Snapshots of a slow day in the holy city of Tzfat Israel.
We rode the bus, steadily climbing up the mountain to the highest city in all of Israel. As we rode up there were mass orchards of pomegranates. There were also rolling fields with herds of sheep, and finally the sight of stone buildings highlighted in blue.
When we arrived we visited the Holy City and the Artist Colony. The streets were empty and nearly silent.. Every narrow alley is covered with blue trimmings and stained glass windows colored blue as well. Everywhere you turn there are religious symbols and ancient walkways that many pilgrims had walked before.
In the artist colony, I found myself surrounded by art galleries filled to the brim with modern and religious art from Israeli artists. As I enjoyed each neighborhood I enjoyed the last bit of cool spring air before the blazing hot summer.
I know I rambled a lot here. I am still not sure if I should really write a lot or not. I usually just enjoy taking pictures but sometimes maybe I will write to give some more context. :)

Spring flowers in Tzfat Israel. It is an ancient holy city on the top of one of the highest mountains where artists and religious communities united.
