This isn't about character identities or messing around with AUs because any mid media is going to lend itself to a sandbox mentality. I mean, "suicidal imagery sends me over the edge yes I love Persona 3 why do you ask" or "I love Dangan Ronpa but I can't stomach murder." To a certain extent I respect the hustle, but you can't really continue to consider yourself a fan, can you? Parts of the inherent story or characters or mechanics are fundamentally opposed to your enjoyment.

It's 2024 can we admit if the preferred version of media you enjoy is what you've "fixed" then you don't like it that much
