How strange is a man? While making du'aa he thinks Allāh is near and close-by, yet when committing sins, he thinks Allāh is distant and far.

Ibn Al Qayyim رحمه الله:

"Indeed the Believer who has reliance upon Allāh, if the creation plot against him, Allāh plots for him on his behalf and brings about victory for him, without any effort or strength from himself."
