the dots connected in her head, nodding slowly as she realised who exactly she meant. “parker, of course. i catch ya drift.” she said playfully, before attempting to take a more serious stance. “one question, do you think you could tell my parents ? maybe one of those accidental phone calls to their house of something. i don’t want to be there when they find out. OOO and when do the weird cravings start — i need an excuse to try peanut butter and pickles.”

Finn didn’t say anything, he just turned his attention to Jo, trying to make eye contact with her, wanting to speak to her and apologize.

“It’s kind of a long story..” Finn didn’t know what to say. He didn’t want to disrespect Jo, but he also didn’t want to make Lola uncomfortable.

“Uh- hello Doctor,” Finn said. Of course it had to be his wife that was Lola’s doctor. The vampire had every intention of telling Jo about Lola and the baby, he just couldn’t bring himself to do it, not until after Lola’s first ultrasound, not until he knew that the baby was okay.
