I struggle to reconcile things outside of my perspective. I think that's human, you need to be reached and affected, and no one person has the time in this life to be stimulated by every single thing in order to understand it better. That's the beauty of diversity and why it works so well when there is a healthy abundance of it.
But I think we've had a problem in our society for a long time now, and its question of how to tread carefully between not treading on unalienable rights and self centered freedom. I understand how ideas, education and even pandemics spread: saturation.
The problem is when you dont check a groups rationality and you allow them to use our country's founding feature, freedom to justify what they believe to be oppression, and they get away with it while ironically creating an oppressive environment, you have a failed system.
I mean the other day I wondered how we have an immigration problem when we allow people to come into this country but yet dont check up on people who over stayed their visas.
I understand that this is the price we pay for having a democracy: the government of the people made by the people, people will vote for a desirable outcome as rationally as they can and you would assume they have our countries best interests at heart since they want to be so patriotic suddenly and talk about freedoms and how their freedoms are being impeded on by the presence of a black person at a park they go to because they dont feel safe, but really they use freedom as a crutch to not change themselves, and to oppress others to bend them to their wills. but either deliberately tailored to fail because this is like a runaway train where the vast majority of our citizens cant answer basic geography questions or even our own American history--these same Patriots want to celebrate memorial day while calling others out for being different? The scariest part of all is that in this life, it's okay if your crazy, you can be anything you want as long as your functional enough to work and pay your taxes--but the fact that a majority of this countries voting power is held by people who know nothing about oppression and the fight for freedom, who believe that memorial day is a celebration and not a time of remembrance when an entire generation was wiped off the face of the planet because sickness ran rampant... we give the greatest power to the people and yet we dont feel safe cus they have guns? We want to take away guns and bullets, but not make any changes to how a decent percentage of Americans are just as bad as the demographic represented on 90s day time talk shows like jerry Springer and Maury. Those people were real people.
We are letting racists, pedophiles, murderers, looters and psychopaths to not only have voting powers, but hold onto this distorted idea of what freedom means to them: how they can justify their ignorance by not having to accept that it is ignorant because its justified under some imaginary clause that we attained some sort of status in the world as a super power and so therefore colonialism is confused for patriotism and all we want to do is shove our way of life down someone else's throat but we cant fathom not calling the police on a black man at a park because that black man isnt a person to these people, he is a reminder that the voice in these people's heads is wrong, that the world doesnt exist just for them. Any time somebody has to face their ignorance and they are incapable of seeing just how frighteningly wrong they were, you will get someone who is willing to do anything to justify the feelings of incompetence. Rage. Insecurity and fear. And that's what happens everyday across america. We have fake Patriots touting that's not my president when Barack Obama was president, but want to tell immigrants to go back to their country. You can't pick and choose your allegiance. Your commander in chief, for better or worse is the cumulative decision of the people. And let me say that the fact that its trump speaks volumes on why we are where we are at now.
People who suddenly feel ballsy and discriminitive because they see Trump doing it, their blind to their own ignorance, so of course they wont be able to see Trumps.
These people are overly confident and woefully unprepared for life. They bring biased perspectives and murky justifications to meet the conflicts in the real world and their delusion is so potent, their psyche so fragile, they still trotted through to the other side of that conflict thinking they were victorious. This is dangerous and we should push education and not punish whistle blowers. I blame the system that pits people against one another that leaves a candidate only 4 years in an office for a job whose nature states clearance of

“Time is tricky. You have whole months, even years, when nothing changes a speck, when you don’t go anywhere or do anything or think one new thought. And then you can get hit with a day, or an hour, or a half a second when so much happens it’s almost like you got born all over again into some brand-new person you for damn sure never expected to meet.”

Maybe you were just the kind of atomic bomb I needed to kill the old kingdom inside me. I dont know who I'm going to be yet but if I follow the path I laid before me, I hope I'll be somebody worth being.
I was a shitty person doing shitty things and you were the silver lining I never knew could even exist. You tell me I'll never get over it.. you mean over you?

There are days where I cant imagine how I'll make it through to tomorrow. Where the mind weaves warm memories and the heart asks you to listen and you know it means your undoing but you do it every time

You weren’t ever really mine and I wasn’t ever really yours. I liked to think that because it made my heart dance inside my chest, and it cleared my lungs from choking on the broken thoughts that always get spilled from my head. You always told me that you were mine, and you told me that I was yours. But in a world filled with fiction we started to blend. Months went by slowly but too fast. We built bridges between our hearts. It was fun and I felt free. But the thing is. You always thought about yourself. You put yourself first. You invented little lies and made pretend that you were making a constellation about us. And then it happened. One day the bridge between our heart fell to the ground. It was slow but everything seemed so fast. You left. And I’m here still mourning you like you’re dead. Maybe all along you really were.
