One Piece x Reader {Join My Club} Ch 17

(Y/n)'s Pov

"Law are you going to tell me what's going on? The police wouldn't be at my house unless something really bad was in that box" He had been ignoring me for a couple of minutes now but looked back before his pace slowed. I knew he was just trying to protect me from whatever was in that box though I just couldn't leave it alone. "No comment (Y/n)-ya" Law was an odd one but since I thought of him as my friend, I chose to tease him a little. "Wasn't that a comment?"

"No, it was a reply" It was a good thing I liked Law since if it had been anyone else, I wouldn't have moved on from this so easily. "Fine, I'll leave the topic alone for now. Clearly, you won't tell me a thing anyways... Where are we going Law?" From the moment we left the house his hand was pulling mine but I really didn't think the male was going to one set location. "You're a good person (Y/n)-ya"

"Hm, what do you mean?" I wasn't arguing with him but the sudden compliment seemed weird to me. "You have this way of bringing people together and I think someone close to me could use your help... Isn't that why you're starting a club?... To help others?" I did want to start that club though now I was beginning to second guess myself. Sure, I was in pain however I could see others were suffering way worse than I was. "Yeah, but I don't understand where we're going" All I wanted to know was a destination, Law however was being a stubborn brat. "Don't worry about it (Y/n)-ya we're almost there"

"You're weird and stubborn Law" Those weren't necessarily good qualities though somehow, they fit into Law's overall personality surprisingly well. "If that's the case then why are you hanging around with me?" Hmm, now that was a difficult question to find an answer to. "No clue but maybe you're a good person too" Law hadn't given me any reason to question whether or not he was a good guy although the way he looked back made me reach my eyebrows. "You haven't seen my bad side yet"

"Are you sure about that?" Even if Law had a 'bad' side I'm sure it wasn't any worse than Kidd's temper. Heck, I still needed to talk with that male about the events in the noodle shop. "Have you?" Oh, right I had teased him a bit. It took me a moment to collect my thoughts but after a few seconds, I found the perfect reply for him. "We all have bad days Law. One bad day doesn't make you a monster... Can we find a place to hide out? I think it's going to rain"

"Such a strange girl... Come on we're almost to his house" His hand slightly pulled mine and I continued to follow but from that one word I came to the conclusion Law did in fact have an end goal for this little walk. "His?" From what I had gathered his friend group was small though maybe one of them lived nearby and he just didn't mention it earlier.

"Yes, his"

Corazon's Pov

"Where should I drop you off?" I would have rather taken a cab home but Vergo basically forced me into the car before I could call one. Speaking of him why in the hell was he trying to talk to me? "It doesn't matter" My house was my original destination but right now I wasn't sure if I wanted to head there or not. "How is Me-" He knew better than to ask about her though he's been pushing the limits all day. "Keep her name out of your mouth"

"Is she any better?" I needed to keep my temper in check but with each word Vergo was just pissing me off more and more. "What did I just say!? And no, she's not any better!" How could she be better after what had happened? Even if that accident had occurred years ago, she just never went back to how she was. "Sorry"

"I don't need to hear that from you... Just drop me off here" My house was still a few miles away but I just needed the time alone to collect myself before returning to her. She probably wouldn't notice my current state although thankfully my drunkenness had worn off some time ago. I would return to the house later than I still needed to attend Law's parent-teacher night. Fuck I almost forgot about that. Too bad Doflamingo couldn't go for me, he'd probably end up threatening half the staff anyways if he did go.

"Are y-" I wasn't in the mood to yell at the male anymore but my voice did go a tone deeper so he'd understand this conversation was over. "Yes" The car was pulled over to the side of the road and I was collecting what little I had with me however when he started to bring up my brother my eyes narrowed. "Alright... Doffy is worrie-" If Doflamingo was so worried about my wellbeing then he should have asked me himself instead of sending his rat to do it.

"That man shouldn't worry about anyone besides himself. Good fucking night"

Doflamingo's Pov

One more hit for the day couldn't hurt. I knew my limits and even if I went over it didn't matter. Someone was always checking in on me regardless of the time of night, it was a sweet gesture but completely idiotic. I was a grown man who could take care of himself just fine. "Young Master?" Hmm, they were early for the hourly check-in. As I turned my head back, I saw one of the maids but she was holding some sort of bag. "What do you want?"

"Y-Your partner had this d-dinner delivered for you. Would you like any?" Looking towards the clock I noticed it was only around lunchtime but Crocodile had a habit of sending dinner well before then so I would have something to snack on if I had an appetite. Most of the time it would be left untouched though I was glad sh- he, I was glad he still thought of me. "It's from Croco-chan?" She had just said that but I wanted to make sure. "Yes"

"Hm, what is it?" There were a lot of foods I couldn't stomach anymore but Crocodile usually ordered my favorite or if he didn't my partner would still force me to eat it. Thankfully he wasn't home at the moment so even if I hated it, I could easily throw it out. "Thai" I could eat some of that, not much but still enough to satisfy Croco-chan should he ask about it. "Leave it on the table" The maid did as she was told though for whatever reason her body was still shaking, it's not like I was going to murder her so I didn't understand why there was such fear. "Yes, Young Master. Enjoy and if you n-"

"Save it. I'm well aware of what you're willing to do" She looked a little off guard but the help had been irritating me all week and something needed to be done about it. "Understood" With that girl gone I could return to what I had been planning to do before I was rudely interrupted. "Young Master? Sorry to interrupt but your brother's wife is outside" Hm, now that was odd. She hated this house and only stayed here with my brother since he begged her to. It was such a shame what happened to them. "Why would she be here? Is Corazon with her?"

"No, she is alone but unfortunately we're unable to figure out why she's here" That night affected her a lot though I understood why. If I knew the person responsible, I would have killed them with my bare hands, maybe now I could finally do that. "Send her in. Hell, get her a cup of tea she's family after all" I was still trying to load the needle with my drug of choice but did turn towards the door in time to notice her. "Very well Young Master. Oh, my apologies Melody I didn't see you standing there. Would you like any tea?"

Those bloodshot eyes were on display but I don't think she realized the tears were dripping down her cheeks. Ever since that night, she's never smiled not even once though the reasoning behind it made sense. "So, what brings my little sister-in-law here? Did you perhaps want something to help erase the world? Fufufu. I got plenty of options" If Corazon found out I was offering her drugs again he'd have my head but what he didn't know wasn't going to kill him.

'Is it true?'

As I read over those words, I thought of Corazon but in the end, I knew it wasn't my place to cause her to have a breakdown. She lost so much that night and to tell her the person responsible was close wasn't something I could do. My family was all I had even if at times I couldn't stand to be around them. I was going to protect them no matter what and this time was no exception. "Is what true?" She began writing down her response but I was too busy pushing down the stopper of the needle to get my fix to realize the girl was finished.

When my eyes opened, I stared at the paper but was having trouble focusing on what it had said, the words were starting to move. "Sorry, Mel, you caught me on a bad day. Fufufu. Ask me tomorrow when life doesn't suck as much. Feel free to stay in your old room I made sure the family left it alone" It was a shame she couldn't speak since it would have been a lot easier to communicate with her but there was little, I could do about that."Ahhh! Melody what are you doing here!? I missed you so much!"

That girl really needed to stop screaming but as I looked at Melody, I saw she was trying to dry her tears. Her eyes were still bloodshot though her notebook was soon shown to Baby who immediately started to speak. "No, I'm not doing well. Mister Jerk over there banned my boyfriends from visiting the house. How are you? Where is Corazon, he was here this morning? Law was here too and he even brought his girlfriend over. She's adorable, not sure how such a weirdo got someone like her"

Even though Melody never smiled her eyes shown the girl's emotions quite well and without even reading the paper I knew she was asking about Law. That was her son after all, or at least that's how she always referred to him. "Yes, that Law. I was surprised too but there's such a cute couple. Come on I want to show you my school project. Goodnight Young Master!" Baby could easily keep Melody occupied for the night and as long as she didn't mention that teacher everything would work out fine. "Geez tone it down Baby and goodnight don't destroy the house"

"Fine. Let's go, Melody"

Law's Pov

'Knock' 'Knock' 'Knock'

Thankfully our destination wasn't far and we just made it to the steps as the downpour started. Now if the brat would answer the door, I could cross my one good deed off the list for the rest of the year. "Whose house is this Law?" (Y/n) was left in the dark about the owner of the house but I was a little surprised she hadn't figured it out yet. "A good friend of mine lives here" She would meet him soon enough so informing her on the identity wasn't a top priority. "I understand that much but who would that be?" I could have been nice and gave her an answer though I was being annoyed with the fact the brat wasn't opening the door.

"Hold that thought (Y/n)-ya" A normal person might have just left however I had already come this far and I refused to leave without first seeing the brat. Usually, Eustass was the one to handle picking locks but I had some experience with them so got down near the knob as (Y/n) acted as my lookout. "What are you doing Law!? You can't break into people's houses!" She might not have yelled but it still was a panicked tone that briefly caused me to look over my shoulder at her. "Relax (Y/n)-ya"

"You're going to get us both arrested" That could happen but did she really think her father would allow her to spend the night in jail? Maybe though for that to even be a possibility the owner of the house would need to show his face and press charges. "It's for the greater good (Y/n)-ya" I was tired of dealing with Eustass alone so our third member needed to return so someone could stand in the middle of our fights.

"It's called breaking the law, Law. Gosh, why do you have such a weird name?" Hm, that was meant almost like an insult but I would have thought she'd come up with some rude comments sooner. Not that what she said came across as rude, I actually found it slightly cute since she immediately turned away. "And is (Y/n) any better (Y/n)-ya?" Teasing her back was something I could do all day though right now I needed to open this door. "Well played... So, is this like one of your hobbies or something?"

'Click'

"You could say that. Shall we (Y/n)-ya?" She could stay outside if that made her feel more comfortable but based on that small grin, I knew we were on the same page. "If we get in trouble for this, I'm throwing you under the bus Law" With that her hand slipped into mine though I found myself looking away as we walked through the now opened door. "Don't worry (Y/n)-ya everything will be fine" There wasn't much to worry about unless of course, his grandfather decided to come home early. "Alright let's find this mystery boy"

I didn't even make it one step through the doorway before something cold pressed against my neck. "Trafalgar Law what in the hell are you doing here?" I knew the owner of that voice and once they addressed me the blade was removed but I found it odd he'd be here. "How long have you been here Yamato-ya?" If he had indeed been inside the house then why couldn't the male walk the two steps to unlock the door? "Long enough"

"Then why didn't you open the door?" It would have made things a lot easier but Yamato has always been a difficult person to deal with. "This isn't my house" I did see why that made some sense though it was still irritating. "Where's Luffy-ya?" Dealing with Yamato wasn't something I was prepared to do today so the sooner Luffy dragged himself downstairs the better. "He was sleeping the last time I checked. Why do you need something from him and who's your little friend?"

I had almost forgotten about her but based on the pressure coming from my left hand the girl was in a slight panic and I didn't blame her since at the moment she was staring at someone holding a blade within their hand. "This is (Y/n)-ya. She's going to help" My thumb did start running along her wrist although Yamato's eyes seemed to lock on them before the blade was placed back into his pocket. "How so?"

"She's a good person. Even Eustass-ya has taken a liking to her" I knew Yamato wasn't the biggest fan of Eustass but it made sense to mention him since not a lot of people could befriend the male. "Hm, so what she's like a...?" (Y/n) was many things but for this one situation, I was sure there was a role she played quite well. "I guess you could call her a problem solver. She's starting a club to help others with their problems" At that Yamato's eyes lit up but his response wasn't the greatest. "Really? Can she kill my old man for me?"

"What!?" If (Y/n) knew how Yamato's relationship was with his father then this response wouldn't have been surprising but in time maybe the two would understand each other. "Relax (Y/n)-ya he's not serious" Yamato needed to learn to keep his damn mouth shut before it got him into trouble. "Oh, don't lie to her Law... Wait here I'll go wake up Luffy" Even though I knew Luffy and Yamato were friends I was confused as to why he was here, I thought Zoro was keeping an eye on Luffy. "Why are you even here Yamato-ya?"

"Protecting a friend... He's not well Law and I feel useless to him. Why can't I help him? He gives so much but when it comes to himself, he just... I'll be right back please make yourself at home!" We knew how Luffy was when it came to others though it was time, we all paid him back. "Law?" Looking down at (Y/n) I was prepared to hear her say that she wanted to leave however that wasn't what came from her mouth. "Yes, what is it (Y/n)-ya?"

"I just want some clarification about Yamato... You said he but Yamato looks female to me" Alright so the girl wasn't blind when it came to point that out and to save her the confusion, I would try to explain it the best I could. "Yeah, that confuses a lot of people. He is referred to as Kaido's son so I just go with that" Maybe that would change in time but for now Yamato would be deemed that until he stated otherwise. "Oh, okay. I didn't want to say the wrong thing"

"What are you doing here Law?" I hadn't seen him in months but that tone just wasn't like Luffy. Even as I turned to him, I almost wanted to look away, he used to always have a grin on his face however not seeing it was concerning.

"Hello, Luffy-ya it's been a while. I want you to meet someone special. This is (Y/n)-ya"

Vergo's Pov

I'd rather not have to deal with the Young Master's little brother but since I was loyal to him, I needed to follow his orders. "Understood Doffy I'll ensure the girl remains protected. Should I send any finds to you directly?" It wasn't a surprise that he had denied the offer but it also caused me to become worried. "No, have them sent to Gladius" His drug use was spiraling lately though no family member would dare go against him even if the Young Master was proving to be a danger to himself. "Doffy, I heard about what occurred this morning. How are you holding up?"

"We're not going to discuss that Vergo. Keep the girl safe... Law cares about her and I want to see my little brother happy" Law wasn't a man I cared much for but over the years the Young Master had placed him on the same level as Corazon so no one in the family could bring harm to him. With Law's attitude problem I questioned if he'd bring the man to the point of killing him however that never happened. "He cares about you too Doffy. Even if he doesn't show it"

That could have been a lie but Law must have cared for him in some capacity since whenever the Young Master was in trouble the male stepped up. "Whatever I have more important business to handle. Goodbye Vergo" I knew he was done talking for the day when his tone changed like that. "Goodbye Doffy" The call ended before I even finished speaking though that was fine. "I'm not sure how you manage to sleep at night Vergo"

"Why if it isn't the traitor. What are you doing here Corazon?" I knew I'd be seeing him at some point but I really didn't expect to see him until tomorrow morning. "We're partnered together on the (Y/n) case. I expect you to do your job for once in your fucked up life" Corazon was definitely the Young Master's brother however one day his devil's luck was going to ran out. "You're lucky that Doffy forgave you so easily but the moment he changes his mind you're mine. What have you collected so far?"

"Not much although it would appear he's had dealings with Mihawk in the past. Do you know where that man currently is?" The Young Master only had a small friend group but everyone in town knew of his trio that was formed in high school. "It's poker night I suspect both him and Red Hair will be in attendance" Mihawk didn't invite many events but the weekly poker game always drew him in. "Tonight? You'll have to attend alone since it's parent-teacher night but the bastard should be there tonight so I'll keep an eye on him. Does that sound alright to you?"

"That works out perfectly I'd rather not be stuck with a clumsy fool like yourself anyways" My words could be described as hurtful but I didn't care what Corazon felt. In my eyes, he was nothing more than a traitor and if not for his bloodline I would have killed him years ago. "We'll touch face tomorrow. Have a good night Vergo" It was still early in the day and if he worked the same shift as me, he shouldn't have been off until six. "Where are you going?"

"I'm taking the rest of the day off... there's something I need to look into" I wasn't a fool and knew why this case was putting him in a bad mood. The Young Master knew that much as well but I was ordered to leave him be unless his life was put in immediate danger. "Rosinante this case is personal to you. Don't push yourself and don't think too much about the past. Nothing can change what happened"

"Go to hell Vergo"

(Y/n)'s Pov

My father should be at work until at least six but knowing him I would most likely only see him tonight at parent-teacher. Although now that I thought about it, I really didn't want my parent to walk in on me and Law trying to enjoy a movie. Speaking of the male I needed to know what he wanted on this popcorn so I started back towards the living room. "Do you like butter on your popcorn Law?" He had his back to me but turned slightly to give me a reply. "Sure, but don't add a lot... Who is this woman (Y/n)?"

I hadn't noticed the picture frame held within his hands before but without a second thought, I started to speak. "That's my mother" It should have been put away though my father kept it there for a reason. I couldn't stomach to look at it on most days so I just avoided that shelf at all costs. "You look just like her. Is she at work as well?" Hearing that was causing my emotions to stir but I couldn't risk having another break down in front of him. "No, she passed away. Do you want anything to drink?"

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know" He must have known not to push the topic further but I sent him a fake smile and asked about his drink choice once more. "It's fine. What do you want to drink? I got juice, pop, tea, coffee, liquor" The last one was a joke but it seemed to make Law show a small grin. "Coffee is fine" I personally didn't mind a cup of coffee once in a while though since it put me on edge, I tended to limit myself to one cup a day. "How do you take it?"

"I don't add anything" For someone so young I didn't expect to hear that. Hell, my father didn't even drink his coffee with at least two sugars and some cream. "Yuck, that'd be way too bitter for me. I'll be right back. You can make yourself comfortable on the couch if you want" He did as I said and since I didn't want to make him wait, I rushed back into the kitchen to make his coffee. "Oh, good the popcorn's done" I only had the microwavable kind but it would work fine, maybe next time I'd go the extra mile and make it in a pot.

'Ding-Dong'

"Who could that be?" The coffee pot was already on so I turned away to go answer the door. I didn't recall ordering anything online and usually, the neighbors never came around. The front door wasn't too far from the kitchen so I reached it quite quickly but I almost hesitated to open the door. However, I shook off any bad vibes and opened it, though no one was standing there. "Hm, how strang- A package?" I didn't see any delivery trucks but upon further investigation, I realized this box had no tracking info on it. "What's wrong (Y/n)-ya?"

"This box" I would gladly leave it out here until my father came home from work although he might get mad at me for not bringing it in. "What's wrong with it?" Could Law really not see the problem with this mysterious box? "There's no tracking info. Someone had to have left it here then ran away before I answered the door" That alone was suspicious behavior since why didn't they just hand me the stupid thing? "Hm, I'll bring it in and open it for you"

"I think we should just leave it and hope someone steals it" That was a horrible thing to say but I highly doubted there was anything in that box that I wanted. "Non-sense (Y/n)-ya. Go get me the scissors" He didn't sound like he was going to let me leave it outside though I thought giving him a little threat was necessary before I started for the kitchen. "Fine but if we die, I'm going to haunt you forever in the afterlife"

"It's quite heavy for something this size" Hmm, maybe someone had gifted me a dumbbell or Law was just weak. I was leaning more towards the first choice though. "Where did I even put the scissors?"

Law's Pov

With (Y/n) gone to find the scissors I took the time to place the box on the table before stepping back to stare at it. The box itself wasn't overly large but my curiosity might have gotten the better of me since my hands were already reaching for the tape that kept it closed. It wasn't hard to remove though as I took one last look towards the kitchen, I opened the flaps to see just what (Y/n) had received.

"What the hell?" I wasn't sure if I was seeing things or not but as I looked closer, I realized this definitely was real. "Law I can't find the sc- Oh, you already opened it. What's inside?" She was standing near the kitchen entryway but before the girl could see anything I closed the flaps of the box. "It's best if I don't tell you (Y/n)-ya" Cora-san could take care of this however as (Y/n) started walking forward I took a step back. "What do you mean?"

"I need to call it in. Wait here (Y/n)-ya and try to stay calm" Probably shouldn't have put it that way but for now, the girl was going to remain in the dark about the contents of this box. "What's in the box Law?" I'm sure she was curious though to protect her innocents I wasn't going to tell her anything. "Nothing good"

'Click'

The moment I heard the sound of the front door unlocking I turned my head but as an older man walked in, I almost wanted to jump out of the nearest window. "(Y/n) why are yo- Why is that criminal in my house?" Oh great, I didn't expect to have to deal with her father today although with him here this box could be sent ahead to the station. "He's my friend and why are you here?" The way her eyes glared at the man was quite cute but before a fight could start between the two, I shoved the package into his hands. "Here you can take this"

"A box?" I couldn't give him many details with (Y/n) standing right there but I'm sure the moment he opened it he'd understand. "Don't let her see what's inside. Someone left it on the doorstep. (Y/n)-ya would you like to take a walk around the neighborhood?" Again, she took a step forward though as her eyes were locked on mine, I heard the flaps of the box open before they were quickly closed. "B-But I want to know what's in the box"

"Go (Y/n)... Have her back within the hour"

30 Minutes Later...

Corazon's Pov

I haven't been expecting a call from the boss but I was still required to do my job. "Are you drunk, Corazon?" That wasn't any of his business and even if I was it didn't matter. "I'm not d-discussing it Vergo. Just shut up and open the evidence bag" The boss thankfully was outside of the house but if Vergo kept talking more than words were going to be exchanged. "You shouldn't be here" I didn't handle liquor that well though this task would only take a couple more minutes, after which I'd be returning home. "What did I just say?"

"Keep it up Corazon and you'll be finding yourself without a job" I'm not sure why Sakazuki even partnered us together but before the end of this case I could guarantee this man was going to find them getting punched in the face. "Keep it up Vergo and you'll be finding yourself dead" Drinking really caused my personality to shift for the worse though thankfully I had said that threat to someone who couldn't do anything about it. "You're becoming more like Doffy as the days past"

"Don't you dare compare me to him" I remained in place but the frown was clearly written on my face and thanks to my terrible luck Sakazuki had decided to walk back into the house in time to see it. "What are you two morons doing? I told you to collect the evidence and leave" He was right this should have been an easy task. "Sorry, Sakazuki. It wouldn't take much longer. Did you get the witness statements from (Y/n) and Law?"

"No one is to bother my daughter about this. As for Trafalgar Law, you can deal with getting a statement from him. That is if we're going to believe a single word that comes from his mouth. For all I know he's the only one who sent that package here in the first place" I knew better than to say anything in response to that so I kept my mouth shut while I secretly glared at the male behind my shaded eyes. "And Corazon the next time you show up to a crime scene drunk it'll cost you this job. Pull yourself together or step away from this case"

"Y-Yes, Sir"

Law's Pov

If I had known (Y/n) would have gotten hurt while being in this house, I would have left her at home. She was a delicate one after all who needed protection. "Roll up your sleeve for me (Y/n)-ya and I'll check on the damage" I would most likely need to change the bandages since Baby 5 had traces of blood on her fingers but even as (Y/n) stared up at me from the bathroom sink she looked frightened. "Do you think she knows?" The girl in the other room wasn't a complete moron although I was sure Doflamingo convinced her everything was fine. "Doubtful. Careful (Y/n)-ya here allow me to help you"

The sweater was already loose on her but due to the dried blood, there was some resistance in rolling it back. "Thanks, Law you're the best" For whatever reason, that small compliment had caused me to smile although as I realized I only had a roll of bandages I stepped away from her. "I'm going to need a pair of scissors and some rubbing alcohol. Just wait here for a minute (Y/n)-ya. Feel free to lock the door while I'm gone" I didn't wait for a response as my hand reached for the doorknob however just as I started to turn it, she gave me very clear orders. "Okay but when you come back, you'll need to knock three times then pause before knocking twice more"

"I'll try and remember that. Don't fall off the sink while I'm gone" She was sitting comfortably but I knew the drop was pretty far due to the height being adjusted to accommodate the taller males in the house. "Why would I fall off the sink? I'm not that stupid Law" She was making a fair point although accidents could happen to anyone. "It's just a thought. The doors locked (Y/n)-ya so don't bother getting up" Once she gave me a small nod, I exited the bathroom and closed the door behind me. "Law I need something from you"

"Hm, what do you need Cora-san? I'm in the middle of something" (Y/n) was expecting me to return quickly but from the look in Cora-san's eyes, I knew he wasn't going to take no for an answer. "It'll only take a second but I need your advice on what to get Grace for our five-year mark" That girl hadn't been around for a while and I had figured they had broken up but I was glad to hear they were still together, she always made Cora-san happy. "Has it really been five years?"

"Yeah, I'm surprised she's stuck with me for this long. Any ideas?" I wasn't the most romantic of men and only had a few girlfriends but if they really had been together for this long, I didn't see why they didn't make it official. "Why not finally tie the knot?" Cora-san was always one to overreact to simple things and I tried my best not to grin as his mouth dropped open. "I- Wha- Don't be silly Law that would scare her away" Five years was half a decade and simply asking the answer wouldn't break a relationship this strong. "She's been with you this long I highly doubt she'd leave now. However, if wedding plans aren't for you then I suggest a pet"

"A pet? What kind of pet?" I didn't know that much about Grace but I'm sure if Cora-san thought enough about it then he'd figure out what his girlfriend liked. "You know her better than anyone Cora-san, think about it a bit. What pet does Grace talk about nonstop?" I allowed him time to think but still moved closer to the living room in order to grab the required medical supplies for (Y/n). "... Ah! She loves cats... but our apartment is pet-free"

"Maybe it's time you did some house shopping then" As I entered the living room, I noticed Doflamingo had left but didn't think much of it as I took a few items from the bag I brought. "Law I'm a cop, not a rich man. Have you seen the cost of houses?" The housing cost had been going up but I knew how much he paid for his apartment and a mortgage would be cheaper in the long run if he was approved. Although maybe his brother could part with one of his properties. "Ask Doflamingo-ya for one of his. I'm sure he can part with one of them"

"Doflamingo will do no such thing. I like all my houses and the clumsy Corazon will only burn it down within a week. Although if there's a wedding in the works maybe I'll be nice with my present. Fufufu" I couldn't lie that Cora-san could very well burn down an entire house without meaning to but right now Doflamingo was being a little selfish.

"Thanks for the suggestions Law but I should get going. Oh, and tell (Y/n) that she's expected to meet her father at the school for the parent-teacher night. I'll be there for you since apparently; it's required even for someone your age. Doffy, are you going as well? I don't suggest it but you're an adult who can make his own decisions" He was the guardian of three of the family members although Jora could always go instead of him since she had to go for her own son. "What time is it at?"

"Six to nine. You'll need to see Sugar, Buffalo, and Baby 5's teachers but I suspect you can leave after you see them all" Parent-teacher nights were never that interesting although it gave Cora-san such joy to attend. "Hm, might be fun. Fufufu" With Doflamingo there anything could happen but as I thought back to the events of last night, I turned to face the pair. "Cora-san there's something I need to discuss with you. It's concerning and I'm not sure what it means"

"What is it Law?" Since Cora-san was an officer of the law he could find out more than I could but it was still a risk to tell him about my criminal activities. "It involves (Y/n)-ya and one of her teachers. Can we talk in private?" His eyes showed confusion although it was probably due to how I had worded that sentence. "Sure, Doffy would you mind leaving?" That was for the best but in typical Doflamingo fashion, he started to complain. "Oh, sure kick the homeowner out of his own living room"

"Act like an adult Doffy" Without must more of a fight he did leave and the moment the door closed Cora-san's face turned serious. "I'm all ears Law. What's going on with (Y/n)?" There was no avoiding my criminal activities however I did try to leave out as many details as I could, mainly omitting Eustass' involvement. "Well, I had stumbled across something disturbing in one of her teacher's homes just last night" Cora-san was thinking over my statement but the moment his eyes narrowed I knew he was going to chew me out for breaking into someone's house. "Hold on just a second Law. Did you just imply you broke into someone's house?"

"That's beside the point Cora-san. Look at this picture and tell me what you think" I showed him the pictures from last night but as his fingers pinched the bridge of his nose, I knew this was putting the man into an uncomfortable position. "Law what am I going to do with you? You can't just go breaking into people's homes. What were you even trying to accomplish?" Now Cora-san always said honesty was the best policy although as I replied maybe I shouldn't have told him the truth. The original plan was to beat the teacher up but he wasn't home"

"Don't tell me that!" Ignoring Cora-san's outburst I continued to speak. "Can you find out more about this teacher? I had Penguin look into it but there wasn't much besides his daughter was locked up because Sakazuki" As Cora-san's hand moved away from his face he began to reply however it wasn't something I was thrilled to hear. "You do know I'm going to have to inform the Chief about this Law? He might not show it but his daughter means the world to him. Can you send me those photos and give me a name?"

I knew he would make things right though I'm not sure how (Y/n) would react when all this came to the light. Hell, I hadn't even told her about the photos I found last night. "I'll do you one better and point him out later tonight" She was his student so there was no doubt her father would meet the man but if I had anything to say about it those two wouldn't be having any interactions. "I'd still like the name so I can conduct some research before then"

"Sure"

(Y/n)'s Pov

'Knock' Knock' 'Knock' ... 'Knock' 'Knock'

Once I had heard the knocking, I slipped off the sink and unlocked the door since I knew it had to be Law. "Sorry I took so long (Y/n)-ya" He had to help me back onto the countertop but I was fine with that. "That's alright. I overheard you and Corazon talking about the parent-teacher night" That had completely slipped my mind but then again my father already knew my grades were terrible. "Yeah, if you want, I can drop you off at your house after this" That would be nice since I did need to change and try to think of a lie about why I was gone last night. "I still need my phone from your house plus my other stuff"

"Sure, we'll stop there first then I'll take you home" My father was most likely still at work but maybe I could invite someone to spend the day with me so I wasn't alone. Baby 5 came to my mind although I'm not sure if she had plans or not. Law, unfortunately, couldn't stay since my father would have a screaming match with him. Speaking of the man I had noticed his teeth were grinding together. "Is something wrong Law you seem upset?"

"I'm alright (Y/n)-ya there's just something I need to take care of sooner than later and it's been distracting me" He was graduating this year so maybe it involved some forms that needed to be completed or something of that nature. "Oh, really?" Law was busy rebandaging my wrist, he only needed to do the left. "Don't worry though since it's being handled" I wasn't worried about it but as he continued to work, I started to bite my lip. "Well, that's good then... Law are you going to be busy next Friday?"

Now I normally didn't put myself out there but I was just trying to take the advice of a friend. "I usually work every second Friday so that would be my day off if I'm not mistaken. Why do you ask (Y/n)-ya?" I had just met Law but I really liked his company. "There's this spirit dance and I thought i-it would be nice t-to go together. You know as friends" I had never attended a dance before but I'm sure Law had been to at least one. "A school dance? That does sound nice. I'd love to go with you (Y/n)-ya. There you're all patched up. You can have this sweater and I'll take yours if you want"

"Why?" Law had already taken off his sweater but since he wasn't wearing anything underneath it, I had looked away. "There's just some dried blood on yours so I want you in something clean" It had made perfect sense although since the sweaters weren't the same, I hesitated. "But Law we're not wearing the same sweater. Won't people notice?" I didn't want anyone to think something weird happened in this bathroom and switching sweaters would only cause them to talk. "It's fine (Y/n)-ya"

Later That Day...

Law's Pov

"I'll see you later tonight (Y/n)-ya. Do you want me to walk you to the door?" Our day had gone well but I was a little disappointed we had to part. Normally I wasn't a people person however with (Y/n) things were better. "Law... did you want to stay? I know my father wouldn't approve but I don't care" Hm, I didn't need to be anywhere until later tonight. "Sure, I'd love to (Y/n)-ya" Turning off the car I climbed out but something burning at the back of my skull caused me to look around the area.

"What's the matter, Law?" I couldn't see anyone looking in my direction though that feeling of being watched was definitely there. "It's nothing (Y/n)-ya. Let's go inside" It was probably just a concerned neighbor but as I joined (Y/n)'s side I completely forgot about it as she fished around her bag looking for the key. "So, what's the plan for the afternoon (Y/n)-ya?" By the time the key was in the lock I heard it click before she tilted her head back to stare at me. "Movie marathon with lots of snacks. Unless you're opposed to the idea?"

"Alright, and when is your father supposed to be home?" I didn't know what the man's reaction would be to me being in his house but if (Y/n) wasn't worried then I shouldn't be either. "No clue. Come on before the neighbors get nosy" She had stepped over the threshold and I followed after kicking off my shoes once I settled onto the carpet. "I'm pretty sure one already noticed us" At that she looked up from untying her shoes but there was some concern on her face about what I had said. "Which one was it?" I haven't seen exactly who it was but I had my suspicions. "I think it's the one across the street"

"The bastard? Hm, hurry up Law before he decides to pick another fight with me" Stepping aside I allowed her to close the door and lock it however she had peeked through the blinds for a second before quickly moving back. "Another? I didn't take you for the type (Y/n)-ya" She was a quiet girl and I couldn't imagine her starting any kind of fight. "Hm? Oh, I didn't start a fight on purpose and it was really only him trying to slap me"

"What did you do to provoke him?" The reasoning wouldn't have mattered since even if (Y/n) had pissed him off an adult had no business targeting children. "He's an abusive person and I stood up to him. Which movie do you want to watch Law? I'll let you pick first since you're the guest" She had changed the topic so as I looked over at the DVD shelf, I picked out the first one I saw. "Oh, that's one of my favorites. I'll make us some popcorn and you can start it up"

"Alright just don't take too long (Y/n)-ya I might start without you~"

"Four minutes tops!"

'Knock' 'Knock'

I really didn't want to tell this man anything about what Law had told me but it was his daughter and he deserved to know that she was in danger. He was sitting with two other officers although as his eyes narrowed, I must have interrupted something. "Chief Sakazuki do you have a minute?" Talking to the chief was never easy but hopefully, he would take the time to discuss his only child. "We're in the middle of a meeting"

"It's about your daughter" She wasn't brought up often and I only discovered who she was this morning but when his eyes widened, I knew he cared. "What did (Y/n) do this time?" I had gathered everything I could about the man targeting her and as I handed over the folder I replied. "We got a tip this morning and I followed up but take a look for yourself" There wasn't much in that folder but that was the problem. It was as if he didn't exist until two years and the records, we did have on him seemed off. "What the hell is this, Corazon?"

"He was dormant for the last two years Sakazuki. If my suspicions are correct then we need to act quickly" I didn't even need to bring up that case file for him to know who I was referring to but as he stood up, I could only assume where he was going. "Where is (Y/n)?" I felt slightly sorry for the pair although I didn't hesitate to inform him of what his daughter was doing in her spare time. "She went home with Trafalgar Law" The pair were still together based on where Law's GPS was however, I just hoped he remained with her. "Why is that criminal with my daughter?"

"It's better someone is there to protect her Sakazuki. As you can see this man is one of her teachers so he'll be there tonight. Do we have a plan?" It was foolish to think a plan could be put in place so quickly but I wasn't going to allow another cold case to be added to my pile when I knew exactly who needed to be dealt with. "This isn't enough evidence to make an arrest. Follow up with this Corazon and let me know when you find what's necessary. I'll assign Vergo to work with you. Make sure you put an end to this quickly" I hated working with him though at least he could bend a few rules while I kept my hands cleans.

(Y/n)'s Pov

"I didn't expect to see you so soon annoying brat. Welcome please take a seat. Can I offer you anything to eat?" Doflamingo's voice had caused me to look away from his drug-filled coffee table but before I could respond Law had spoken. "Roll your sleeves up Doflamingo-ya I need to check on your track marks and see how there healing. Have you been putting on the cream I gave you?" With him distracted I looked back at the coffee table although I didn't even know what half of these drugs were. All I knew for sure was none of them were legal. "Nope~ I don't see why you're even here Law"

"Shut up and roll up your sleeves" Law was adorable when giving out doctor orders. "Doflamingo-ya you're acting like a child" I knew I should sit down and stop staring at the coffee table but the other couch was covered with stuff so I was forced to sit beside Doflamingo. "No, thanks. You both have sleeves so it's unfair for me to roll mine up but maybe I'll reconsider if I do thi- Sorry" I hadn't been prepared for the man to pull up my sleeves however he quickly returned it into place when he saw the bandages. Doflamingo couldn't have known what was under my sleeves although it still caused my eyes to water as I turned away to face the wall.

"I'm sorry (Y/n) I didn't know" He was trying to touch my shoulder but something, or rather someone had pulled him away. "Don't speak to her Doflamingo-ya. Now roll up your sleeves so I can go home" I could hear the sound of fabric although didn't turn back to confirm if it was his sleeves being rolled up or not. "Fine but you're not allowed to leave until we have breakfast together" That didn't make me feel very comfortable and I'm sure Law would have declined if not for the door opening. "Hey, Doffy was my package delivered y- Am I interrupting something?"

"What are you doing here Cora-san? I thought you moved out months ago" My head had turned but thankfully Corazon was even looking in my direction. "I did but it's easier to have my packages sent here" Maybe I was overreacting to what Doflamingo had done however as I dried my tears, I locked eyes with Law. He looked concerned but I just sent him a small smile to convince him that everything was fine. "Why don't you ask the help?" By this point, Corazon had made eye contact with mine though it didn't last long as he asked Law something. "Are you staying for breakfast Law? I'd rather not be left alone with Doffy he might try to stab me with a fork again. Oh, you brought (Y/n) with you?"

Didn't he just look at me? "I did but it turned out to be a mistake. Why don't you teach him some matters since clearly, he lacks them?" Something about this situation made me think a fight was bound to break out within the next couple of minutes. "I already said I was sorry. What more do you want from me?" Doflamingo was growing annoyed that much was clear just from the tone used but apparently Law didn't appreciate it based on the glare he was sending. "What did you do this time Doffy?"

"Nothing" For someone as old as Doflamingo I personally thought he acting childish but didn't speak up as Law called him out on the lie. "He hurt (Y/n)-ya. Would you mind taking her somewhere else Cora-san?" Maybe it was for the best if I leave the boys alone although I didn't know Corazon that well. "I guess so. Did you want to head to the dining room (Y/n)? They should be putting out the food by now"

'Ding'

"Hold on (Y/n) that's my phone... Hm? (Y/n) is your father Chief Sakazuki?" I thought about that for a few seconds although slowly started to nod my head as I replied. "Technically" Corazon shouldn't have known my father and as far as I was aware he had no friends. "He's looking for you" I didn't even think my father would notice my absence let alone ask someone about me. "How do you know that?"

"I work at the station with him" Hmm, now that didn't make much sense but maybe he sorted files or something. "You're a cop?" There was a moment of silence as Corazon's eyes scanned his phone but soon enough, he gave me his full attention. "Head of the Cold Case Division" If he really was a cop then why was Doflamingo receiving a pass for his drug use? "Then shouldn't you be arresting your brother for breaking the law?"

"Yeah, (Y/n)-ya that does sound like a good plan" Law might have agreed with my statement but as someone moved beside me, I heard a small complaint from the man we were discussing. "No, it doesn't!" Doflamingo didn't say much after that and yet just looking over at him I could see he was staring daggers at me. "I tend to ignore what my brother does plus pissing him off is never a good idea. However, if these drugs aren't put away within the next hour, I might need to call a friend to make a surprise visit"

Surprisingly Doflamingo didn't say much about that little threat but he did start moving his drugs into a few wooden boxes that sat on the table. "Corazon, did my father put out a missing person posting or something?" I wouldn't put it past him to do such a thing although I haven't even been gone a day so there was no need to worry. "Hm, no he just asked if anyone had seen you since you're not answering his calls"

"Oh, I don't have my phone. It's at Law's apartment charging" Since I was going back there anyway, I thought it was best to leave it there and have it all charged up. Although maybe I should have texted my father and told him I was sleeping at a friend's house. "If that's the case I'll inform him on that then" I was fine with that but as I looked over at Law, I realized leaving out his name was something that needed to happen. "Just don't tell him about Law he'll ground me for hanging out with a criminal"

"Thanks (Y/n)-ya I'll take that as a compliment" I didn't mean to call him that but I'm sure that was how my father described everyone who was a bad influence. "You two are such a cute couple. Alright, I'll let him know" Corazon had started to type out a reply however Law apparently needed to set the record straight about our relationship. "For the last time, she's not my girlfriend Cora-san" Law was overreacting since as far as I was concerned this was teasing from his older brother. "We'll see just how long that remains true Law. Are you coming (Y/n)? I'm starving"

"Ye-" A hand had pulled me back onto the couch but surprisingly it was only Doflamingo. "Don't leave me alone with him" Taking a look over at Law I could see he was slipping on a pair of gloves though his eyes narrowed when he saw Doflamingo was holding onto my wrist. "Let go of (Y/n)-ya before you lose that hand" He wasn't gripping hard so I was okay with it but Law didn't know that and was probably just worried I was in pain. "You want me to stay?" He might not have spoken but the little nod said everything I needed to know. "Corazon you can go on ahead I'm going to stay here. It's okay Law I'm not in pain"

Doflamingo's Pov

"Alright, I'll save you a seat then" I watched as (Y/n) waved at my brother but when I was content that she wasn't going to leave I released her wrist. Having the girl here would ensure that Law wouldn't murder me for my actions earlier although I was curious about what those bandages were covering. "Sleeves up Doflamingo-ya" I too was growing hungry so I did as the man asked but I noticed the way (Y/n) looked away. "These look fresh. Don't tell me you've already started again Doflamingo-ya"

(Y/n)'s Pov

"Relax it was only a bit. I needed a pick me up" Doflamingo was your typical user but it was sad that he couldn't see how much his addiction was hurting those around him. I didn't want to see his scars although I wasn't any better than he was. My own arms were covered in scars, only a small group of people knew there were even there. "You're undoing my work and I can't say I appreciate that"

"You're the one who decided to invade my house"

'Slam'

I had jumped at the sound of a slamming door but as a girl started to scream, I look to the men for some kind of explanation. "I'm going to kill you! Hold still!" Who in their right mind was making such threats? This wasn't my house but the owner was sitting right beside me and he didn't seem concerned about the brawl taking place in the next room. "Ahhhh! Hahahaha! Put another hole in the wall and see what the Young Master has to say!" By this point, I had looked at Doflamingo and started to ask about the situation. "What was that?"

"The children are home early" Law was still working on disinfecting the puncture wounds but Doflamingo never even flinched as the fight continued. "I don't care what that bastard does! Get back here!" The moment the doors popped open I thought for sure Doflamingo would break his composer however he didn't. "Young Master she's destroying the hous- Ah, my apologizes I didn't know we had guests" That blonde was definitely familiar but I highly doubt he would recognize me. "I know you"

"Hm?"

He didn't appear to recognize me although as a second person came into view, I discovered she was familiar as well. "We have gym class together and I have art class with you... I'm (Y/n)... Neither mind it's not important" I was a little disappointed they didn't know who I was but when Doflamingo's hand ruffled my hair I looked up. "Dellinger, Baby 5 this is (Y/n). She's nice so maybe you can be friends with her and why the hell are you brats destroying my house!?" That yell was loud but the female of the pair refused to back down as she shoved Law out of the way.

"You bastard! I'm sick of you destroying my love life!" When her arm transformed into a gun my mouth dropped open but this must have been one of those weird powers Law was talking about earlier. "Baby 5 I need you to be friends with little (Y/n) here... Maybe it will distract you as well" The last part was said in a whisper but as the girl lowered her weapon, I noticed she set her sights on me instead. "You need a friend!? I'll do whatever you need! You need me, right!?"

"Fufufu. Good luck (Y/n). Why don't you show her your room Baby 5?" I really felt like Doflamingo was throwing me to the wolves right now but maybe she would turn out to be a friend worth having. "Oh, good idea! Come on (Y/n)!" I knew it wasn't her fault although the moment her hand tightened around my wrist the pain became too much. "Ahhh!" The grip had immediately loosened and Law had come over to check on me but as Baby 5 started to tear up I tried to put on a brave face. "S-Sorry about that. I was j-just a little surprised is all"

Baby 5's Pov

Why was (Y/n) lying? "B-But" I could feel the blood on my fingers so it was clear I had hurt her although before I could bring it up the Young Master cut me off. "Run along Baby 5. Dinners at six but we're having breakfast shortly. Make sure you wash your hands before coming back down" Did he notice (Y/n)'s strange behavior as well? "(Y/n)-ya follow me for a second" The girl's sleeves were black so I couldn't see if there was blood on them but if Law was requesting her to follow him then maybe he knew exactly what was wrong with her. "I'm fine Law there's no need to worry"

"Bathroom now (Y/n)-ya" Law's voice was surprisingly low and I didn't see why since normally this man would yell at anyone who refused to listen to him. Hmm, maybe these two were dating. "This isn't my house I don't know where that is" I really hoped (Y/n) was okay, hurting my new friend wouldn't be good. "Walk in that direction. Doflamingo-ya you can bandage yourself up or have Baby 5 do it" As the pair walked away, I noticed Law had slipped a roll of bandages into his pocket but his actions only left me confused. "Think you can manage that Baby?"

"Young Master is there something wrong with (Y/n)?" He must have noticed it too but as he responded my worries only increased. "Don't worry about it, Baby. Trust is earned so I'm sure if there is something wrong, she'll tell you eventually. Go wash your hands there's blood on them" The Young Master wasn't a stranger to blood but since his eyes were uncovered, I could see there was concern within them. "I think it's (Y/n)'s but I hardly touched her"

"Like I said don't worry about it. She's in good hands" It was true that Law was one of the best medical students within the whole city but even if the physical injury was healed putting a bandage over an open wound wasn't a permanent fix. I had seen what the Young Master did to himself over the years and each day I woke up fearing he didn't make it through the night. Maybe nothing was with (Y/n) but I hoped if something was, she'd tell me.

"If you say so Young Master. I'll be right back don't go anywhere!"

Cinder's Pov

'Knock' 'Knock'

I may have been the person who told Kato to come up to the apartment but now I didn't even want to leave the couch. "Cinder, are you going to open the door?" He was the stubborn type so carefully I got up though my hand hovered over the deadbolt while I tried to calm myself. Before I could rush back to the safety of the couch my hand unlocked the door and pulled it open. "There's my girl. I picked you up some pancakes on the way over here since I figured you be hungry. Is something wrong Cinder? Your eyes are puffy"

He noticed every detail when it came to me but right now, I really wished he hadn't picked up on my bloodshot eyes. Kato was sweet and kind, this news would devastate him. "That wasn't necessary Kato but thank you. Please come in" I couldn't prolong the news forever so as I took the takeaway box within my grip, I lead him inside the apartment. "What exactly are we discussing Cinder? You're not breaking up with me, right?"

I'd never break up with Kato he was my everything but as I stared up at him from the couch, I said the one thing I was terrified that could happen today. "It might be you who is breaking up with me" We hadn't discussed the topic of children before but we were only teens ourselves so that shouldn't have been on either of our minds. "Hm!? What do you mean?" Kato's tone was filled with shock and for whatever reason, it had caused my tears to finally start falling. "I-I'm pregnant and I don't know what to do! What is my mother going to say? She'll disown me! Hawkins will be pissed as well!"

My relationship with my mom was already strained enough but oh god if Hawkins found out about this, he'd murder Kato. "Cinder calm down its alright. A-Are you going to keep it?" That wasn't even something I had been able to consider and in my current state, it was best not to make any final decisions. "I don't know. This isn't how it was supposed to happen!" Kato's arms had wrapped around my now shaking form although just as I was about to push him away, he said something that caused me to freeze. "I'll still love you regardless of your choice but just so you know I think you should keep it"

"W-What do you mean Kato? We can't raise a child" I knew Kato came from money but he was talking crazy if he thought this was a good idea. "Just think about it Cinder. I know it's not the most practical thing but we still created this life. Are you going to class today or should we go back to my house? My family is gone for the day~ Heheheheh" I couldn't believe he was trying to laugh at a time like this and how dare he suggest such a thing, being alone with him was never a good idea. "Bad Kato! This is exactly the behavior that got us into this mess in the first place"

"There's your smile~ I love you Cinder. Come on before traffic picks up" Kato's body had moved but as he gripped my wrist, I stopped him. "Who said I'm going with you?" I would have gladly gone with him although I couldn't let this man think I was easy. "Oh, I'm kidnapping you for the day. We have much to discuss and school will only be a detraction" Kato would make a terrible kidnapper however today just wasn't a good day to play games. "There's a test today in math class. I can't just miss it" My grades were already failing and if I ever wanted to make something of myself, I needed to at least pass. "I'll take care of it don't worry. Are you coming or not?"

Little rich boy Kato was many things but was he really prepared to bribe the school? Probably although I still didn't see why the man was acting like his world wasn't falling apart. "Why are you acting so calm about this?" He might have been in shock but when I heard his answer, I realized it was the complete opposite. "Because it doesn't matter. You're pregnant with my baby so now I need to step up and make sure you're comfortable"

"If you're kidnapping me then start carrying me. Oh, and you can tell Hawkins what you did to me" Since I had just found out I didn't bother with informing my older brother although I'd leave it to Kato to figure out telling him. No time would be right but I'm sure he could handle it. "... Will you plan my funeral?"

I had gotten my pastries but now that we had returned to Penguin's apartment the man was completely ignoring me and it was growing annoying. "What are you doing Penguin?" He looked rather invested in his laptop but I didn't bother trying to peek as I continued to scan his cool collectibles. "Working on something Zoey. Stop touching that you'll break it" For someone who loved women as much as Penguin did, he was being a little jackass right now. "I thought the plan was to have some fun before school. You're boring Penguin. Oh, what's this?"

"Zoey that isn't a toy put it down. Are you even listening to me?" This ship is definitely well crafted but damn was I jealous it belonged to Penguin. "Awesome~ I've never seen such a well-done Exco Spacefighter. Where did you get it?" It must have cost him a fortune but as I placed the ship back on its display, I turned to see the man was blushing. "You're a fan?" Not many people even knew the show existed although I was one of the few that really enjoyed it. "Oh, yeah it's one of the best series ever to be made. Sucks they canceled it after the second season"

"I know right! Cough. I mean I really should finish this task for the boss" Real smooth Penguin. Hmm, maybe I could get some alone time with him by driving him to class. "We'll talk later. How about I drive you to school?" He had a car in the parking lot but let's get say some troublemaker decided to mess around with it. "Why? I have my own car Zoey"

"I know but I noticed this morning someone had put a nail in your tire"

"Someone what!?"

(Y/n)'s Pov

I would have thought that medication was supposed to keep him asleep for at least six hours but from the look on the man's face he was up to stay. He looked healthy than before however, that occasional cough was the only sign of his illness. That and those dark circles around his eyes but those would be there for a while since he refused to get the appropriate amount of sleep. "Law you're not allowed to leave the bed. Lay back down" That glare within his eyes was not that most pleasant thing although I didn't feel intimidated so I remained in place.

My body was pressed against his which was thankfully trapped under the covers and it was probably the reason why he was having trouble sitting up. "Move (Y/n)-ya" He could have easily overpowered me but from what I could tell he wasn't even making an attempt. "I already told you that's not going to happen. Where are you even trying to go?" He looked a little resilient to tell me his plans but within a couple of seconds, his glare softened, and a reply was heard. "I need to go check on Doflamingo-ya. After that man od's, I'm supposed to give him a special medicine but with everything that happened, it slipped my mind. You may come with me if you want"

"Oh, why didn't you just lead with that? Alright, let's go" I was quick to remove myself from the man but I had to question why he was tilting his head at me. "Are you sure? Doflamingo-ya's house isn't exactly that most pleasant place to visit" Having already witnessed that older male's 'episode' I was a little wary of going to his house but with Law there, I'm sure everything would work out. "It's fine now hurry up before I decide you can't leave the house"

I had moved to stand just beside the bed although as Law threw the covers to the side I couldn't help when a giggle exited my mouth at the man's childish act. "You're brave I'll give you that (Y/n)-ya. Just let me change your bandages before we go" Of course he'd be in doctor mode but as I thought back to how rough he was when changing them last time I was a little reluctant to let him near my wounds. "Alright, but can you be gentle this time?"

"When was I ever rough with you?" His face showed confusion but I didn't believe the act for a second. "Real funny Law" When that smirk appeared on his lips, I knew exactly what he was playing at but chose to ignore it as I took a seat at the end of the bed. "I still need to disinfect it (Y/n)-ya so it may sting a bit" That was totally doctor code for prepare to bite something and try not to kick me. "Or hurt like hell" I was thankful Law was even taking time out of his day to deal with me but I wasn't going to make things easy for him. "You're a difficult patient (Y/n)-ya"

"And you're a weird med student"

Doflamingo's Pov

"Young Master?" I was done dealing with people today but as my family entered the room, I only scanned the members before reaching for my drink. They wouldn't be receiving a response from me however as they began to speak amongst themselves, I felt my grip tighten around the glass. "Maybe we shouldn't bother him. Just look at his eyes" My sunglasses were somewhere in the room but I didn't care enough to shield my eyes from them. "I'm worried about him. Can't we do something to help him?"

They had nothing to worry about I was perfectly fine. My heart was still pounding away and in my book that was all that mattered. "Tsk. Start by finding that bastard who left him in this state" Could they be referring to my sweet Crocodile? I hope not since killing a family member was not something I wanted to do so early in the morning. "I agree that man needs to be taking care of sooner than later. Should we put out the green light?" My mind might have been fading in and out during their conversation but that one sentence immediately brought me back to reality. "None of you are to touch a single hair on my Croco-chan's head! Get the hell out and shut up!"

"Y-Yes, Young Master!"

'Ring' 'Ring' 'Ri-'

I hadn't expected to receive a call so early but I didn't bother to check the number before I answered it. "What!?" My mood was unpleasant, to say the least, although when a familiar voice filled through the line my heartbeat picked up. "Doflamingo can you not answer the phone like a normal person for once?" I had that man's voice memorized to the point where even in a crowded room I could pick it out but it didn't make sense for him to be calling. "Croco-chan? Why the hell are you calling?"

"Don't take that tone with me. I'm just calling to check up on you since this business trip has been extended by another day. How are you holding up?" He had broken up with me a few days ago but why was he checking up on me? That made no sense although I decided to reply as my drink was placed back down so I couldn't throw it against the wall. "What business trip?" I would have remembered if the man was leaving on a business trip but as I listened to his voice, I really started to question what happened Sunday night and Monday morning. "Moron. The business trip I left for on Monday. Don't tell me you forgot"

"So, that's where you disappeared to? You know a note would have been nice" I had no reason to question where Crocodile currently was but even as I thought back to Sunday night the events were blurry. "I left you one on the nightstand" My thoughts wandered to the bedroom but right now I was too lazy to leave the living room. "No, you didn't"

"Yes, it's underneath that stupid lamp you keep there. I'm not going to fight with you about it. How has your week been going?" Now I loved Crocodile more than anything but I really tried to keep my drug use a secret when he was involved. Sure, he knew I was a user although I doubted the man knew how bad it had gotten. "Fine. How was yours?" Crocodile wasn't a stupid man so as he replied I tried to remain calm. "If it's going so 'fine' then why did Bonez inform me that you overdosed again?"

"It's not a big deal Croco-chan"

"You're going to kill yourself Doflamingo and you can't keep relying on others to fix your mistakes. It'll come to the point where your past saving. Look I have to go back into the meeting but I'll call you later tonight. Goodbye Doflamingo" I didn't bother to reply since the line had already gone silent although his words really stung. "Young Master? Your brother is here" I only had two but neither of them came to the house very often. "Which one?"

"Law and he brought a young lady with him. Should I send them in?"

"Oh, he brought little (Y/n)? Fufufu. Sure, send them in"

(Y/n)'s Pov

"Law you don't have any cold medicine and I checked twice. I can run over to the store to pick up a bottle if you want" As the man shifted around under the covers, I caught a glimpse of his hand but his back was turned away from me. "Do whatever you'd like (Y/n)-ya. Yawn. If you need cash look in that piggy bank over there" My eyes followed where his finger was pointing though after they found the pig they quickly drifted back to Law. "Okay you get some sleep and I'll bring you back some medicine. What kind should I buy?"

"You can decide I don't care as long as it does the job" That really didn't make things clear but maybe I could just get away with buying something cheap. "Alright Law I'll try to be quick" Turing away from the man I started towards his little piggy bank to collect some funds but something Law said caused me to start blushing. "Take my key (Y/n)-ya you'll need it to get back inside"

I didn't turn around in fear he would see my rosy cheeks although I did respond while counting out a few bills. "That's probably a good idea. Where do you keep it?" As I gathered up enough money to cover the cost of the medicine, I placed it in a nice neat pile before facing the man. Thankfully he was still hiding out underneath the covers. "It's in that box by the front door"

"You know Law it's not very smart to keep such a valuable item at the entrance to your apartment" This time Law has shifted just enough for me to see his eyes over the blankets but my heart ached slightly since he looked worse than before. "No one would dare break into my apartment (Y/n)-ya and even if they did, they'd quickly regret it. 'Cough' 'Cough' You should get going but if you need anything call" I knew for sure my phone wasn't in my pocket but I also knew that thing wasn't even charged. "I'm pretty sure my phone's dead Law"

"Of course, it is... Take Penguin-ya with you" I might have been small but it wasn't like I couldn't handle myself in a situation. However, it might be good to have someone with me who knew their way back to the apartment. "Doesn't he have class?" I knew Law was sick so he wouldn't need to go and I was taking care of him so I'd skip classes today but the other man didn't have a legitimate excuse that would keep him home. "He does but whenever I don't go, he stays home as well"

"So, he's playing hooky? That's interesting... Alright, I'm leaving now Law so stop detracting me" Finally slipping into my shoes I unlocked the door but couldn't even get it opened since Law had decided to speak up. "Don't forget the money (Y/n)-ya" I was a little embarrassed about forgetting such an important thing though I wasn't about to let Law get the win with this one. "I didn't forget!" Shoving the bills into my pocket I heard back over to the door but for whatever reason, that man decided he was going to have the last words. "Keep telling yourself that (Y/n)-ya"

'Slam'

"Easy on the boss's door (Y/n) you're going to break it if you're not careful. Where are you heading to and where's the boss?" Penguin looked like he was ready to head to class but I found that strange since Law had just told me he was skipping class today. "Law's sick... I thought he told you. Oh, and he also said that I have to bring you with me to the store" Based on the books in Penguin's hands I figured he was going to school but that would contradict what Law had told me. "Hm? That's strange he's never sick or at least not sick enough to miss a day of school. Sure, I'll go to the store with you (Y/n) just let me put my books back inside"

Since he was already in front of his door, I waited a few seconds but when he returned to my side, I asked him a question. "Are you really skipping class just because Law's not going to be there?" Surprising Penguin didn't seem bothered that I called him out since after I had finished, he had just struggled with his shoulders before started towards where the elevator was. "He hardly misses class (Y/n) unless it's due to work so it's better if I stay home just encase, he needs anything... Law's always been there for me and I also want to be there for him"

"That's really sweet Penguin. I'm sure Law appreciates it" The way his face light up at the compliment was cute and as he spoke, I couldn't help but giggle. "Yeah, he does as long as no one messes up his care. Where are we going by the way? I know you mentioned going to the store but you left out the why" Oh that's right I needed to hurry up before my panda bear got any worse or decided to leave the apartment. "Law doesn't have any cold medicine so I'm picking up a bottle"

"Ah, so you're playing the role of his nurse then? That's adorable (Y/n)" As I thought over Penguin's claim it somehow sounded true but then again, I was just acting like a caring friend, not a nurse. "I wouldn't necessarily call myself his nurse but you're free to think whatever you'd like" When we arrived at the elevator Penguin's finger hovered over the down arrow but soon enough, he pressed down as a light red hue emitted from it. "Every doctor needs a nurse by his side (Y/n)~ Hehhehee. Do me a favor and continue making him happy. Law doesn't have a lot of people around him but when it comes to you, he acts different"

Sure, Penguin had talked about Law the whole night but now something seemed off. It wasn't anything bad however I just couldn't place the look Penguin had in his eyes. "Different? How so?" By the time the elevator doors opened, I still didn't have an answer although as the man stepped forward, he flashed me a grin before giving me some cryptic reply. "Not everyone has been kissed by death (Y/n)-chan... Are you coming or not?" His hand was keeping the elevator door from closing so before I kept him waiting too long, I stepped forward. "What kind of saying is that Penguin and it better not mean anything weird?"

"Sorry (Y/n) but that's something you need to figure out on your own" Maybe Law could help me figure out what this man meant. Although I really didn't want to wait since my curiosity was eating away at me. "It would be better if you ju-" As someone from down the hall started to yell, I looked back only to lock eyes with the girls Law was talking with earlier. "Hold the elevator!" I couldn't for the life of me remember their names but Penguin seemed to know at least one of them. "Oh, good morning Zoey! I didn't think you were up this early" Looking back at the man I could see he was slightly blushing at Zoey however she only turned away as her friend spoke. "Excuse me? Good morning jackass don't pretend you never saw me"

"Relax Cinder... Where are you two heading?" It was silent for a few seconds as the ground floor button was hit but soon Penguin started to answer Zoey. "(Y/n) is picking up some medicine for Law and I'm going with her. Where are you two off to?" As soon as Cinder started to glare at Penguin, I knew she wasn't in the best moods but only backed into the corner of the elevator for my own safety. "It's none of your damn business!" If I wasn't mistaken, I could have sworn there were tears in her eyes but this wasn't my life so I kept quiet. "We're going to the drug store as well but you know Penguin there's this lovely bakery just down the street. Why don't we go pick up some muffins and those two can head to the store?"

"Zoey you can't just abandon me in my time of need" Hmm, that didn't sound good but again I didn't want to interfere in her life. Sure, I had bothered Law, Drake, and Kidd but they were different. "I'll meet you there later but for now (Y/n) here will go with you. Think you can handle this bitch for me (Y/n)?" Zoey was definitely a bold friend, but somehow Cinder wasn't that upset by the word choice. "Who are you calling a bitch?" When a hand was placed on my shoulder, I realized we had reached the ground floor and quickly stepped off. The two girls were still messing around although neither were upset. "You. Now shut up Cinder before I smack you"

"I'd like to see you try... (Y/n) follow me I know a shortcut to the shop"

"Okay"

20 Minutes Later...

We had gotten to the shop quite quickly but once we arrived Cinder and I had gone our separate ways. However, since I had picked out a bottle of medicine, I wanted to ask the girl about whether or not it was a good brand. "Do you think this cold medicine will do the job Cinder?... Are you alright Cinder?" When I had spoken up, I could see her jump but she never turned away from the object that was holding her attention. "He's going to hate me if it's true" When Cinder turned to face me, I could see the tears were falling but based on the items in her line of sight I could only guess as to why she was behaving like this. "You'll never know until you take the test Cinder and how can you be so sure he'll hate you?"

"... I don't know (Y/n) but there's no way I can take that up to the cash" That was understandable so as I picked up the cheapest test kit, I turned back to my shopping buddy before I offered her a smile. "I'll do it for you. Do you have any cash on you? I only have enough for this cold medicine" There was doubt within her eyes though I didn't let my smile fade since that would only cause her more uneasiness. "Are you sure about this (Y/n)?" Nodding my head, I started towards the front of the store but stopped for a quick second to ask her about payment. "Yup. Now do you have cash or not?"

"Yeah, here you go (Y/n)... Thanks for doing this it means a lot" When she slipped me a few bills I made my over way to one of the free lanes and placed my two items down. I knew the lady behind the cash was staring at the items however I didn't care. All I wanted was to get back to Law as soon as possible. "You know these tests aren't for children. Did you perhaps pick it up by mistake?" The cashier's fingers were tapping against the pink box while she waited for an answer from me. "Nope, it wasn't a mistake" Without another word the box was scanned but based on that look on her face I knew she was judging the purchase. "Your total is for today is 5600 Beri. Will that be cash or credit?"

"Cash please"

An Hour Later...

"Thanks for staying with me (Y/n). With Zoey gone God knows where I really didn't want to do this alone" From what I gathered about Cinder she was one of the popular girls in the school but silly me hadn't even heard of her before. I must have been living under a rock for far too long although in the little time we're spent together I could tell she was a good person. "Has it been three minutes yet?" We never bothered setting a timer but as I stared up at the countertop, I narrowed at the stick barely hanging off the edge.

"Probably... Do you mind checking it for me?" Since Cinder didn't look like she even wanted to get off of the bathroom floor right now I stood up to check the results. "I can do that" Standing over the stick I looked over the visual pink lines before briefly scanning the box to see what the results meant. "So, is my life officially over?" Lying to the girl wouldn't do any good and in time she'd start showing anyway. "Don't think of it as ending Cinder just think of it as a new beginning... Are you going to tell him?"

"He'll be here to pick me up anytime now but I'm afraid (Y/n). What happens if he leaves me?" Clearly, this girl was in love with whoever this man was although it was her decision to tell him and I couldn't push her into doing it. However, I could tell her my opinion of guys who abandon their pregnant partners. "Then he's a terrible person who has no business being around you anyway. Do you want me to walk you down?" I had some free time so didn't mind taking her downstairs but Cinder only shook her head as she replied. "No, I'd rather him come up here first. Hawkins always tells me to not keep anything in since it would only cause problems later... I'll see you around (Y/n)"

"Good luck Cinder and remember be careful on your way out Law should still be asleep out there"

"Ah yes I wouldn't want to awaken the panda bear. You know he's a lot happier with you around (Y/n). I've never seen him let a single person hug him before besides Lu-chan but for you he accepted it and I could tell he wanted to return your gesture. However, if you want him you shouldn't wait. Law's a popular guy and half the girls in the school want a piece of him so I'd scoop him up before someone else does. See ya later (Y/n)" As Cinder's hand reached for the doorknob, I could see she was hesitant. "Yeah, take care Cinder and if things go wrong, you're more than welcome to come here for the day"

'Ding'

"Is that him?" Based on the fear within her eyes, I already had my answer but I wanted to hear it from her own mouth before making any assumptions. "Yeah, he's in the parking lot" She was tapping her fingers against the screen of her phone although I wanted to know the identity of this guy. She hadn't mentioned his name during our talk but I needed a name just encase he broke Cinder's heart. "Not to be intrusive but who exactly are you dating?"

(Y/n)'s Pov

As soon as the person waiting behind the apartment door spoke Law was on his feet, but I was surprised when he started barking orders back at me. It had become clear that he knew these people though I was just left confused by the whole situation. "Shit! (Y/n)-ya go get me the black box sitting in the fridge!" I didn't ask any questions as I did as I was told but the moment, I grabbed the requested item I turned to face something I was not prepared to see. There was a tall blonde shaking on the apartment floor with foam coming from his mouth, but Law must have seen this before since he wasn't wasting any time trying to remove the man's shirt.

"Cora-san, take that box from (Y/n)-ya then put her in the bathroom!" As the box was pulled from my hands, I look up just in time to meet the eyes of another blonde. He looked remarkably similar to the one currently suffering on the ground, but his eyes showed pure pain with fresh tears brimming the edges. That must be his brother though why were they at Law's apartment instead of the hospital. "Sorry (Y/n) but you shouldn't see this" I wasn't even given the chance to reply before the same man removed me from the room. "W-Wait is he going to be okay!?"

'Slam'

The bathroom had been slammed shut and all I could do was slide to the still damp floor. "Cora-san how much did he take!?" I could still hear the two males yelling at each other, but it only made my tears start to fall as I tried to block them out. This wasn't something I was prepared to deal with though even with my hands pressed firmly to my ears I could still make out their conversation. "I don't know! There were a few empty needles beside him! S-Should I call for an ambulance?" As my hands dropped to my lap, I found myself thinking back to something the man had said early.

"T-This isn't the first time"

An Hour Later...

Law's Pov

It had taken some time, but I had final managed to remove the drug from Doflamingo's system although I was being to grow tired of this routine. He was here at least once every two weeks and each time I was the one responsible for making sure he stayed alive. "Cora-san this needs to stop, and we both know. He's going to end his own life if this bullshit carries on. Where is his partner?" Doflamingo normally was limited to what he could take per day, but his partner was the only reason the man would hold some resistance. "Law it's not that simple you know how Doffy is... he's only trying to live with the pain. As for Crocodile, I'm not sure where exactly those two stand with each other"

"This is the last time I'm going to help him with his problem. Next time take him to the hospital... You can stay until he wakes up but after that, you need to leave" Taking my eyes off the male sleeping soundly on the couch I made my way into the kitchen to get a drink but when Cora-san spoke I was reminded of someone important. "Who's the girl in the bathroom?" The glass in my hand was placed back onto the countertop as I turned to face Cora-san as worry filled my features. "... Her name is (Y/n)-ya. I'll be right back... don't touch anything"

'Knock' 'Knock'

The door had been locked so I tried to speak through the door to see the mental state of the girl. She was a sensitive one, but I didn't want this scaring her away from me. "(Y/n)-ya? Are you okay? I didn't mean for you to see that. Can I come in?" When the soft click of the lock reached my ear, I waited a few seconds as the door was pulled open just a crack. "I-Is that guy okay?" Her eyes were slightly red though that was understandable since fresh tears were still dripping down her cheeks.

(Y/n)'s Pov

"Yes, Doflamingo-ya is fine. He's asleep on the couch. I'm sorry if I scared you (Y/n)-ya. Did you want to come out and met my brother? It might be the wrong time, but it will take your mind off things for a minute" Oh, if that was Law's brother then it made perfect sense as to why he would go to him with something like this. As I stood up from the ground, I dried my tears the best I could though when my hands brushed against the fabric of my pants, I remembered how I had been sitting on a wet floor for the last hour.

"T-That's your brother?... Hmm, I guess I'd like to meet him, but can I borrow some dry clothes? I was sitting in a puddle" It wasn't the worst feeling but I knew if I wanted to be comfortable then I wanted to be wearing something dry. "Just wait here I'll find you some. Do you just need a pair of pants?" When I nodded my head, Law started over to his dresser and took out a small pair of sweats then returned to my side. "Here (Y/n)-ya take your time. I'll even heat up that soup for us to eat"

"Hey! I'm going to make the soup you're sick Law and should be in bed!" He was a fool for thinking I would forget that he was sick but when someone started to laugh Law snapped his head back to glare at the person responsible. "Cora-san why are you laughing!?" Hmm, why did this man get a 'san' title and not the typical 'ya' title everyone else got? "Hahaha. Sorry Law but it's not every day someone gives you orders. When did you even find yourself a girlfriend? I was starting to convince myself you were gay although I guess that's not the case"

"Shut up Cora-san! (Y/n)-ya isn't my girlfriend she's just my friend who happens to be a girl!" Law looked so cute when he was mad though since he banished me into the wet bathroom, I decided to tease him a little bit. "Hehehe. I wouldn't be opposed to being your girlfriend Law. You already kissed me after all~" There was probably some truth behind that statement but before I could say anymore Law had handed me a dry pair of pants. "Put your clothes on (Y/n)-ya... please"

As I walked back into the bathroom, I shut the door though listened to the man that continued to tease poor Law. "Hahahaaha. What happened to the little rude brat that stabbed me in the back? Hahaha" Those two were definitely brothers and it didn't matter if they shared blood or not. "What did I just say Cora-san!?" It was best not to leave Law for too long though as I peeled off my pants, I realized my panties were also soaked. "Damn... Hmm, I wonder if Law brought my bookbag... Law!?" I'm sure my sudden yell caused him to jump but that didn't matter at the moment. "What is it (Y/n)-ya!?"

"Do you have my bookbag!?" I was standing here without any pants on, so he really needed to hurry up before I got impatient. My gosh, I'm starting to sound just like Law. "...Yes, do you need something from it!?" There was no way I was going to let Law go through my stuff in search of my underwear and he didn't even need to know that's what I was looking for. "Just bring me the whole thing!"

'Knock' 'Knock'

"Here you go (Y/n)-ya" Law never moved to open the door so very carefully I hid between the door and reached my hand out before I brought the bag into the room. "Thank you" Closing the door once again I started to go through my bag in search of the period bag that I kept in there. I always had a spare pair of panties in it since you never knew when you would need an extra pair. "Ah there you are" Quickly pulling them out I slide them on then slipped into the pants Law had given me. "Alright that should be it"

Exiting the bathroom, I placed my bag down beside the door before I joined Law on the couch. "Hello! I'm (Y/n) who are you?" As Law's arm rested against my shoulders, I looked over at him but when I saw the slight blush on his cheeks I turned back to the blonde. "I'm Donquixote Rosinante but feel free to call me Corazon everyone else does. So, how did you meet my little brother? Hahaha. I'm curious as to why he's hanging out with such a cute girl" I was not known to be a liar so without thinking about it I started to reply.

"He came over to my house a few days ago to help me study for biology class and he kissed me within an hour of being there" As the two males started to argue amongst themselves, I noticed that the other blonde in the room was staring directly at me. I thought he had been asleep but when he blinked, I could only tilt my head to the left so it could rest against Law's shoulder. "Law! Who the hell taught you to be so disrespectful!?" The unnamed male hadn't spoken a single word though I could see his fingers had started to twitch. "I kissed her for a reason! She was having a panic att-"

"That makes it ten times worse!" When the male's fingers started to move in a unique pattern, I decided to ask Law about it since something didn't seem quite right about it. "Law, what is that guy doing with his fingers?" Law's argument with Corazon had died down just long enough for him to reply to me. "Who?... Oh, Doflamingo-ya you're awake. Law was acting quite calm for just watching his brother almost die on his living room floor but maybe he was used to this kind of thing. "Fufufu. My Crocodile left and he's not coming back. What's your charge this time Doc?" As the male started to get up from the couch I watched as a pair of sunglasses was slipped onto his eyes although my gaze shifted down to the puncture wounds that littered his tan skin. His arms were in rough shape but before I could stare for too long a long pink sleeve was pull over them. "Fufufufu. It's rude to stare... (Y/n), right?"

"Do you want any help?" I'm not exactly sure why I offered to help Doflamingo but as his smile faded, I realized that had offended him. "Tsk. I don't need anything from you. Corazon, move your ass so I can go home" When I stood up from my spot Law did try to stop me, but I only brushed him off before I started to walk past the two brothers. "C-Coming Doffy!" As I stood in Doflamingo's path I reached back and locked the apartment door in a poor attempt to stall him. "At least take my number I'm a really good listener... and I'm not letting you leave until you agree"

"Fufufu. You're playing with fire kid... Hm, fine make it quick I have some business that needs taken care of and I can't be late... Corazon do you have my cell?" This guy wasn't behaving as if he had just suffered from a drug overdose but maybe he was just putting on a brave face. "Here you go Doffy" Doflamingo was tapping against the screen though quickly handed it over to me as he replied. "Here I'm calling you 'annoying brat' put your number in before I change my mind"

He wasn't very nice although I was going to ignore his poor manners for the time being. I knew little to nothing about this guy but that didn't matter since I was still going to be there for him. "That's fine as long as you remember what you labeled me" Offering him a smile I handed back his phone and watched as it was placed back in his pocket. "Don't worry you're not someone I'll forget anytime soon" His hand for whatever reason decided to settle against my head although I took it as a friendly gesture. "Alright see you later Mingo"

"What did you just call me?" His smile was widening and the veins on his forehead were starting to pop but as Law pulled me safely behind him, I could help when I giggled at Law's comment towards Doflamingo. "Don't let the door hit you on your way out Doflamingo-ya" There was a little stare-down taking place between the men although it ended when the blonde received a phone call. "(Y/n)-ya must you cause so much trouble?"

"Hm, I don't know what you're talking about Law~ Hehehe. Your brothers are an interesting pair do they go to our school? I've never seen them before" When Law started to shake his head, I waited patiently for him to speak though I was left a little in shock when he finished. "No, they both finished school. Doflamingo is 22 and Cora-san is 20"

"Oh... so what you're telling me is that I just gave my number to an old man?... Hm, he still needs help so I don't care" I knew that Doflamingo wouldn't give up his addiction easily but when he was ready to talk about it then I would be there. This was something that I needed to wait for him to decide to give up on his own even if it took months to reach him. "(Y/n)-ya... you're a good person never change. Come on I'll make us some soup"

"No! I'm making the soup you sit down!"

"Hm, alright (Y/n)-ya... Pots are in the second cupboard on the left and spoons are beside the oven"

"Hm, I like (F/s) but Law might not feel the same way... Actually, if he didn't like it then why is it in his house?" The man was still in the shower though I knew he wouldn't take long so I placed the can down before I began to look for his can opener. "Where the hell does he keep it?... Hm, not here... Not here either" It was strange it wasn't with the other utensils, but I didn't give up hope as I opened yet another drawer. "What are you looking for (Y/n)-ya?"

"Ah! I thought you were in the shower Law?" My heart was threatening to pop out of my chest right now though I found it odd that I never even heard the water turn off. "Try not to scream so loudly (Y/n)-ya someone might think you're in danger. Now, what is it that you're looking for?" It took me a few moments to find the words but eventually, I did start to reply. "Where's your can opener Law?" When the man didn't answer my question right away, I became a little annoyed, but I let it slide since he was sick.

"Earth to Law. Where is your can opener? I can't open this soup without one" As he leaned back against the countertop, I watched his eyes lock on the can but instead of being reasonable, he decided to tease me instead. "I don't own one (Y/n)-ya though maybe if you ask nicely, I'll open it for you" How in the world did Law expect that he was going to open the soup without one? "Oh, great and powerful Law! Please open this soup for me! I'd be forever grateful if you could do me the honor!"

"Room... There you go (Y/n)-ya. I take it you can manage to heat it up on your own?" As my eyes went wide, I noticed Law didn't even bother to stick around as he took a seat on the bed. "W-What was that weird blue circle?" I had never seen something quite like it before, but it had appeared soon after the man said that word. "Aren't you familiar with devil fruit users (Y/n)?" As I thought over what Law had said I was still confused since I didn't know what some fruit had to do with any of this. "A devil who?"

"Didn't your father ever show you his abilities?... Hm, come here (Y/n)-ya I'll tell you everything I know about the fruits" Wait did he just mention my father? I knew our relationship hadn't been the best over the last few years but was he really hiding something like this from me? "Room... Shambles. I don't like to be kept waiting (Y/n)-ya and you know that" This must have been another one of Law's powers though as my eyes shifted back to the kitchen counter I started to reply. "But I have to make you some soup so you can get better"

"The soup can wait until we're finished with this" Hmm, he's probably not going to take no for an answer, and I was curious about these powers anyway, so I'd allow him to speak. "Alright Law but why do I have to sit in your lap?" It wasn't an uncomfortable position, but I found it odd that he would want me to sit on top of him. "... All questions will be answered later (Y/n)-ya. Now let's begin with the basics..."

"Drake would you like your nails trimmed this morning?" My partner's claws needed to be trimmed a few times each week to keep them at an appropriate length, but I also knew he didn't care for sitting still for me that much. "Hm, didn't you cut them a few days ago Hawkins?" As the male admired his claws, I leaned farther back in the tub though offered a quick reply before I did. "Yes, but it's time for them to be trimmed once again. May I see them, Drake?"

As the man placed his arm into mine, I admired his claws although when Drake started to complain I shifted my attention to his face instead. He always would bite his lip when asking a request of me and it was too adorable to miss out on. "I don't want them cut today Hawkins. Can you wait until tomorrow night?" Since his claws did appear to be too long, I would give in to his request though something else needed to be done before classes. "Very well Drake although your hair to due for a wash this morning. Please select a shampoo and lean back for me"

"Oh, alright Ha-"

'Ding'

"Was that your phone Hawkins or mine?" It was strange that Drake had received a text so early in the morning, but I didn't think much about it as the man started to dry his hands off. "I believe it was your phone Drake" As my eyes shifted to the left, I watched him lean over the tub before unlocking the device and reading over the text. "Hm... (Y/n) wants to know if I have a devil fruit. What do I say, Hawkins?" Devil fruit users didn't often make themselves known to the public although with Drake I knew even telling me about his powers was something that took months.

I had become aware of his fruit early on but to keep my partner calm and collected I never brought it up until he wanted to inform me about them. "Do you wish for her to know about your fruit Drake?" My partner was damaged so I could understand the fear that rested behind why he hid his powers, but he behaved differently when (Y/n) was involved. It was a good change though I still had my doubts about whether that girl would negatively or positively affect him. "Not really... Hmm, actually I don't know. She's my friend and lying to her wouldn't end well but what happens if she judges me?"

Since Drake was detracted by his phone, I leaned over his shoulder to whisper a reply into his ear. He always tensed up, but it was just a lovely reaction indeed. "How is it that she became aware of your powers? I thought you hide them from the public" Not everyone was familiar with the fruits since most thought of us as monsters without souls although that was how the world worked. People feared what they did not understand. "D-Don't do that H-Hawkins! H-Hold on I'll ask her... Oh, Law apparently is telling her all about the fruits and mentioned us to her"

So, (Y/n) was just as oblivious of the fruits as most people in the city? That was interesting, to say the least since her father was a Logia user if I remembered correctly. It was possible that the girl was just never informed of devil fruits but somehow, I doubted it was that simple. "If (Y/n)'s with Law does that mean she spent the night at his house?" Those two had only met the other day and Trafalgar was not known for committing to one female but there was a connection between them. "... That would make sense but I'm not going to question her about it. My fingers are starting to get wrinkles can you wash my hair with this shampoo?"

"As you wish Drake. Lean back for me"

I had been up for the past two hours now, but my partner was still sleeping, and judging on the time we were going to end up being late again. "Kidd?... Come on Kidd wake up we're going to be late for class" He wasn't a morning person by any stretch of the imagination though as his eyes popped open, I recognized that glare. It softened soon after when he noticed me sitting beside him but when the male started to speak, I felt my ears begin to ring. "I'm not fucking going!"

"That's not an option today Kidd" As my hands gripped the blanket, I threw it to the side before taking a hold of his hands so he couldn't make any attempt to receive it. "Give me back the blanket Killer! I'm not going to ask you twice!" Kidd might have sounded hateful and angry, but this was his normal behavior, so I was used to it. The male was mostly bark though if someone made him angry enough, he would occasionally bite. He wouldn't dare go against me so I could get away with giving him orders here and there. "No, there's a test this morning and you can't afford to miss it. I'll go prepare some breakfast but when I come back you better be up"

My parents had left for a business trip yesterday so we had the house to ourselves for a few days and if Kidd had his way, we would never leave the house during their time away. Unfortunately for him I actually cared about his education. He probably wouldn't use anything he learned but it would be a nice thing for him to have if he decided to further his career path. "Why in the hell are you so demanding this morning?"

"Go shower Kidd then put on the clothes I laid out for you" Once I had made sure Kidd was sitting up, I moved to leave the bed, but his hand stopped me. "You're lucky that I love you, Killer... About that picture... I'm handing it so don't worry" Yesterday was hell but I was slowly getting over what had happened at school. It wasn't Kidd's fault, and I couldn't hold this against him forever. "Is that where you went last night?" I had briefly woken up last night when Kidd left the house but remained quiet since I didn't want to upset him. "Yes and no. Law needed help with something"

I had nothing against the man but those two were together far too often for my liking. Kidd was loyal to me though there was a small part of me that couldn't push past thinking Kidd might one day cheat with someone else. "Law... you were with him?" As soon as he started to reply the gears in my head started to turn. "Yeah, the plan was to beat the hell out of the teacher that's been failing (Y/n) but he wasn't home. It turns out the bitch is some sort of stalker, and he had this wall with pictures of her. Creepy as fuck if you ask me"

That definitely sounded like something Kidd would do but I was almost glad the teacher wasn't home since bailing my partner out of jail wasn't something that was easy or cheap. Although as I replayed what the male had said I was left with only one question. "Wait who is (Y/n)?" I didn't recall him ever mentioning someone by that name but at the same time, I was a little curious who she was to Kidd. "Law's love interest or fuck buddy. Not really sure which but since she's nice I'm leaning more towards a love interest. You remember that girl he was walking with yesterday? That's her"

Now that Kidd mentioned it, I do remember seeing a girl wearing Law's sweater. It was strange but who was I to judge what the male chose to do with his free time. "Oh, I didn't think Law had time for a relationship" At least if Law turned out to be in a relationship, I could rest easy when those two hang out together. "Yeah, I didn't think so either, but he seems to really like this girl. Can't see the appeal though you should have since him last night. He's going to kill that man that's for sure. Hahaha"

"Does that all make sense to you (Y/n)-ya?" The girl hadn't moved from my lap during my whole explanation but as she started to smile, I felt my cheeks get a small amount of blood rushing to them. "Nope not at all but that's okay I'll still be here for you no matter what... Where did you find your devil fruit Law?" I had left out the detail for a reason but if I was going to be around (Y/n) then I would need to be honest with her. "It was obtained by illegal means. How familiar are you with Diez Barrels?"

"The creepy ginger that lives across the street from me? Hmm, he does not like me very much. Why do you ask Law?" That was a little surprising but then again, she did mention that Drake was her neighbor. "I got my fruit from him although my brother was the one who stole it" It might have sounded like a was involved with the wrong crowd but if it bothered (Y/n) she didn't show it. "Why?... Wait I thought you were all by yourself who is this brother of yours?"

"Well, he's like foster brother and he wanted to cure my illness. This fruit is the only reason why I'm still alive" Her eyes did widen slightly though they quickly returned to normal as she offered me a hug which I never returned. "Oh, okay that makes sense. I would like to meet this brother of yours someday. He sounds kind" Cora-san did have his good moments although there was still that side of him that terrified even me. "He's one of a kind that one but I ha-"

I may have heard some rumors around the submarine and let them get to me since before I could stop myself, I had already walked into my boyfriend's office. "Law we need to break up!" When the man didn't look up from his papers, I said my sentence again just encase he didn't hear me the first time. "And why is that (Y/n)-ya?"

"You know exactly what you did! Don't play me for a fool!" When Law started to rub his temples with his thumb and index finger, I narrowed my eyes at him since this was a serious matter. "(Y/n)-ya I have no idea what you're talking about. Please take a seat" Leave it to Law to play the innocent act but I was not about to give in to his orders. "No! You're a fucking cheater!"

When Law stood up from his desk, I took a few steps back but it was only for his safety. "(Y/n)-ya I have never once cheated on you! Who the hell told you I did!?" Thinking back to what I had overheard today I felt my fist clench but quickly responded before I could act on my rage. "Penguin said you stole the hearts of three girls and two men on the last island we're on! How dare you yell at me cheater!"

He seemed to be thinking over what I said although once his facial features relaxed, I became confused. "(Y/n)-ya I love you to death but you can be a moron at times. I took the hearts of those people as in the actual beating organ. Do you want to see them?" When a small blue cube was placed on the desk between us, I felt the color drain my face before I slowly started to back away. "Wait... Oh my- I was never here! This conversation never happened!"

"I'll see you at dinner (Y/n)-ya and please stop yelling you'll only make your throat sore"

Dracule Mihawk

"Mihawk where are you!?" I had endured being stuck on this island for far too long and once I found my so-called boyfriend, I was going to tell him exactly how it was. He wouldn't be very happy with me but I just didn't care anymore. "In the kitchen. Why are you screaming my dear?" When the man stuck his head out of the kitchen, I noticed a bowl in his hand though ignored it as I started the little tangent that I had been practicing all morning. "I'm breaking up with you and there's nothing you can say that will change my mind"

Instead of becoming annoyed with me, I noticed he only turned his back and slowly started to speak. "There's a new girl wandering around the castle. Her name is Perona perhaps you can act as her mother figure for the remainder of her stay?" Damn it why did this man have to use my weakness for children against me like this? "Where is this girl?" As my head started to look around the area for the girl, I heard what sounded like a smartass comment from Mihawk. "Aren't you ending our partnership (Y/n)?"

"Tsk. That can wait until next month"

"Mihawk I'm breaking up with you and this time I'm serious!" I knew the man had just returned from the war a few days ago but unfortunately, I was sick so I couldn't start a fight with him at the time of his return. "(Y/n) have you met my new student yet?" He might have been able to change my mind by allowing Persona to stay here but this time I wasn't going to let that happen. "No! I'm not going to fall for that trick ag- Is that him? He's so cute!"

I had been thinking this through for a while now but today I had finally decided where I stood with my boyfriend. We couldn't be together sexual and, in the end, that was what caused me to settle with the decision of leaving him. "Kuma?" As he turned his attention away from his book, I felt my breath stop for a minute though I knew this had to be done. "Yes, (Y/n)-chan?"

This needed to be treated like a bandage since if I waited longer than necessary, I wouldn't go through with it. "I don't want to date you anymore" My voice remained calm but inside it hurt me more than he would ever know. "Alright, if you could go anywhere where might that be?" Kuma always was reasonable when it came to me and in some way, he probably knew that this moment was coming. "Hm? Dressrosa seems interesting enough"

"Very well (Y/n)-chan. Until we met again"

Sir Crocodile

"Excuse me Crocodile?" As the man continued to stare down at the paper within his hand, I got a little annoyed since Crocodile didn't even look up as he replied. "What do you want (Y/n)?" He was just asking to get slapped but there was no way I could even hit him thanks to that devil fruit he ate. "You've been ignoring me all week and I'm not going to stay with such a jerk. Consider our relationship dissolved" Even after I said that the man still didn't look up although he did address the stupid assistant. "Miss All Sunday would you escort my darling partner back to their room?"

"Of course, Sir~ Come along (Y/n)-san" As the girl took a step towards me, I took several away from her but I knew she'd catch me the moment her devil fruit came into play. "Hell no! This isn't over Croco-bitch!"

"Dos Fleur... Shall we (Y/n)-san?" I hated when she used her devil fruit powers on me but as Crocodile spoke up, I could see his eyes and they looked a little more lifelike than usual. "Miss All Sunday, my partner bruises easily and if I see even one of their fair skin, I'll kill you" That was probably the most romantic thing he's said all month. "Ah~ My Croco-chan is such a protective husband~ Hehhehehe. I'll see you at dinnertime, alright Croco?"

"Didn't you just inform me that you wished to break up (Y/n)?"

"Yes, but now I've changed my mind. I'll see you at six and you better not be late! Goodbye, my dearest husband~"

Donquixote Doflamingo

"Can I help you with something (Y/n)?" That smirk on Doflamingo's face was always present but right now all I wanted to do was make it disappear. "I don't like you and I refuse to be kept prisoner any longer" His smile never faded but this wasn't the first time I told him about my desire to leave him. "Hm, are you trying to break up our little partnership? Fufufu. I'm afraid you don't have much of a choice in the matter love~ Go sit back down before you say something you regret"

This man wasn't weak but a small part of me believed that I could take him on. Probably was a stupid thought but a person could hope. "I'm leaving today Doflamingo so don't expect to see me for dinner" He always made me eat dinner with him and his family although tonight I'd be leaving this Kingdom. "Such a silly girl~ Fufufu. Please take a seat" Doflamingo's smile was starting to twitch but I decided to push my luck just to see what would happen. "No thanks" Never once in this forced relationship did, he use his devil fruit on me without permission but as those tan fingers started to move, I froze. "That wasn't a request (Y/n) it was an order. It wouldn't be wise to test my patience"

His strings weren't anywhere near me but I kept a watch on him just encase he did attach them to me. "No Doflamingo" As he leaned back against his desk chair I took in his relaxed position although didn't feel threatened. "I'll have the kitchen prepare you a snack~ How does that sound?" Damn did he really need to bribe me with food? "What kind of snack?" I wasn't that hard to please when it came to food and I'm sure Doflamingo knew that. "Whatever you want"

"Hmmm? I'll break up with you later" As I made my way over to the couch, I turned back to lock onto Doflamingo's sunglasses but noticed he had taken them off. His eyes would always cause me to pause though before I could fall too deep within them, I looked away. "Keep telling yourself that (Y/n) maybe one day it'll happen" If I was being honest with myself, I knew even if I did leave him my life would be over. There was no running away from someone as powerful as the Joker and even if I did, he'd only drag me right back to his side within a week or two. "Well, thankfully you're old so maybe you'll die soon"

Boa Hancock

"B-But my love what did I do wrong!?" Telling Hancock that I wanted to break up was probably the hardest thing I've ever had to do. She was an incredible girl though I just couldn't handle the amount of attention she would shower me with. "It's nothing against you Hancock but it's time that I moved on" I would have thought she'd fight a little more and some part of me had some doubts about her next sentence but I'd give in to the girl's last request. "... As you wish my love although I would like to throw you a farewell party tonight. Please allow me to do at least that then I'll escort you to any island of your choosing"

"That sounds fun. Sure, Hancock let's do that"

The party was in full swing but I could find my soon ex-girlfriend. "Here (Y/n)-san please enjoy some punch" As I was handed a glass, I stared down at it though took a quick sip before focusing on the person who gave it to me. "Oh, thank you. Have you seen Hancock?" I could do without seeing her but I needed to at least say goodbye to her before we departed. "The Snake Princess should be arriving soon (Y/n)-san" Of course the girl was going to end up being fashionably late. "Right... thanks again for the punch"

As I walked away from the girl, I continued to drink from my glass but when my sight became fuzzy, I accidentally dropped the glass. I didn't even register what was going on though I must have blacked out since when my vision became clear I found myself laying on a bed. "What the hell happened?" When I had tried to sit up something had stopped my movements. "Wha- Are those ropes?" The room might have been dark but I could definitely pick up on the rough material tied around my wrists. "Oh, my sweet (Y/n) did you really think you could leave me after everything I did for you? I'm sorry about the bindings but this is the only way to keep you from running away"

"H-Hancock?"

"Don't worry my love I'll always love you and we'll always be together~"

"Did you want anything to eat (Y/n)?... Honey, Kato's conditions stable now so please stop worrying about him" I had heard my mother loud and clear but I couldn't take my sights off of the man lying on the bed. "No thanks... When should he wake up mom?" He'd been asleep for about an hour now although no one had given me a proper answer about when Kato would wake up. "I'm not sure (Y/n). His injuries were quite serious and he'll need as much rest as possible. Try not to rush things. I'll check on you two later"

Once the bedroom door was shut, I knew my mother had left, but I turned to look around the room just encase she was still there. "I guess she's gone... Kato, I'm so sorry this is all my fault" Going into the forest was my idea and if I had just stayed by the campfire then he wouldn't have gotten hurt like this. Up until this point, my hands refused to touch Kato in fear that I would only bring him more harm. Although as I stared down at him my body couldn't hold itself back any longer.

Pressing my body against I ended up listening to the beating of his heart though that was soon interrupted by the man's voice. "Soft... Warm... Mine..." Taking a look at Kato's face I saw his eyes were still closed but it was comforting to hear him speak. Maybe I should get some rest myself since it would only cause Kato to worry if I stayed up all night watching him. Even if he did wake during the night, I was sure his movements would wake me up as well. "Sleep tight Kato~ Yawnnn. I'll be right here when you awake, my Pumpkin King"

Kato's Pov

"(Y/n) where are you!?" I couldn't remember much besides waking up in that clearing some time ago but right now I was more concerned with the location of my missing partner. (Y/n) wasn't that strong so finding her was my top priority since if something bad happened to her I couldn't live with myself. It might have seemed strange but over the short period of time knowing her, I developed quite a fondness for the girl and my feelings for her were strong enough to cause my heart to skip a beat whenever she was in danger.

"Hello! Who are you? I'm (C/n) pleased to meet ya weirdo! Hehehehe" What did she come from? I didn't know who this little kid was but there was just something about her that caused me to pause. "Hmm, where did you come from... and why do you look so familiar?" As her head tilted to the side, I took a step back though kept a firm hand on my blade just encase this girl was not who she appeared to be. "Me... familiar... why don't you tell me, Pumpkin Boy?"

"My name is Kato, not Pumpkin Boy... Have you seen a young girl wandering through these woods? I lost her and it's important that I find her before something bad happens" Children were often innocent and as she started to reply I was reminded of how my younger siblings would act. I missed them greatly but I also knew that in time we would be together again. Although that wouldn't happen if I couldn't find my partner. "A young girl? Well, I'm young and a girl. Are you looking for me?"

"No, I'm looking for a girl named (Y/n)" When (C/n)'s eyes lit up I was taken aback but at the same time, I was relieved with what she said next. "Oh, you're looking for (Y/n)-san!? I know where she is! Follow me!" When the girl took off running, I was surprised with how fast she was but quickly began to chase after her since if there was even a small chance of finding (Y/n) I would take it. "Hey, slow down!"

As her pace slowed to a walk, I used the chance to catch up to her but clearly, everything was like a game to (C/n). "Oh, I'm sorry slowpoke. Hehehe. How do you know (Y/n)-san? Are you friends with her?" A mere child didn't need to be aware of my relationship with (Y/n) so I just replied with the first thing that came into my mind. "Something like that... How do you know her?" I couldn't remember (Y/n) ever mentioning a weird child living in the forest but maybe she lived nearby and happened to be friends with her little sister or something. "That's not my name. Why did you stop walking (C/n)?" It was also like she was afraid to take another step though as she replied it only confused me more. "I can't go past this point but if you keep walking, you'll find (Y/n)-san... Although Kato please don't enter her special circle. It might seem silly but that circle makes her feel safe... If you do cross it, I'll kill you~ Hehehehe. Goodbye!" As the girl started to run away, I was left staring at her back but when she was out of sight I turned back to the direction where I would find my partner. "What circle would that girl be referring to and why is a little kid threatening my life?... I'll have to ask (Y/n) about her later"

10 Minutes Later...

"Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream~ Throw your sister overboard and listen to her scream~ Hehehehe. Oh, who are you?... Why are you the color orange?... Are you a creep? My mother told me never to talk to strangers go away!" Great I needed to deal with another crazy child although why was this one sitting in a rowboat? "I'm looking for (Y/n) do you know where she is?"

"Oh, if you're friends with (Y/n)-san then you must be a good person! She's around here somewhere but you need to cross the river silly. I'll take you if you pay the toll" Feeling around in my pockets I couldn't find any money though as my fingers wrapped around something solid, I pulled it out to see what it was. "... I don't have any money but I do have this piece of candy" Thankfully when the girl's eyes lit up and her hand reached out, I knew this would work as payment. "That will do. Get in Pumpkin Head"

"That's not my name" Dealing with children was never really my strong suit but I tried to ignore her as I stepped into her boat. "Well, it is now" Finding one child in the woods made sense though now I was beginning to question why all these brats knew my future wife. "How exactly do you know (Y/n)?" These children were definitely strange ones but as the girl replied I was left wondering just what her statement meant. "We are one and the same"

"(C/n) said the same thing" When the girl didn't reply I turned my focus to the river but when I noticed the shore was approaching, I decided to ask her about that saying. "What exactly do you... where did she go?" I was starting to panic a little bit though as the boat slowed to a halt on the neighboring shore, I quickly exited the boat. As the boat started to drift away, I could hear the giggling of children but didn't think much about it. "This place just keeps getting stranger"

"I like your costume. Are you coming to the party?" When my eyes locked on this girl dressed as a bat, I started to question my life decisions but since it was close to Halloween I pushed past the oddness of the situation and asked about my partner. "No, I'm looking for (Y/n)" Just like the other two this girl seemed to know (Y/n) as well. "You're going to see (Y/n)-san!?... Hey, guys, this man's going to see (Y/n)-san!" As more children started to appear I noticed each was wearing a different costume and each was slightly taller than the last. "Really!?"

"I should get going" When I tried to leave the small group two of the girls grabbed onto my hands in an attempt to keep me in place. I was at least three times their height but it would seem they had formed a little tower to reach my hands. "Wait you're going the wrong way. (Y/n)-san lives over there. Come on we'll take you there" I didn't want to waste time arguing with these children so started to follow behind them as we continued through the woods.

15 Minutes Later...

"There she is... but who's that with her?" I couldn't see much from where I was standing though I could see a small child walking around a small girl who appeared to be yelling at the person. "He's dressed like a pumpkin and look he's messing up (Y/n)-san's circle" When I shifted my eyes to the sand, I could see what the children had meant but when the child destroying the circle turned my eyes widened. This boy looked exactly like I did when I was younger. I remained hidden behind the tree and out of sight but when the boy was done wiping away the circle I watched as he walked up to the girl.

"What is he doing?... Hm, they're gone" Turning back to the pair I saw the boy was now hugging the girl although she wasn't returning the gesture. Since nothing was happening between those two, I looked behind me to see if I could see where those children had run off to. It was strange that so many people could just disappear without making any noise though my task was interrupted when someone tapped my shoulder. "Kato, it's time to wake up silly head~ She's waiting for you" Turning towards the voice I was blinded by a white light but just before I blacked out, I could make out a clear view of (Y/n) and she was standing beside a mirror version of myself.

"Good luck, my Pumpkin King~ Hehehe"

(Y/n)'s Pov

As I tried to recover from my near brush with death, I began to make eye contact with the bitch that scared me half to death. "Hahahaha. You're so damn easy to scare (Y/n)! Though the Pumpkin didn't even flinch that's a little unassuming. Come on mom is worried sick about you (Y/n). It's long past curfew after all little Pumpkin Children~ Consider yourself lucky that nothing unsettling attacked you two"

"Ren what the hell!?" I had no clue why this bitch was here though the beast sitting behind her didn't appear to be very happy that I was yelling at the girl. Kato also was still on edge as his grip tightened on the handle of his blade but attacking this thing wouldn't end well for either of us.

'Grrrrrrr'

I wasn't sure exactly what this creature was but its inky black exterior remained me of thick tar and Ren seemed to be speaking with it. "Relax Kage~ We like (Y/n) so you're not allowed to attack her" Oh great this girl was friends with the monster though maybe this thing was actually a good person and I was just judging it prematurely. "What is that thing Ren and why does it have a name?"

"Hmm? Oh, this is Kage or more commonly known as Kage no Otoko. He's a shadow creature that lives within these woods but we're friends so you're perfectly safe. Come with me and I'll take you back to the house. Good thing you're smarter than the average bear (Y/n) since if you went anywhere near those mugs, you'd be captured by that net trap those pesky goblins set" Ren sure knew a lot about these woods though why in the hell did she have a Shadowman as a 'friend'?

"Is 'Kage' the reason why mom doesn't want us in the woods past ten?"

"...No, there are dark forces that call this place their home and unfortunately, they are strongest after the sunsets. We should move before one of them finds us since my abilities won't be enough to keep them away from Kato. You're untouchable to them (Y/n) but you're not immune to being kidnapped"

"Are you a witch Ren?" My mother had said that she was though Ren wasn't my blood sister so I didn't know what exactly she was but the girl never missed her target. "Hahahaha. That's a good one (Y/n)! Did you hear that Kage? Me, a witch? Don't be silly (Y/n). I'm a hunter and I slaughter all creatures that threaten to end the peace within this world but those few are stronger than what I can handle alone. Come along we need to leave this place before they start showing up. Kage, protect that Pumpkin Man and don't let them kill him"

"Who is 'they' and why can't you handle them alone?... Kato, please stop glaring at Kage but keep your weapon at the ready. I need you to protect me, after all~" Determining this man's facial expressions was difficult but the way he was frowning was my only way clear indication of what his hollowed-out eyes could be doing. "I don't like this Shadowman and if he steps out of line, I'll kill him without a second thought"

There was some doubt in my mind that Kato could even cut this thing but maybe Kage's body was able to be cut through. I had no idea though as Ren started to speak, I could hear the rage within her voice. "You wouldn't touch my precious Kage you damn bastard! He is mine and I love him! If you try to hurt him, I'll kill you myself!" Did Ren just say she loved him? Hm, and this bitch had the audacity to insult Kato during their first meeting while she was doing god knows what with a shadow thing.

"Let's get going! We won't want anything attacking us now would we Ren?" Having a fight break out between Kage and Kato was something I wanted to avoid at all costs. Though now that Ren seemed to be forcing on the task at hand again, I could only hope we made it out of these woods without further agreements starting between them. "Shit! Follow me and stay close we'll need to process with caution from this point forward though thankfully the woods are less childish tonight"

"What does that mean Ren? A place cannot be childish"

"Oh, these woods are very childish (Y/n). Didn't you notice how it added those extra pathways? If I hadn't located you two when I did then it's very possible that you would have never made it out of these woods alive. Well, we're not out of the woods yet but don't you worry I know this place better than anyone"

As I turned to face the man that was carrying me, I noticed he was still on edge though at least Kato looked put together. "I'm not worried. Kato are you worried?" Even if I told myself anything was fine and that Ren would lead us back to the house there was still a small part of me that just wanted to curl up in a tight ball and cry herself to sleep. "No, I'm not worried (Y/n)"

"You both should be worried~ These woods will eat you alive if you have even the slightest trace of fear within your bodies~ Shshshshsh" Ren's lips never moved though Kage had made a few slight movements beside her before he leaned down to her level. "It can talk!?" I'm not sure why this had surprised me but maybe it was due to the fact Kage had only growled at us until this point.

"Yeah, he is a man after all. This inky black cloak you're seeing is just for show but I like it so he rarely removes it unless it's time for bed. Stop asking questions we need to process with caution and your constant talking is going to lead them straight to us" Damn, I didn't want any of these creatures to find us though I still hadn't received an answer about what lived within these woods. "Can I at least know what lives here?"

Kato's Pov

I was curious about the inhabitants of these woods as well but right now I needed to monitor the perimeter should anything try to attack my Pumpkin Queen. Her life was priceless to me and if beings like Kage were living here then it was not going to be an easy task leaving this place.

"As you have already seen Kage used to live here though he's not any threat. Although the others within these woods aren't so friendly and seek to cause chaos whenever possible. The worst ones are known as the 'Lost' we don't have a clear history of them but they appeared within our world long before the sixteenth century. (Y/n)... they wish to end your life for some unknown reason though until your eighteenth birthday you are safe. Come on we need to hurry"

"Do you know if my father's death was an accident? I hadn't thought about that day for years but when he left it was like... he knew that was going to be the last time he'd see me" (Y/n)'s voice almost couldn't finish her sentence though I never interrupted the girl. "I'm not allowed to discuss that (Y/n) but it wasn't an accident... Ask my father about it, he was there that day dealing with the aftermath"

"K-Kato can you help distract me for a few minutes?" She came off guarded but inside my Queen was in such pain and there was little I could do about it. "Sure, (Y/n)... What do you think of this Kage character?" I didn't like this thing since there was just something off about him though I wanted to know (Y/n)'s opinion of the creature. "He reminds me of No-Face but without a mask though he's creepy as hell. Please don't pick a fight with him unless it's necessary Kato"

"Heheheh. I won't (Y/n)~" Distracting the girl was going well though her sister decided to speak up from her spot a few feet ahead of us. "You two are weird" I didn't bother responding but (Y/n) had other plans. "Says the one dating a thing straight from a horror movie"

(Y/n)'s Pov

As I leaned against Kato's chest, I noticed Ren had stopped walking down the path. She slowly turned to face me though I didn't like that smirk she had on her lips. "He has a human form and you're meant him once before (Y/n)" That made zero sense since Ren never brought home anyone named Kage before. "I'm sorry but I must have been drunk since I've never meant anyone named Kage"

"We used an alias that night, you know him better as Brandon. Do you want to show her Kage or should we let the hoe think about it for a while?" My mind was blanking on this Brandon guy but Ren had plenty of friends who came around to the house. "Why did she call you a garden tool (Y/n)?" It was a risk to tell the man about the meaning behind that word but it's not like he was going to attack the girl so I started to tell him.

"It's not in reference to that it's short for whore Kato" Surprisingly the man didn't at all respond like I expected him to but that last thing caused my face to go bright red. "I think she needs to read a dictionary since it's rather difficult for a virgin to be a prostitute" Ren's laughter started to fill my eardrums though I couldn't find the courage to reply. "Hahahaha. Oh, my fuck I can't with this guy! Come on Kage let's hurry up so we can finish making that cake together"

After a few moments of silence, Kato began to poke up my cheek though I still didn't give him an answer. "Did I upset you (Y/n)? I-I didn't mean to assume your sexual status. Please don't be mad at me" Kato did nothing wrong though I wish he didn't get so technically with that word. "It's alright Kato. Maybe when we get back, we can steal some of Ren's cake~ Hehehe"

"Their closing in on this location Ren. (Y/n)'s presence is drawing them in from all sides. A fight will break out before we reach the edge of the forest" This was serious though Ren didn't look too concerned over the news. "Well, I guess we have no choice but to fight if they show their ugly faces. How far are we from the edge?"

"Ten minutes and the enemy is two minutes out" I couldn't hear anyone approaching but Ren was already taking out something from the bag she was carrying. A flare gun? "Prepare for battle!" As she shouted out, I watched a flare shoot into the air though I figured it didn't matter since the enemy already knew our location. "Kato put my sister down and get ready to kill anything that comes at you!"

He was reluctant to release me from his hold though, in the end, I think he realized it was better to fight with both his hands-free. "Stay close (Y/n) I don't want you to get hurt" We still needed to continue towards the forest edge though without Kato carrying me it was going slower than before.

"Cititor~ Cititor~ Ieși cititor~ Joacă-te cu noi. Nu mușcăm... greu~"

I didn't recognize that language though it made the girl ahead of me pause before Kage handed her a weapon. "Did you hear that Ren?" Kato had picked up on the voices as well since both of his hands rested against the handle of his rapier. Ren had ordered us not to move and I had been scanning the tree lining when I locked eyes with someone's red ones.

"Poftim! Cititor apreciat~ Noi vrem~ Atac~ Atac~ Atac~ Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Everything had happened so quickly and it wasn't until Ren started to yell did, I snap out of my trance. "Damn it! Hey, get your ugly ass off of him!" One of these red-eyed creatures had attacked Kato but they looked so human-like. "Îți voi vărsa sângele! Părăsiți acest loc!" Ren seemed to know the language they were speaking and it caused them to stop their assault.

"W-... We want the gi-girl! She belongs to us!" Their English was rough but their point was made. Kato's blood-stained the creatures' fingertips and I watched in disbelief as those same hands moved before the creature started to lick at it. "Savuros~"

'Bang' 'Bang' 'Bang'

"Damn I really hate these freaks... Who's the guy laying in a pile of his own blood?" I was thankful that he had shown up but now my attention could turn back to my injured Kato. "TJ there are you! What took you so long!? I was this close to becoming someone's dinner!" There was no time to listen to Ren and TJ argue my Kato was bleeding way too much. "Make yourselves useful before Kato bleeds to death!"

"Relax my little one he'll be just fine~ Let's get him back to the house where he can heal. He's going to be just fine (Y/n) come on before the others show up. That race doesn't take kindly to their own blood being spilled" My mother's words didn't help much though the bastard Frank was already carrying Kato away so I had no choice but to follow after him.

'Please don't die Kato. I need you here with me'

Charlotte Kato x Reader {I Need You} Ch 6

A Few Hours Later...

(Y/n)'s Pov

"Hehehe. Kato stop~ We should really get back to the house. My mom is going to kill me for this I've never broken curfew before" We had gotten a little carried away during our time together though now that I had come back to my senses, I knew that we needed to get back. "You're no fun (Y/n) but if you insist, I suppose we can leave. Are you still cold or did my cape keep you warm?"

"I forgot about that... No, I'm not cold Kato but when we get back, I'd like to have a nice long soak in the tub" I was still sitting in the man's lap though he could just carry me back to the house since it was his idea to stay out here past curfew. "Heheh. You're cute (Y/n)~ Do you want me to carry you?"

'Snap'

As the male drew his weapon, I tried to assure him that everything was okay though in my head I started to wonder what kind of animal was nearby. "Calm down Kato it was probably just an animal stepping on a branch" He never lowed the sword but we did move off of the ground as my arms wrapped around his neck. "Which path do we take (Y/n)? I don't remember there being three"

"Hmm, let's take the one in the middle. If it's the wrong path then we'll just have to come back and try another way" These woods were always strange though I thought for sure I had only noticed one path but with Kato distracting me the other two could have been overlooked. "Alright, just wait a little longer (Y/n) and I'll make sure we make it out of these woods alive"

"Don't make it sound like something is going to attack us Kato" There are plenty of animals within these woods but as long as we didn't bother them then we'd be alright. Kato still didn't lower his weapon though the man was free to do as he liked. "(Y/n) may I ask what happened to your father? I don't mean to bring up bad memories but you're in pain and I want to understand why that is"

Flashback...

Halloween night was in a couple of days though right now I got to carve the pumpkin that I had picked out last weekend. My dad was beside me but my eyes kept shifted to the large kitchen knife that rested a few feet away from me. "I want to use the big knife this year Daddy! Mommy said it was okay as long as I'm careful"

"The big knife? Oh, I'm not sure my little one. You could cut off a finger and your Mother wouldn't be very happy about that" I was a stubborn child so without wasting any time I gave him my puppy dog eyes before I started to reply. "B-But Daddy pleaseeeeee I'll be super careful" This usually got my dad to agree to anything and as his head tilted to the left, I knew he was about to give in.

"I suppose but I'll be helping you. How about you start tracing out a design then we'll start carving?" As I nodded my head, I grabbed a nearby marker and began to think about what kind of face my little pumpkin should have though I took notice that my dad had left the room. "Luna, you need to stop worrying (Y/n) will be fine. Come along we'll talk outside where no one will hear us"

'Crunch' 'Crunch' 'Crunch'

When the sound of someone chewing reached my ears I slowly turned to the side until I noticed the girl eating handfuls of cereal straight out of the box. "Big Sis! W-What are you doings?" She still said certain words wrong but my sister was only three so it was normal according to my mother. "Hello, Yuki I'm getting ready to carve my pumpkin with Daddy. What are you doing?"

"Eating cereal. You want some?" She held out her hand to me but I quickly declined since this girl liked to touch everything and some stuff was really gross. "No, thank you" It didn't take Yuki long to leave the room after that though my dad was taking a while to return so I got up to look for him.

"William take this matter seriously! There are dark forces at play here and you don't seem to care!" I could hear my mother yelling on the front porch but I didn't know why she sounded so upset. "Relax Luna it's fine. They can't touch (Y/n) until her eighteenth birthday and I'm sure by then you'll find a solution to protect her. What's the saying again? Oh, good always prevails against evil! Hahaha. Now if you'll excuse me, Luna, I have a pumpkin to carve with our little girl"

Since my dad was going to be coming back inside, I ran back into the kitchen and picked up my marker before he walked in. "Looks good my little one... Hey, (Y/n) do you know what a legacy is?" When he took a seat beside me, I thought over his question though I didn't know what that last word meant. "No, what is a legacy Daddy?"

"Well, it's something that a parent will leave behind to their children when they are no longer here... I want you to take this pendant (Y/n) it will keep you safe but you must keep it hidden from your mother. Wear it around your neck after I'm gone and never take it off. Do you understand (Y/n)?" It didn't seem right that I needed to keep this pendant hidden from my mother though as the jewelry was placed around my neck, I moved it underneath my shirt.

"Okay, Daddy I promise. Can we carve my pumpkin now?" I had been waiting all week for this day and I found it hard to wait any longer. "Sure, why don't we move to the backstep? We'll have more space out there" As my dad started to walk away, I picked up my pumpkin to follow him though before I could even make it to the door my feet tripped over something. I was being careful but I must have missed the object on the ground.

"Are you alright (Y/n)?" As my eyes connected with the damaged pumpkin in front of me, I felt like crying though before I could let them fall my dad picked me up off the floor. "Shhhh~ It's alright (Y/n) I'll buy you another. There's a farm just down the road and I'll be back before you know it"

It was my fault that the pumpkin was destroyed but my dad didn't look like he minded going down the street to buy me another. "You promise you'll be right back?" As he placed me back onto my feet the man rose to his full height before a frown appeared on his face. "I'll be back before you know it (Y/n)"

Present...

"(Y/n) I'm so sorry I didn't mean to make you cry. W-We don't need to talk about him. L-Let's talk about the sky instead. It's beautiful, isn't it? I've never seen a night's sky with such unique colors before" His fingers were trying to wipe away my tears though in the end he just pulled me into a hug. "I don't think this path is leading us home (Y/n). Should we turn around?.... (Y/n)?... Let's just sit here for a minute until you calm down"

'Sniff' 'Sniff' 'Sniff'

"He never promised me Kato" It was a hard pill to swallow though maybe dropping that pumpkin wasn't my fault after all. I needed someone to blame that day and the only person I could find was myself. "He never promised you what (Y/n)?" As my eyes remained locked on the tree branch behind the man I slowly started to speak.

"W-When my D-D-Dad left that day he never promised that he'd come back to me!"

Kato's Pov

It was a rare thing for a Charlotte to have a deep personal connection with their Father but I could only assume that (Y/n) cared as much for hers as we children cared for Mama. "Shhhhh~ It's alright (Y/n) I'll take you home where you'll be safe. I promise never to leave you alone" My words must have reached her delicate ears since her arms tightened around my neck though besides that (Y/n) never spoke a single word.

'Snap' 'Snap' 'Snap'

That snapping sound was really starting to grow annoying though usually, animals kept away from humans. Though the sound was getting closer to us and if it kept up the pace it was going, we'd run into it soon enough. "What kind of animals reside in these woods (Y/n)?"

"D-Don't ask me... I-Is something f-following us Kato?" I didn't want to stress out the girl any more than she already was but it wouldn't reflect well onto me if I were to lie to her. "That snapping sound is getting closer (Y/n) but let's get hope it's only a small raccoon or deer. We'll have to continue on this path though don't worry since I'll keep you safe my Pumpkin Queen"

It was a risk calling her that but the girl didn't complain about it so I continued to walk as my head nuzzled against the top of hers. I would have liked to rub my hand along her back though my right hand was occupied by that of my rapier. "Y-You promise?" She was still in tears but I was glad the girl could at least reply with the few words she did. "I promise (Y/n) and I'll never break a single promise that I make to you. I love you after all"

Those words felt so foreign to me but they spilled from my mouth like second nature before (Y/n) turned her head to face me. "S-Say it again. I couldn't h-hear you" The blush present along the girl's cheeks told me otherwise though I quickly start to repeat what I had said before. "I promise-"

(Y/n) must have been feeling better since had she interrupted me just as I had begun to speak. "No, Kato. I want you to say the other thing" Sure, there have been a few girls in the past that I've told these words too though (Y/n) was the only one that's ever reacted in such a way to hearing them. My brothers would often pay off some unsuspecting female to spend the night with me but they never stayed longer than a week or two.

This girl currently resting within my grip was truly something special and maybe she would turn out to be the one that would always be by my side until the end. "Oh, I love you (Y/n). Hehehehe. Will, you do me the honor of becoming my Pumpkin Queen until the day we part? Our marriages are usually arranged by Mama but no one will ever hold a candle to you, my Queen. What is the saying again (Y/n)? Oh, I remember now! If your heart is ugly then the rest of you is to but your heart is the prettiest, I've ever encountered and I won't be letting it go so easily. Hehehehe"

"Was that a marriage proposal Kato?" (Y/n) looked very similar to a strawberry right now and the moonlight reflected against her skin so perfectly that it almost made it look like she was glowing. "Yes, did I confuse you (Y/n)? I'm sorry but romance isn't my specialty" There were a few things that Charlotte's didn't know and love was a difficult concept for a child to learn when you were nothing more than a pawn in the grand scheme of your mother's twisted reality.

I didn't mind being someone's pawn but I still desired that connected with another person that so many others outside of my family had. (Y/n) was going to be my person that loves more than anything and I'd do anything to ensure that she remains at my side. Whether that be betraying my family or slaughtering anyone that tries to bring her harm. At the end of the day, she was going to be the Queen of Tanega Island. "I-I just wanted to make sure that's what it was"

"So, will you marry me (Y/n)? I know you were joking about it at the campfire earlier though I'd like a yes or no" My feet had stopped moving a few moments ago though when I felt something soft against my cheek I realized (Y/n) had kissed me. "Of course, I'll marry you, Kato. Hehehe. I love you too and just so you know you were my first kiss"

As my eyes remained fixed on my Mother's form, I completely forgot about the marshmallow that I had been trying to roast. It wasn't until Kato spoke up from behind me and pulled it from the fire did, I realize my mistake. "(Y/n) your marshmallow is on fire... It's a little burnt but I'll eat it if you don't want it" I had taken notice that this man seemed to love burnt marshmallows so I let him take it.

"Mother, are you going to explain yourself?" She had been sitting over there just roasting hot dogs for the last 15 minutes now but I really wanted to hear her explanation. "There's no need to rush things (Y/n) though I suppose if you're this impatient I could begin... Ren dear there's no need to glare at our guest please put your knife away" How in the hell did I miss the fact that Ren had that stupid little pocket knife of hers out? "I really want to carve a pumpkin Mum~ Why can't I play around with this one?"

"Now, now Ren let's not upset your sister though (Y/n) you know there's a perfectly good spot right next to you. There's no need to sit on Kato's lap. Hehehe" This lady was beginning to get on my nerves though I let it slide while I leaned farther back against Kato. "He's keeping me safe from you evil people" My reply was straightforward and before anyone could respond I stabbed yet another fluffy marshmallow onto the stick within my hands.

"I have a question!... Why is a person from a fictional world here? It doesn't make much sense to me" Once Yuki had spoken up, I turned my focus away from my marshmallow though I felt Kato take away my stick when he noticed my attention had shifted.

"The barrier between the multiple realms is at its weakest point during October. He must have fallen through a portal though he's, unfortunately, going to be stuck here until Halloween night since the power required to travel between the realms is far greater than my own ability... (Y/n) will be able to break the barrier during that night but it's a one-way trip so if he leaves this world than she'll have to go with him. Does anyone want some hot cocoa?"

"(Y/n) can't leave! She's my favorite sister!" As Yuki proceeded to yell at our Mother something crispy was pressed to my lips though when I realized it was a marshmallow, I allowed Kato to slip it past my lips. "It's (Y/n)'s decision to make Yuki... Ren, will you help me with the cocoa?" When my Step Sister stood up to follow behind my Mother, I caught a trace of a frown though it disappeared before I could think any more about it.

"Is that the only way to send Kato back to his own world Mother?" It didn't seem right that there was only one way to send the man home but as her body stopped, I got a surprising answer. "The only other option would be a human sacrifice and I highly doubt that's something you'd want to do... Come along Ren" Once she had finally disappeared into the house, I started to think over what she had said before. "Kato... did my Mother just suggest that I was a witch?"

Nothing was making sense to me at the moment though as her words repeated back in my mind, I didn't see any responsible explanation for my Mother's word choice. "You don't look like a witch (Y/n)" As my head tilted back, I locked eyes with Kato though I couldn't tell what he was thinking. "Would you hate me if I didn't send you back?"

If what my Mother said had any truth then I had to go with Kato in order for him to go home though could I really just abandon my whole life like that. "No, but if you go with me then I promise to protect you no matter what and I'll even make you my wife"

"No! You can't marry my sister you stupid pumpkin creep!" Alright, Yuki was going to get herself killed if she didn't sit down but it was almost enjoyable to watch the girl threaten Kato. "Hm, and why can't I marry her?" Hehehe. This was going to be quite the argument though first Yuki actually had to find the courage to speak again.

"W-Well..." Seeing my little sister avoid making any unnecessary eye contact with Kato was quite the sight to see though I decided to tease her a bit. "Hehehe. How many kids should we have my Pumpkin King?" Alright, Yuki might have been having a mini heart attack over there but I didn't care. "At least one though Mama will probably expect more than that... I hope she likes you (Y/n) since if she doesn't, we'll need to leave the family and go into hiding"

That came across almost like a lie since I knew how much Kato respected his Mother but his tone told me just how serious he was. "Awe, that's quite the claim but if you're willing to do that for me then let's do it. We leave Halloween night~" Yuki wasn't happy and her dismay was clearly written on her face. "Mom! Please talk some sense into (Y/n)!"

"Yuki dear stop yelling. Like I said it's (Y/n)'s choice to make and I think she's already decided what's going to happen on Halloween night. Isn't that right (Y/n)?" When the mug was held out in front of me, I took it though Yuki still didn't stop her complaining. "But Mom! You can't let this thing marry (Y/n)!" I could feel Kato's arm start to tighten around me as he thanked my Mother for the cocoa but I never told him to stop. He wasn't hurting me and I knew the man just was being protective over me.

"And why is that Yuki?" My mother was waiting for the girl to reply though Yuki never did instead she retreated into the house. "You should talk to her later (Y/n). So, are your plans set in stone? If they are, you'll need to master the correct spell before Halloween night... Oh, and I don't think that I have properly myself yet. My name is Luna Rue or since in your world last names go first, I guess I'd be considered Rue Luna. It's a true pleasure to finally make your acquaintance... though if you harm my precious (Y/n)-kins I'll murder you without a second thought. Alright, let's go back to having fun!"

"Mother don't say that! Why the hell does everyone in this house keep threatening to murder Kato!? There's going to be a war breaking out within the week if this keeps happening!" Since I didn't want to spill my hot cocoa I needed to calm down. "I'm going for a walk! Let's go, Kato!" I've had enough with dealing with stupid people today and I needed some fresh air. "Remember to be back before ten. The woods are dangerous at night"

"Whatever!" I might have been acting like an angry little ball of rage right now but I had every right to do so. "Should I bring these marshmallows with us (Y/n)?" My man was as smart as he was handsome. "Good idea Kato" I didn't wait for him though I knew thanks to his long legs he would easily be able to catch up. "Where are we going (Y/n)?"

"For a walk in the forest. That's okay with you, right?" The man replied quite quickly to my question but I had been drinking some cocoa so I couldn't respond right away. "Sure, (Y/n) walking in the forest sounds lovely. Just watch your step I wouldn't want you to trip and hurt yourself"

"Awe, thanks for worrying about me Kato" My Mother's hot cocoa was never scolding hot so I could drink it fine without worrying about burning my taste buds. "This hot cocoa is rather good (Y/n). How long are we planning on staying out here for?" Kato's tone didn't suggest that he was in a rush to go back to the house though I couldn't determine what this man was thinking half of the time. "I'll stay out here until I become less mad at my family"

"When your Mother said to be back by ten and that the woods are dangerous at night what exactly did, she mean?" That was an interesting question but it probably was due to wild animals or something. Hehehe. Or maybe even some supernatural bullshit it really was anyone's guess at this point. "Hm? I'm not completely sure she's never really given me a proper answer. Maybe we'll run into the wolfman or a ghost. Hehehe"

"I thought I saw a ghost once but it only turned out to be Brûlée walking around the house in the middle of the night" Why didn't that surprise me? "Poor Kato~ Don't worry if we run into a ghost, I'll protect us" It was a bold claim though I was sure that if we really did encounter a ghost, I might have to leave Kato behind and save myself.

"What time is it now (Y/n)?" Since I was wearing my wristwatch I quickly checked it and gave him a reply. "It's 7:30. Hm, I didn't think it was that late but I guess we were late for the bonfire. Whatever we still have plenty of time before we need to be back. Let's go on a little adventure just me and you!"

Since I was still holding my half-full cup of cocoa, I needed to go slow so it wouldn't spill. "Lead the way (Y/n)" Once a smile had taken over my lips, I finished my mug before I placed it down on the ground where I would be able to find it later. "If you're done you can leave the mug next to mine. We'll find them on the way back since it will be annoying to carry them the whole way"

"Are you sure that we'll able to find them? It's already getting dark out" Kato did make a good point though I'm sure that everything will work out just fine for us. "Relax Kato even if we do lose them my Mother got them from Walmart for like 50 cents so it's not a huge loss"

"How much is 50 cents (Y/n)?" Right, Kato's world used Beri as a currency while we used dollars and cents. "I believe it's 50 Beri but don't quote me on that estimate" I remember reading that the One Piece Beri was the equivalent to our worlds Yen so my estimate was most likely correct. "That's not very expensive at all... (Y/n) can I ask you something about what you said earlier?"

"Sure, you can ask me whatever you want but I want to be carried through the woods" I was surprised when Kato gave in to my demand though it didn't stop me from wrapping my arms around his neck. "Are you serious about giving up everything that you have here? Your entire family is here and you'll be alone in my world"

"Nah, I'll have you Kato so I won't be alone at all. You need me, don't you?" We were losing the daylight but I could still see the way Kato's smile started to widen before he turned towards me. "I do need you (Y/n). Hehehe. You're blushing~ Let me kiss you again (Y/n)" That was a bold demand on Kato's part though I gave into him since I liked this pumpkin.

I had originally thought that he would only kiss me once before pulling away but nope this man was going all-in with this little make-out session. As my mind began to wander, I was starting to wonder if Kato had kissed a girl before or even been intimate with someone else. He was 28 years old so for him to be a virgin it would be odd though there was no way in hell that I would be asking him that question.

Our session had lasted a while and I guess at some point Kato had taken to sitting underneath a tree but I was starting to grow cold. "I'm cold... Maybe we should go back"

"Here take my cape but let's stay out here for a little longer. The stars in your world are simply breathtaking and there so bright. I can hardly see the stars on my island due to the cloud coverage though I want to enjoy the view while I still can" It was a good thing that he was cute since I was only willing to freeze my butt off for certain people and this man in front of me happened to be one of them.

Kato's Pov

(Y/n) had been asleep for some time now and her bratty little sister had brought me something to eat earlier though I was growing bored of watching her sleep. "Maybe she wouldn't mind if I woke her up... (Y/n)?... (Y/n)?... Come on wake up you've been asleep for two hours now~" Since the girl was sleeping against my chest, I had a perfect view of her sleeping face and as (Y/n) started to stir I waited patiently for her eyes to open.

'Yawnnnnn'

"Five more minutes Mom~ I..." As (Y/n) returned to her peaceful slumber I could only laugh before I shifted into a sitting position and let her slide into my lap. The girl was a tiny little thing but she fit perfectly against me almost like she could have been my missing puzzle piece. "It's time to get up (Y/n)~" When my tongue glided across her cheek she didn't awake but when I blew into her ear it seemed to do the trick. "What the hell!? Who did that!?... Oh, Kato, it's only you. Why did you wake me up? I was having such a nice dream and you interrupted it"

"I'm sorry (Y/n) but there's nothing to do and you've been asleep for two hours. Can we play a game together?" When the girl removed herself from my lap, I immediately started to crave her touch but I didn't move from my spot as I watched her pull this large bin out of the closet. "Do you want to play cards with me? I like playing Crazy Eights and Go Fish but if you don't like cards, I can find something else" That smile (Y/n) had on her lips made my own widen before I started nodding my head and pat the spot in front of me.

When she sat in front of me, I took the deck from her hands before I started to shuffle them. "Do you know how to play poker (Y/n)?" Her response was almost immediate though when a frown graced the girls' lips, I grew concerned. "No, is it difficult?" As I started to explain the rules of the game (Y/n) took in the information like a sponge and once her smile had returned to her face my nerves started to relax. "Are we playing strip poker or just regular poker? My friends say that strip poker is the only way they play the game but what do you think Kato?"

"Strip poker?... Sure, we can play that if you want to (Y/n). Did you want to put on some more clothing or are you fine in that outfit?" When she declined the chance to put on more layers, I started dealing out our cards though I knew that (Y/n) wasn't wearing much so this game would most likely end quickly. "Good luck Kato"

"Sorry (Y/n) but I won again... Though you're running out of clothing so maybe we should play something else. We can play Go Fish or Crazy Eights next if you'd like" I'm not sure if Kato was just trying to be nice to me or if he wasn't interested in the game anymore but I was glad I could keep the rest of my clothing. "Let's play Crazy Eights and Kato just so you know I'm not giving you back your cape. It's mine now~" As I wrapped his warm cape around my body, I stuck my tongue at him though Kato made no attempt to take it from me. "You can put your clothes back on now (Y/n)... though I do need to use the restroom. Is there one close by?"

"Oh, it's right over there. I'm one of the few kids that gets their own private bathroom. Take as much time as you need Kato and I'm sorry about the ceilings but there's little I can do about them" Since my ceilings were roughly only eight feet tall and this man was around eleven feet tall, he almost needed to crawl to avoid hitting his head. "It's alright (Y/n) I'll manage" As he disappeared into the restroom, I quickly fixed my clothing before I started to deal out the cards for our game. "How many cards do we start with again?... Oh, right we each get five to start"

'Knock' 'Knock' 'Knock'

"(Y/n) do you have any laundry that you'd like washed!? I'm doing a few loads before dinner so speak up now!" Thankfully Kato was still in the restroom but my Mother nearly gave me a heart attack. "One second! What are we having for dinner!?" As I gathered the clothing that was spread out across my floor and placed it into the basket, I finally found anything before I headed for the door.

"Thank you, sweetheart. Oh, we're having a little campfire in the backyard tonight so we'll be roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. I was going to make chicken but at the last minute, I didn't feel like cooking. Will your boyfriend be joining us?" I had thought she was just joking around with me so I quickly replied though there was something I didn't like about her grin.

"What are you talking about Mother? I don't have a boyfriend and even if I did, I wouldn't be letting him come anywhere near you crazy people" That sentence wasn't a complete lie though as her finger pointed to my bathroom I started to panic.

"You should really learn to lie better (Y/n). I expect to see this mystery man of yours later tonight at our campfire. Oh, and (Y/n) you shouldn't be playing strip poker alone with him since that will only lead to tension in your relationship. I'm going to start the wash though please be outside around six o'clock. Hehehe. That's a nice cape by the way~"

As I opened my mouth to reply to her, I couldn't come up with a good enough excuse, and really at this point, she wasn't going to believe anything other than the fact that I had a boy in my room. "I really don't like you right now Mother"

"Sorry (Y/n) but this is my house and I know everything that occurs in it. Hehehe. Have fun (Y/n) though please keep your clothes on" I could not believe this lady but hopefully she wouldn't be shocked when I brought an eleven-foot-tall human pumpkin to the campfire. As I slammed the bedroom door shut, I saw Kato was just coming out of the restroom though he had this frown gracing his lips.

"Your Mother is quite interesting (Y/n) though I don't see why she referred to me as your boyfriend... Are we going to this campfire together?" He was sitting on the floor just beside my bed though he seemed to be nervous based on the way he was playing with his hands. "Unfortunately, I have no choice but to bring you with me. Have you roasted marshmallows before?"

"Why is it unfortunate that you need to bring with you (Y/n)?" When his frown deepened, I knew that I had upset him though I quickly responded with the reasoning behind my words. "I'd love to roast marshmallows and cuddle with you around a campfire but my family is a little... crazy? Yuki brought this guy over once and he was running for the door after fifteen minutes since Ren tried to shoot him with an arrow. Will you run away if something like that happens tonight?"

"Hehehehe. I highly doubt that this person will even be able to hit me... but no I won't run away (Y/n). My family is just like yours so I'm used to odd things occurring and besides it would be boring if everyone got along. Hehehe. Are we going to continue playing cards or would you like to do something else?"

"Well, I think you need a crash course on the other people that live in this house. TJ might not be here since he went to a friend's house but Ren and Yuki will be there. Since you have already threatened Yuki, she probably won't give you any trouble but Ren, my Mother, and Frank will be the ones to look out for"

"Who's Frank? You don't seem happy with mentioning his name. Has he hurt you? I'll gladly end his life if that's the case" Once I had made myself in Kato's lap, I started to reply to his question though I was slightly worried since this man spoke of murdering someone like it was second nature to him. "You don't need to kill anyone Kato... he's just my Step Father but I refuse to accept that since no one will ever replace my Dad. You might not understand it though please don't hurt anyone"

"As you wish (Y/n)... Will you tell me about this Ren person?" I was thankful that Kato pulled me away from the Frank topic but Ren was still his daughter. "She's my Step Sister and I hate her as well. Though she seems to want to be my friend or something like that but I don't like her personality" Don't get me wrong Ren wasn't a bad person though she just came across as a bitch at times. "You're crying (Y/n)"

"I'm sorry" When his thumb brushed away my tears, I found myself leaning against Kato while he tried his best to help me. "There's no need to be sorry (Y/n) if you need to cry then let it out since it's not healthy to keep your emotions to yourself. You still look cute even with tears staining your cheeks~"

"They're all down there waiting, Kato... I really don't want to go" As Yuki's head turned towards my window, I could see she had started to wave though it only caused me to throw the curtains closed. "We don't have to go down there if your uncomfortable (Y/n)"

"No, that's not an option Kato since my Mother would only come up here and drag me downstairs by my ear... We can do this everything will work out just fine. Come on before I somehow chicken out and remember to watch your head" As I wrapped Kato's cape tightly around myself, I made sure that it wasn't dragging on the ground before I pulled open my bedroom door.

"Be careful not to trip over my cape (Y/n) I don't want you to get hurt" With Kato following close behind I started down the steps though when I seen Yuki walking out of the kitchen I froze. "W-What are you doing (Y/n)!? Mom's going to freak out if she sees him. He needs to stay in your room where no one will be able to find him"

"She told me to bring my boyfriend to the campfire... and she already knew I had a boy in my room so I have no other choice but to comply with her demands" There was no backing out of this now but as I stood by the sliding door, I became a little afraid that someone would try and hurt Kato.

"Kato... If someone attacks you feel free to defend yourself but please don't kill anyone. Do you want to hold my hand?" I had held my hand up towards him though when he instead picked me up, I freaked out a little bit since I didn't expect it. "Calm down (Y/n) everything will be fine" As soon as we exited the house all eyes were on us but at that point, I was trying to cover myself with Kato's cape so no one could see.

"What in the fuck that ugly thing!? Dad do something!"

"No one here is going to harm (Y/n)'s boyfriend. Franklin, would you please go get the graham crackers for me? I forgot them in the kitchen... (Y/n) are you going to introduce your male friend here or perhaps would you like to explain why he's even here, to begin with?" My Mother was surprisingly calm about the whole situation and I didn't understand why. "This is Kato... Why do you seem so calm about this Mother?"

"Hm? Oh, this isn't my first encounter with a person from another world but he's definitely the most unique looking one. Did you find him at the pumpkin patch this morning?" As soon as I heard those words leave my Mother's mouth, I turned my head towards her though that smirk on her lips said it all. "You knew this whole time!?"

A/n: Alright I have put my detective skills to work and at first thought, Kato was around 7'7" but now that I've seen that he was slightly taller than Perospero when they stood next to each other on Big Mom's ship that estimate is not correct. So, I believe we can now assume he is over 10'11" in height since that is how tall Perospero is.

Before I could even finish taking my first step into the house my mother had already started to speak to me from another room. "Oh, (Y/n) dear do you mind coming in here for a second?" Sometimes I thought this woman was just trying to annoy me on purpose but then again, she was my parent so it was kind of her job. "Yeah, one sec just let me take my boots off!" I didn't want to keep my Mother waiting long since it was always a guessing game with her trying to figure out what she could want with you. "Take a seat (Y/n) I'll make this quick I promise"

When my eyes locked onto the yellow fruit and kitchen knife sitting on the coffee table my mind started to regret even coming back inside the house. "What's the lemon for Mother... are we making lemonade?" As the older lady shook her head, she picked up the usually large knife and held it tightly. "No, (Y/n) we're not making lemonade though I can see about making you a glass later if you'd like" Alright I might have been overreacting but my brain was starting to think my own Mother was about to kill me. "T-Then why do you have a lemon and a knife?"

"Well, (Y/n) it has come to my attention that I need to make sure you are prepared for the big scary world out there that awaits you. We're going to have the talk together since I have neglected to educate you about how to handle when a guy asks to become intimate with you" I think my soul officially left my body after those last few words exited her mouth but it wasn't like I could just run out of the room now. When my eyes locked on the man that was now sitting on my bed, I had to stop myself from screaming like the fangirl I was but somehow, I managed to contain my excitement. "Yeah, the ceilings in my world aren't that high since no one has ever been over nine feet tall. We're all short here but you know something? I didn't think you were this tall. Your height was never listed on your wiki page so I just thought that you were a little bit taller than Pedro. Are you hungry? I can sneak you up some food if you are but it won't be much"

"You know about Pedro... do you like him as well?" As I thought over his question, I picked myself off of the ground before I moved to sit beside him. "Nah, I'm not into Minks I prefer that my men be at least half-human. Why do you ask Kato? Hehehe. You're not jealous, right?"

"Hm, it doesn't matter much anymore since my older brother killed that Mink... I hope they're all okay we were heading to Wano Country but then King attacked our ship and sent some of us overboard in the process. I'm not sure what happened though once I went under the waves something hit my head causing me to blackout. I found myself in that corn maze after I had regained consciousness but thankfully you brought me home with you. Thank you again (Y/n). I'll forever be in your debt so if you need anything just ask and I'll do the best I can to make it happen"

"Oh, Big Mom's fine. She and Kaido were making an alliance or something of that nature" It was difficult to figure what emotion Kato was feeling though based on his smile I figured that he must have been happy to hear the good news. "Thank you for telling me about Mama... I am a little hungry but please don't feel like you need to keep me fed"

"It's no trouble Kato you're my house guest after all and I can't let my Pumpkin King starve~ Just wait here... are there any foods you don't like or can I bring you what I can find?" As I stood up from the bed, I waited in front of him though it didn't take Kato long to answer. "I'll eat whatever you bring me... but could you perhaps bring me something sweet?"

"Hehehe. I'll see what I can do~ Stay out of trouble while I'm gone my adorable little pumpkin man~" Sure, many people didn't think very highly of Kato though it was their loss and it only meant I could have him all to myself. I know in my world I would have gladly asked you to marry me... that is if Mama approved of you" Alright so I wasn't exactly sure how to respond to Kato's bold claim about possibly marrying me but thankfully my thoughts were put on hold as his hands gripped my shoulders. "What are you doing Ka-thmmm"

As the man continued to ravage my lips with his, my body was moved until it was pressed firmly against him. Though when I felt one of his hands dip down close to my behind I moved my arms back to try and stop him but unfortunately for me, I heard the door opening behind us at the same time. "(Y/n) can you explain th-th-th... W-W-What's going on in here!?" If Yuki continued to yell like this then it was only a matter of time before my mother came upstairs to investigate. "Shhhh! Don't say a word about this to Mom. Kato this is Yuki... Yuki this is Kato and he's officially my houseguest so please keep your mouth shut, alright Sis?"

"H-How in the hell did he even get here? Oh, fuck you're going to be in so much trouble when Mom discovers your keeping a grown Pumpkin Man in your room... Hehehe. I'll keep your secret but in exchange, you'll need to write my history essay for me~" That seemed like an easy task for me though Kato decided to speak up as he drew his weapon.

"Or we could kill you and bury your body in the woods where no one will ever find you"

"Kato! We do not unalive people in this world so put your sword away and apologize to my little sister right this second" I tried my best to keep my voice down low though I still managed to get my point across since the man immediately laid his sword behind him as he wrapped his arms around me. "I'm sorry (Y/n) please don't be mad at me"

"T-The Pumpkin man wa-wants me dead... I-I'll keep your secret but please keep him away from me... C-Can I get you anything, Mr. Charlotte?" Poor little Yuki looked terrified at the moment though at least now I wouldn't need to write her history essay, "Find me something to eat. I don't want (Y/n) to leave the room unless she has to" As I was pulled closer to Kato's chest, I tilted my head back and showed him a smile. "You're adorable Kato~"

"(Y/n) that man is twenty-eight and you shouldn't be making out with him in your bedroom" When I turned back to look at Yuki, I started to think over what she had said though age was just a number to me. "It's fine Yuki. Now go find Kato something to eat before you make him mad" As the man in question laughter started to fill the room Yuki's face was starting to look a little pale but she had already left the room before I could say another word.

"Do you think she'll tell on us (Y/n) and why did she bring up my age?" I knew exactly why Yuki had brought up his age though it would matter much in a few weeks since I turned eighteen on Halloween night. "Well, I am seventeen so she's probably just questioning why someone eleven years old than me is kissing her older sister. My birthday is on October 31st... is my age a problem for you?"

"Hm, that's not much of an age gap (Y/n). If I'm not mistaken Praline's husband is seventeen years old than she is but we're not allowed to speak about her anymore. Do people from this world look down upon relationships with such age gaps?" As I responded to his question, I removed myself from his lap before I flopped down on my bed right beside where he was sitting. "It's more common than you'd think but Yuki is just weird so try your best to ignore her. What do you want to do with the rest of our day Kato?"

"Can I cuddle with you (Y/n)? I don't get that much attention from others because of my appearance but you seem to like me enough" As my head tilted over at him, I held out a hand before I locked it around his. "Hehehe. Sure, Kato, I'd love to cuddle with you though I think I'll have a nap while you're doing that~"

Kato's Pov

When the young girl didn't reply to my initial attempt to speak to her, I tried again but this time I spoke louder. "Did you hear me (Y/n)? I said your Father's death wasn't your fault" There was something special about this girl and I had felt the need to comfort her but I also didn't appreciate her tears pouring down against my skin. "W-Who said that?" I could hear the fear laced within her voice though in a way it was almost cute. "Down here (Y/n) and please stop crying on me" At first the girl didn't move an inch though she was most likely just scared. "T-The pumpkin?... W-What are you talking about?"

"Yes, the pumpkin, or I believe you know me better as Kato. Please turn me around (Y/n)" I had been stuck in that maze for days now while I tried to gain the attention of anyone that would listen but no one had been able to understand me except (Y/n). "K-Kato? T-That's impossible he's just a-a-a-ahhhhh!" Alright, so I didn't fully think this plan through very much since as soon as (Y/n) seen my face she threw me out of her lap. After I had heard the girl speak so highly of me to her little sister, I would have figured she would have been thrilled to find out my true identity but the reaction she showed me was not the one I expected at all.

"W-What the hell are you!?"

"My name is Charlotte Kato and I'm not sure how I ended up as a pumpkin. Though you're the only person that has been to be able to see my face as well as understand what I'm saying. I need your help (Y/n) maybe if I can get back to Mama then she can do something about this" As I watched her wipe away the last remaining tears, she started to crawl over towards me. "You're really him?... I hate to be the one to tell you this Kato but you're nowhere near Whole Cake Island and this isn't even your world. In this world, you're only a character from an anime so I'm not sure how I would even be able to help you. I'm sorr- Wait just a second did you lick me earlier!?"

"Your hand was covering my mouth (Y/n) though you didn't taste very good" When the girl started to glare at me, I realized that probably wasn't the response she wanted to hear but at least it was the truth. "Come along my little Kato let's get going so we can find out how to break this curse you're under"

A Few Hours Later...

(Y/n)'s Pov

"Is something wrong (Y/n)? You look like you're about to cry and I don't like it" As my eyes shifted over to the pumpkin that sat at the end of my bed, I let out a sign before I replied to it. "I don't have a pumpkin to carve for Halloween anymore. My Mom said she wouldn't buy me another one since I already got you"

"Don't you have the Beri to buy your own?" When I shook my head at Kato, I moved to be closer to him though his facial expression didn't show much. "So, my little orange friend have you thought about how we could break this curse of yours? I'm assuming it's a curse unless you have reason to believe it's something else"

"Well, I've read quite of fables over the years, and usually true loves first kiss does the trick to break a curse though I highly doubt you love me so we'll have to cross that idea off of the list. Do you have any ideas (Y/n)?... Why are you blushing?" As I tried to cover my cheeks from the man's view, I sat up on the bed and held my hands to my face. "H-How do you know that I d-don't love you?"

"Hm, I've never met you before (Y/n) though you seem to know a lot about me. You mentioned that I was an anime character in this world can you please explain that a little bit more to me? I don't understand what you meant by it. Also, your sister is rather rude" When I uncovered my cheeks, I briefly looked over at the mirror to double-check that there was no longer bright red though once I confirmed they were back to normal I turned to Kato.

"Well, an anime is like a tv show that we watch for entertainment here. Though I'll admit there's not much information available about you and you're only in a few episodes sadly but I really like you. Hehehe. I guess I have a special place in my heart for the unappreciated characters. Oh, that reminds me I even draw some fan art of you. Would you like to see it? I'm not the best artist in the world but I think it turned out quite good"

"You drew a picture of me? Hmm, I've never had someone freely draw me before. Sure, I'd love to this drawing of yours (Y/n)" As I went to find the drawing in question, I kept looking over at Kato though maybe it was a hopeless thing to actually think a kiss from my lips would break his curse. "Ah, here it is... What do you think Kato?"

"It's rather well done (Y/n) but why are you drawing pictures of me? I'm not the most attractive male in the world and like your sister said I'm just a pumpkin freak. Why would you even draw someone as ugly as me?" What Kato said had really started to pull at my heartstrings since sure he looked different from the others guys but that didn't make him ugly. "I don't care what you look like on the outside Kato. All that matters to me is what's on the inside. You could be the most attractive person on the planet but if your heart is ugly then the rest of you is to"

"Did you want to kiss me and see if anything happens? I mean it's not going to hurt anything to try it" I thought about the man's question for a second though I slowly started to nod my head as I picked him up within my grip. "Y-Yah, we can try it" My face was probably on fire at the moment but all I had to do was press my lips against his and hope for the best. "(Y/n)! Mom wants you to take the trash ou- What in the hell are you doing to that poor pumpkin?"

I really needed to buy a lock for that door since Yuki clearly didn't know how to knock. "I-I'm just thinking about the design I want to crave into it. Why does Mom want me to take the trash out? I did it yesterday so tell her that TJ has to do it" When Yuki replied back to me, I slowly started to groan as my feet moved onto the ground.

"Yeah, TJ left to his friend's house so you need to do it. I'm sorry Sis I would have done it for you but the doctor doesn't want me to put a lot of pressure on my wrist since the break could worsen" When my eyes drifted to the girl's wrist, I reminded myself that she had strained to during her volleyball game last week. "It's fine Yuki. Tell Mom that I'll be down in a minute I just need to finish up something and please for the love of God learn how to knock"

"Hehehe. It's not like your ever doing anything interesting in here (Y/n)... Unless of course, you have some kind of dirty secret you're attempting to hide from me~" Yuki didn't even wait for a response before she ran out of the room. "That girl is rather annoying but she reminds me of my little sister Flampe. Does she like the sight of blood? Flampe can't stand it though that doesn't stop her cruel ways"

"Blood? Yuki gets hurt all the time but I've never seen her uncomfortable with it. Who's Flampe again? There are so many members of your family that I can't remember you all but I do know a few like Katakuri the really tall guy who loves donuts and tea"

"Hm, don't worry about it (Y/n). Now I believe that you were going to kiss me were you not?" I had almost forgotten about that but since Yuki was gone, I could finish what I started though I was getting slightly nervous about kissing the man. "What's going to happen if this works Kato and you turn back into your human form?" Since this wasn't his world, I couldn't exactly just allow him to leave the house since the government would surely want to experiment on him.

"I haven't thought that far ahead but let's just see if this kiss will even work then we can discuss things afterward" That sounded like a good idea so before I could back out from the plan, I pressed my lips against where his carved smile was located. It was the weirdest feeling in the world to kiss a pumpkin though once I had pulled away, I sat him down and waited a few seconds. "I'm sorry Kato it didn't work... Don't go anywhere I'll be right back"

"It's alright (Y/n) if it makes you feel any better your lips are really soft and I liked the kiss"

"T-Thanks K-Kato... When I-I get back we can think about what we can try next" Before the man could say another word, I had already left the room and started to the kitchen where my mother was waiting. "(Y/n) there you are I was beginning to think that you were going to stay locked in your bedroom all day. The garbage is over by the door I just need you to take it to the end of the driveway"

"First of all, my door does not have a lock on it so it's impossible for me to stay locked in there, and second of all, wasn't it garbage day yesterday?" When my mother turned away from the window, I could see she had fresh tears in her eyes. "No matter how old you get (Y/n) you'll always be my baby girl. I know one day soon you're going to leave this house but I'm afraid you won't even say goodbye to me. Please promise me that when that day comes, you'll at least let me see you off"

"What makes you so sure that I'm going to leave this house? I hadn't even decided on the college I want to attend yet and my grades aren't exactly anything special" My Mother only shook her head before she started to walk past me though I did manage to hear her whisper something under her breath. "We don't meet people by accident. They are meant to cross our paths for a reason"

As I thought about what my Mother could have meant I made my way over to the front door before I grabbed the trash bags and headed outside. Thankfully there were only two bags but they weighed quite a bit. "What the hell could she have thrown away? Garbage day was yesterday so there shouldn't be this much trash... Oh, it's the big garbage pickup week isn't it?" As I continued on down the driveway, I finally made it to the end though based on the dark clouds that were approaching from the east I knew it was going to rain soon.

"I should hurry back to the house before the rain starts... though then again it wouldn't be so bad if I did stay out here for a while. Hm, I wonder if Kato would like to join me?" Since we lived in the middle of nowhere, we had this long dirt driveway but I liked the fact that we didn't have any neighbors for miles. "I'll go see if my Pumpkin King wants to play outside with me~ Hehehe"
