Chief Minister KCR Inspected Ongoing Works of Police Command & Control center
The Honorable Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao in a surprise visit inspected the ongoing works of the Police Command and Control center, which is under construction in Banjara hills, Hyderabad on Monday evening. The CM expressed his satisfaction over the works which are moving on a fast track as planned, in the seven acres area which would have 20 floors buildings with a 5 lakh square feet built-up area. The Chief Minister desired that this should be brought into activity by completing the works as early as possible. The CM said that in addition to monitoring the Law & Order, the command and control center would also be monitoring the disaster management, festivals and fairs management etc. The CM said that the command and control center which is first of its kind in the country and being built with international standards will become a role model and will provide complete safety to the people by fully making use of the technological know-how.

Hon’ble Minister for MA&UD Held a Meeting at GHMC Head Office

The K.T. Rama Rao, Hon’ble Minister for MA&UD observed that inspite of the State Govt., orders for ban of single use plastic on World Environment Day still the usage of plastic water bottles and plastic materials are being seen in the offices, in this connection he directed Arvind Kumar, Principal Secretary, MA&UD to issue clear directions to all the Commissioners of the Municipal Corporations, Municipalities of the entire State to strictly implement single use plastic and play a very vital role to curb this menace right from the office premises so that it can be implement in the jurisdiction and as well as in the entire City and the State said the Minister.
The Minister interacted with all the Senior Officials of the GHMC and enquired about the Road Restoration works, Desiltation of Nalas, Nala obstruction removals, critical bottle necks, Water Logging Points, action plan with regard to Monsoon Preparedness have been discussed with the Chief Engineers, Zonal Commissioners, Town Planning Officials to show their works in action but not on paper so that effective work can be achieved. Only the Minister, Mayor, Commissioner, Chief Engineers, Additional Commissioners cannot overcome all these problems therefore from ground level staff to the senior officers must have effective coordination for taking actions and implementing strict rules for overall development of the city said the Minister.
The Minister said that the vision of the Hon’ble CM is to take up the development on war footing basis and as per his vision let the Commissioner sent proposals to the Govt., for increasing the Circles from 30 to 50 and Zones from 6 to 10 so that the development works can be taken up in a more appropriate way. There is every need to strengthen the existing Town Planning Departments by deputing more additional staff with which they can take the services for taking up demolitions, nala encroachments etc., with Director Enforcement & Vigilance and Disaster Management.
The Minister expressed that the works which are being taken up are not up to the expectations and need to be taken up with more care right from Circle Commissioners, Zonal Commissioners, Addl. Commissioners to have regular convergence meetings to have more coordination to take up the works on priority.
The Minister also directed the Police Officials to coordinate with the GHMC for taking up Road Restoration Works in some of the areas in the morning so that the road restoration works can be completed as per the target assigned to them.
The Dr.B.Janardhan Reddy, Commissioner, GHMC explained about the action plan and monsoon preparedness, desiltation of nalas and various other activities taken up by the GHMC and stated that the desiltation works have taken up more than that of last year and the works are going throughout the year.
The Additional Commissioners Bharathi Holikeri, Musharaf Ali, Adwait Kumar Singh, Sikta Patnaik, Chief Engineers Ziauddin, Sreedhar, Zonal Commissioners, Superintendent Engineers, Executive Engineers and senior officials of various wings of other Govt., departments have also attended the meeting held at GHMC Head Office today.

Strict Action if PDS Rice is Recycled Karimnagar DCSO Transferred 21 Lakh Metric Tonnes of Paddy Purchased
The Commissioner for Civil Supplies Akun Sabharwal has taken serious note on PDS Rice recycling. Civil Supplies Enforcement and Taskforce teams are keeping strict vigil on PDS rice irregularities. The Enforcement team on 11th raided and caught 540 quintals of PDS rice transporting in 4 Lorries from Varun Industries situated at KC Camp, Huzurabad Mandal, Karimnagar District.
The Commissioner responded very seriously on this issue and transferred officials involved in this matter. He warned that whoever is involved in the PDS Rice Recycling business will be booked under Criminal cases and also will put under PD cases. The Commissioner made a field visit to Karimnagar, Warangal Districts. He inspected IKP Purchase Centers at Manakondur, Keshavapatnam and reviewed with officials in Karimnagar. He visited IKP Purchase Centers in Warangal Rural, Urban, Bhoopalpalli, Mahaboobabad and reviewed with officials in Hanamkonda and discussed with the farmers. He also visited Jangaon, Yadadri and reviewed with officials. He ordered officials to make ground level visits to purchase centres and take necessary steps to see that farmers do not face any loss or problems. Paddy purchasing should be completed faster and shifting of paddy to mills should be done immediately.

Earlier Commissioner Akun Sabharwal checked Varun Industries in Huzurabad where PDS Rice was smuggled for recycling and made preliminary investigation with Local RDO, Police and Enforcement Officials. He transferred responsible DCSO A. Usharani and ordered her to report at Head Office. He also surrendered Deputy Tahasildar M.A. Nawaz and Food Inspected Anwarulla Khan to Revenue Department. He said a complete investigation would be done on this issue. He warned that strict action will be taken on the persons involved in this PDS rice smuggling and no one will be spare in this issue who ever are responsible. The Civil Supplies Department till now purchased 20.95 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from 3.21 lakh farmers through 3119 purchase centers and 20.06 LMTs of paddy is already shifted to mills. The value of paddy purchased till now is Rs.3327.71 crores.
