❛ Plenty of things, if you would only step
outside. Though, I will admit...you are
certainly skilled.
Of course, all of it was completely alien to Satya and
she struggled to keep up with the rapid pace at which
D.Va played. She played aggressively and managed
not to die so much, which surely meant she had a bit
of skill. Nevertheless, Satya could hardly wrap her
mind around the idea of spending so much time on a
game, especially the real world was decaying around
them, in desperate need for heroes to save it...
❛ How did you come to find this game,
if I may ask?
a jejune scowl twists into a previously neutral
expression, & she’s left huffing indignantly as
fingers release the keyboard for a second.
❛ you’re a huge party pooper! starcraft
is life, y’know! what else is there to do besides
play & totally kick ass? ❜

Satya winced as the needle wove through her torn flesh and Mercy did her work. She had spent the entirety of the minor surgery gripping the sides of the chair provided, her skin pulling tightly over her knuckles, eyes firmly shut, as she endured the pain in s i l e n c e. When the doctor was done with her work, she almost felt like sending up a prayer in thanks. She was quick to right herself, fastening her uniform back in place and applying her headset; once again becoming s y m m e t r a instead of the pitiful wounded and hurting average person she had been moments ago.
❛ I am in your debt, it seems.

❛ Indeed. It’s why the Vishkar Corporation aims
to secure a contract here and make this city as
clean and efficient as Utopaea.
It was unsightly all of this trash everywhere. How anyone could subject their home to such treatment - much less allow it to remain and clutter the alleyways and pavement - had always puzzled Satya. This was no way to live. Unfortunately, although his intentions were good, she knew that this grassroots effort was not the way to bring about any lasting change; everything they cleaned would be back again within the week, if not by the end of the day.
Still, she followed in his example, using the plastic stick she’d requested to jab at the countless colourful bags and plastic cups that lined the street, poking at them until they stuck firmly on the pointed end of the stick, almost exaggerating her movements so as not to touch the filth herself. This city might’ve been her home once but it was in dire need of aid.

"Is this the life you've been dreaming of?"
The Script’s No Sound Without Silence Starters (Part One)
status: accepting@angxlofmercy
❛ Yes. Each day my efforts shape the world around me in a positive way. I truly could not ask for more.
The method is, admittedly, not at all what I had anticipated; it far exceeds the fanciful daydreams I conjured for myself when I was only a girl.
It had been a difficult path at times, but Satya would be forever grateful to the Vishkar Corporation for their sponsorship. They had seen something in her as a child and nurtured her exceptional talent with hard light conjuration, yes but, beyond that, they had noticed in her the will to bring about effective change and deemed her worthy of that opportunity, gifting her with the moniker Symmetra and the very purpose her life had been lacking. It was not at all what she had expected but, despite the hardship that came with a destiny of greatness, it was far superior.

The Script's No Sound Without Silence Starters (Part One):
"Breaking up comes at a cost."
"All her life she has seen all the meanest side of me."
"Who'd have thought that I'd be here by myself?"
"My head is full of things that I should've done."
"I hope to die."
"Did you lose what won't return?"
"Love’s a battle and life’s a war."
"I think I want you more than want."
"I know you’re missing home."
"Would Dylan be just a poet?"
"We're late to bed."
"When I was younger I'd pray for thunder."
"I could turn back time."
"Now light a match, stand back, watch them explode."
"Keep me from falling down."
"Love what you do."
"We're gonna feel alive."
"Did you lose?"
"I don’t need to worry tonight with you by my side."
"Sometimes words just ain't enough."
"We kissed for the first time."
"Put it in a song"
"You may see my friends."
"It keeps getting louder."
"Either way I'm gonna lose."
"She's stronger than you know."
"Now I know."
"Is this the life you've been dreaming of?"
"I'd stay here forever looking in your eyes."
"The fire's out."
"I’m surrounded."
"I wanna hold you."
"That life you had in Dublin now ain’t nothing but a dream."
"What happened in their hearts?"
"We head to work."
"The wonders of the universe they seem so near."

Can you reblog/like this if you don't mind late responses
What I mean by this is if I become really busy and can’t respond to all of my rps, I want to know that it’s okay that I respond when I have the time. Some people easily lose interest in threads and will drop them if they become too old, which is why I’d like to know who is okay with me responding whenever.

Satya studied the digital battlefield for a long moment, pieces of black and white arrayed seemingly at random. She, however, could make sense of it all and her brows crinkled in concentration as she did just that, examining each one in an effort to predict Athena’s next move. The Sicilian defence was effective and left her opponent with many options...it had been a smart play but, then, all of Athena’s were. It was why she held the programme in such high esteem and was honoured to test her own strategy against it time and time again.

That was deep, although he wouldn’t dare to share his thoughts on those stars to anyone, not even a fellow teammates. 76 grunted in a low, long tone, staring at the tiny lights in the sky as he pondered his life as whole. He knew some of those stars were already dead like him, but their light was still there. It was like he was still there to fulfill his objectives; then, his light could die down.
He saw himself in those stars, and it hurt. Why did he care about that? “Why am I fighting in this team?” Why did he want to protect his teammates? Jack Morrison was dead, and he left nothing behind but pain and bitterness. So, why is 76 so willing to fight for that new Overwatch? He would never admit that.
“Stars are just stars. Nothing more.”
How...disappointing.
Then again, she wasn’t sure what she was expecting; Satya did not speak frivolously and, on those rare occasions when she tried to reach out to others, she usually found that her efforts flopped. Much like now — with but a few words, she was suitably out of her element.
She retreated back to the safety of silence and remained still for another moment, gazing up, all at once mesmerized and seeking refuge in the twinkle of the stars. In something so seemingly random, mankind had found and woven patterns, maps to make sense of the pinpricks that dotted the sky. Order from chaos. And, in return, for centuries the stars stood sentinel, unwavering, bringing light to the darkness.
Interestingly enough, in most cities, the stars were all but dimmed from view because of all of the light pollution, a product of the filth that lay within. Structuring the light and removing the excess pollution suddenly saw the night sky unfold itself, order and harmony restored. This city wasn’t so bad...but many more were and many could benefit from the work she could do, if only they would accept structure. All of the world’s cities deserved to have their lives improved, to see the night sky in all its glory.
In them were her own goals and desires reflected and she enjoyed the brief time to ponder them now and again. A shame he could not say the same.
❛ Such a lack of imagination.

Satya’s main objective has always been to secure the interests of the Vishkar Corporation, no matter where that took her and, evidently, tonight it saw her cross paths with a familiar face, although his gleaming mask was where the familiarity ended. Despite fighting alongside him a few times in the name of the g r e a t e r g o o d, encountering him outside of that was an unplanned development and the new - unknown - variable his presence added served to set her on edge; the fact that he did not want the world to fall to the chaos of Talon did not automatically qualify him as an ally.
❛ I had not expected to encounter anyone tonight.
Tell me, are you here to contact me on behalf of
those who remain from Overwatch or is this
meeting merely one of coincidence?
