group seems to have a curse of imposters syndrome and can only do prewritten campaigns at the moment (we’re playing curse of strahd at the moment yipee :]]) BUT!!

Caryln Folkor my beloved <33 I want to play her again so bad you have noo idea- She was a halfling warlock with her brother’s spirit being her patron! Her whole backstory was that she grew up in her family’s butcher business and worked there when she was old enough (just realised she’s probably got muscle so good for her)! But then she realised in her late teens that her family was commiting cannabalism (or cutting up any other fantasy race for their butcher business so no cow,pig,chicken etc etc) and she tried to run away when she found that out but then got trapped in her own home and was forced to work in the actual preparing of the meat (since before she’d just worked at the counter)- and one time she went to dinner and had meat ofc and her brother wasn’t at the dinner table!

She realised afterwards that the meat she’d eaten that night had been from her brothers corpse (eidgdkevdkdgsks) and now is haunted by said brother’s ghost. She ended up being able to escape and now she’s 28 and working at a bakery and thats where the actual campaign’s plot starts ajdhsk- i realised how fucked up her backstory is oh noo also not sharing the campaign plot here since idk if you’re intrested in that(if you are i will happily blab about it lmao) and that would also make this ask wayyy to long

YIPPEEE tragic that the campaign never finished but curse of strahd sounds so fun!! someday she will return to u, I will manifest for you 🙏🙏 AND THE WAY MY JAW DROPPED AT HER BROTHER NOT BEING AT HER DINNER TABLE IS SO??? SLKDFS ?????? Is there any reason they killed her brother or not??? thats so awful for her, but thank goodness she got out! I AM very curious as to the campaign plot now!! what happened to her and her brother? also realizing that you make a lot of characters haunted by ghosts 😳 which is pretty cool, being literally haunted by your past....

I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but intrusive thoughts are basically your brain’s (sometimes very upsetting) way of saying “If there were two guys on the moon and one of them killed the other with a rock would that be fucked up or what?”

I’ve personally found that adding the “would that be fucked or what?” part in myself really helps put the more disturbing thoughts we sometimes get into perspective. Helps me say “yeah thar sure would be fucked up” and move on with my day.

It’s not not a secret desire, it’s not something that only occurs to you because you’re a bad person. It’s just your brain deciding to process the fact that it knows an uncomfortable thing exists in the world by feeding it to you in an absurd “what if” with you as the main character.

no sburb beta earth au where dave "microcelebrity" strider suddenly gains a big following on the internet after a spike of people discover his sbahj comics online when a screenshot of one goes particularly viral and turns into a [top text/bottom text] meme and some hipsters are like "woah,, this is actually some really avant garde stuff". when he's churning these out sitting in the bathroom stall at school once a day during lunch period. so then he gets REALLY popular and then inevitably gets cancelled at some point when a communications/poli sci major reads one of his comics and then types up a whole memo board explaining how sbahj is actually neo-conservative propaganda written as part of a conspiracy to undermine the 2008 obama presidency. and there's a whole rage war since the memo board was written really convincingly with red arrows and circles drawn around sweet bro's head and everything and dave hasn't made any public statements about it and also no one actually understands what sbahj is about. so threads are being written up about this and people are like emailing death threats to each other over it and someone even tries to doxx him and then manages to find out he lives in texas and some people start actually taking the whole thing seriously because He's From Texas (never mind the fact it's houston). meanwhile dave just started his midterms and he has to focus because he actually cares about school and his future and so he takes a short "hiatus" which people freak out even more over because they take it as him backing away due to the allegations online. and then after winter break dave comes back and opens up a q&a for his 169th "bro wee ar doign it wee ar making it hapen" special and at some point after a barrage of questions in his inbox (q: was "swety bro and hela jeff crassh on the freway" inspired by a real car accident you were in? a: i don't own a car / q: what job do you have in real life? a: unemployed but i pick up roadkill off the street sometimes / q: who did you vote for in the 2008 primaries a: i didn't) someone finally has the bright idea to ask "hey how old are you" and he replies "i'm 13" and all hell breaks loose.
