You’re just as bold as ever,” Elle said in regards to him hinting at a real kiss as her other hand moved to trace an index finger over his lips, light and playful. “Tempting… but before you distract me with that kissable face, I wanted to ask if you’d like to go on a treasure hunt. It’s in a temple a little out of the way, but I’ll pay for all our expenses. And yes, there might be traps and danger, but nothing we can’t handle. What do you say?” Now it was time to give him what he wanted (not that she hadn’t been thinking about it too) as she leaned in to press soft lips against his, giving an innocent kiss that bordered on deepening but never quite got there. What a tease. Fingers gripped his hair as she gave a quiet, delighted hum as she tasted him, and in return, he might have noticed she had on banana scented lip gloss.
“The day I’m not bold, love, is the day I will ask you to place the barrel between my eyes.” An enticing finger traced his cupid’s bow causing his lips to part and nip at it before taking her wrist up in his hand so he could place a fierce kiss (and slight nip) to the underside.
Trix raised his head from his ministrations to look her squarely in the eye. His own were lit with curiosity. “A treasure hunt?” He purred against her lips, butting his forehead to hers even as she leaned in to place a kiss,
“How could I refuse after such a sweet exchange?” He clicked his tongue for emphasis, licking her banana gloss from the corner of his mouth.
It would be good to get out of town for a while if not for selfish reasons. He wasn’t being completely honest with Elle as to why he’d disappeared for a while. He was in a bit of hot water, backed against a wall with his hackles up. And the more he moved around the less of a chance he had of getting caught up to. Could this potentially put her in danger? Possibly. The thought made his chest cinch with veiled guilt, his smile unchanging as he scanned her face.
Was pretending everything was okay his forte? Absolutely.
The cat stretched his leg out so his boot could rest on the coffee table in front of them, tugging her closer by wrapping his arm around her waist. “Tell me more. Don’t leave any juicy details out.”
