Mauro Ranallo stood in the ring, at the head of the table, as Syn and Paul Heyman sat on one side of the table, and Harold Meji and Okada sat on the other. Both of the men’s titles sat on the table, despite the fact that only Syn’s was actually on the line in this match.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the official contract signing for the 1WPW Championship match at Chapter 13, the match between the 1WPW World Champion, Syn, representing 1WPW, and the IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Kazuchika Okada, representing New Japan Pro Wrestling.”
Harold Meji picked up a mic and waved to the crowd. “We’re very excited about this Champion vs Champion Match for both brands. I think having the two best wrestlers from both companies benefits both brands, and we can showcase to the world that professional wrestling is here to stay.” Syn seemed less than enthused, as he reached across the ring. Heyman whispered something in his ear before he spoke. “Y’know.. I see this for what it is. It’s an attempt to push around a smaller company. Install your world champion as the champ here as well... it’s not gonna work. I’m the lifeblood of this company. I’ve proudly held this Championship, and I’ve proudly defended it, and I’ve been proud to entertain the 1WPW faithful every damn night I step in this ring. And I intend to do that for a very, very long time. And I’m not gonna let someone from NJPW, or WWE, or any other company, march in here, and tarnish everything I’ve worked to build. So I sincerely hope you’re not expecting an easy fight this Sunday, Okada. You are going to get me at my absolute best, and if you aren’t 100% on your A game, then I will take you behind the woodshed, and put you down.” Syn dropped the mic and signed the contract. Okada sat for a long time, smirking at Syn, before picking up his pen and signing the contract as well.
“I’ll see you Sunday, Syn. Be ready.”
Vendetta faded as the two men stood up, holding their championships up high, looking each other in the eye.

Vendetta returned to Prince Devitt, standing alone backstage. He was uncharacteristically quiet, pacing back and forth for a few moments. He finally stopped and looked at the camera.
“You took everything from me, Kenny. My friends, my group...I had to take it all back, you know. You made the group that I created to slingshot myself and my closest friends into success, into a fucking joke. I basically created you, and you never gave me so much as a thank you!”
“I brought Finn out because you deserved it. But, I don’t need him to beat you. You may think I’m weak without him, I don’t care. You can dismiss me, say I’m nothing, but with or without the Demon, I am the nightmare you can’t escape. I can beat you without Finn, Kenny. I will.”
He stared at the camera for a moment before storming off.

Vendetta returned to Prince Devitt backstage, where he was about to go into an interview when he was suddenly interrupted.
“Devitt!” The interruptor turned out to be Kenny Omega. “Just the person I wanted to find!”
Prince looked at him in disgust and annoyance, crossing his arms as he turned to him. “Was there something you wanted?”
“So sensitive! Your Demon is much more fun, anyway. I’m surprised you don’t bring him out more often, since you can hardly do anything without him.”
Prince was about to protest but Kenny continued on. “Your best matches weren’t even technically your’s, they were Finn’s. Aleister, Syn, ME! I mean, who really cares about you?”
“I can beat you without Finn!” Prince gritted his teeth and got in Kenny’s face. If provoking him was Kenny’s intention, he succeeded. “Any time, I can beat you without him.”
“That didn’t seem to be the case last week, now did it?”
“I can beat you.” Prince repeated, but with more venom in his voice.
“Prove it, then. Chapter 13, you and me again.” Kenny proposed, extending a hand. Prince looked at it for a moment, staring at it until finally shaking it. The two exchanged glares before Prince stormed off.

Jay White vs Kenny Omega
This is the third time these two long time rivals would face off, second time under the One World banner, and the Switchblade has come out on top every time. Even still, Omega holds himself with arrogance, an air of confidence, while Jay's still the one with something to prove. The bell rings and Omega's approach is to play mind games by teasing Jay into a hold just to duck him, eventually offering a test of strength before ducking under and kicking him in the leg. White smirks as he walks it off, shaking his head. After all this time, Kenny still didn't take him seriously. Omega puts his hands up to show he meant no harm before “seriously” offering a tie up - but Jay grabs him in a back suplex and dumps him over the top rope! Omega falls to the floor, his knees buckling under him. White follows him to the outside and plants him with another back suplex, this time on the floor's thin padding. White taunts to the crowd, throwing up a middle finger as they boo him. Turning his attention back to the match at hand, Jay starts pulling up the padding. This gives Omega enough time to compose himself, but not enough as Jay reverses whatever retaliation he was trying to muster and lands a back body drop on the exposed concrete! Omega winces in pain as he's rolled back into the ring. White paws at his hand before lifting Omega up fully, going for a half hatch suplex, but Kenny tightens his legs and punches his way out of it. White eats a nasty forearm to the jaw and gets dropkicked to the floor! Omega drops to his knees, slowly rising as the fans clap, and soars over the top with his signature tope con hilo! The Rise of the Terminator has everyone hollering as Omega quickly gets them back into the ring, knowing he can't waste a moment against the Switchblade. Omega's holding his fingers out in a gun pointed at White's temple - but Jay rises up and plants him with a flatliner! Floats over and connects with the deadlift German! Bridge!
One…
Kickout!
Omega rolls to his feet after the kickout! “Fuck you, Jay White!” yells the self named Best Bout Machine before firing back with a HUGE V Trigger! Omega lifts him up for the One Winged Angel, the Switchblade dangling in the electric chair. Luckily for him, Jay's able to reach down and grab ahold of the top rope, pulling himself off and saving the match. He's not able to recover fast enough before getting hit with another high impact move, Omega staying close behind and planting him with a devastating snap dragon suplex. Jay flops all the way to his back, jaw slacked open and eyes half lidded. Omega grabs a fistful of his hair as he pulls Jay to his feet, a crazed look in the eyes of the former Bullet Club leader as he brings their faces closer together. “You are NOT on my level, punk, and you NEVER will be.” The palm of Omega's brought down across White's chest in a SICKENING SLAP! Jay's head whips to the side, knocking him to his knees. Omega gets him in an underhook, bringing him straight up before connecting with an absolutely brutal butterfly piledriver! Omega rolls him over for the confident pin. One…
Two…
Kickout!
Omega props him up against the ropes and hits the opposite set, connecting with a V Trigger. A second. A third. A fourth. Omega's looking to knee his head off until Jay's able to get on his feet suddenly, connecting with a stiff uppercut to floor the dominant Omega. White scoops him up, looking to finish things off with the Blade Runner, but Omega blocks it and turns it into a reverse hurricanrana! Jay's spiked on his head and lays flat on the mat, just as he had done for the last few minutes of the match, with Omega standing over him. If things continued like this, we'll be seeing another classic rivalry reach a breaking point as Omega faces Naito in the Cup finals. Omega lifts him up, gaining wrist control and spinning him out, connecting with the RainTrigger! Omega with another pin. One…
Two…
Kickout!
Omega lifts White up on his shoulders, fire in his eyes as he looks towards the corner. “You can't escape!” Omega somersaults forward and springs to the middle rope, leaping off with a moonsault - but White gets the knees up and turns it into a pin!
One…
Two…
Kickout!
They scramble to their feet and Omega lands a disgusting SLAP, split flying from Jay's mouth, and connects with a second RainTrigger! The Switchblade once again makes an appearance on Omega's shoulders, but White's able to slip off of them. Uppercut from the reigning IWGP Heavyweight Champion, and he's running the ropes, connecting with a second uppercut that snaps Omega's head all the way back! White deadlifts him from his knees and plants Omega with a back suplex, letting out a battle cry as control shifts in his favor. Uncharacteristic, but White climbs to the top, looking down at Omega who's in the drop zone, and he's looking for a High Fly Flow, rubbing salt in the wound… but Omega moves! White crashes to the canvas, sitting back on his knees as he holds his chest. V TRIGGER TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD! White's nearly comatose as he's once again lifted for the One Winged Angel… but Jay slips out of it and behind him. The referee is shoved away - AND JAY WHITE HITS A LOW BLOW! Omega crumbles to his knees, holding his privates, vulnerable and White turns him around… BLADE RUNNER CONNECTS! THE SWITCHBLADE IS MOVING ON!
One…
Two…
Three!
“Here is your winner, “THE SWITCHBLADE” JAY WHITE!”

Riley and Matsumoto made their way to the back, but as they walked through the curtain, Matsu stopped in place. Someone was tugging on the Grand Grimiore briefcase... both women turned to see that person was none other than Cody.
“Y’know.. despite the fact Double or Nothjng is this weekend, I haven’t forgotten about 1WPW. And I haven’t forgotten what I came here to do in the first place. I’m here in 1WPW to become World Champion... so I cut a deal with Heyman. We advertise Chapter 13 on the night of Double or Nothing... and at Chapter 13, I receive a shot at your briefcase, Matsu... see you Sunday.”
Cody smirked and walked off, while Riley and Matsu glared after him, Riley mumbling something about Cody being a “tosser”.

Becky cuts off whatever Riley was trying to say, strutting down the ramp with a microphone pressed to her lips. “I told you I'm not done with you, weirdo. Took can underestimate you, you can overlook me, but don't you dare try and forget me because The Man is here and here to stay and I've got a right hook with yer name on it if you try and pretend I'm not.”
Becky continues, but she stays away from the ring, “Riley, it doesn't matter if you like me or not. Or if you're too scared to face me again knowing I'll kick yer ass all the way back to Norwich or Japan or wherever the hell you're from. You asked for someone to 'step to the king’, and I did. And I will keep doing it until I've got your title and your arm in my collection.”
As the threat is laid out, Matsumoto steps in front of the cowering Riley, chin held high as Becky began to sputter. “Oh, what? What? Can't we have a conversation? Or is this a 'you gotta go through me to get to her’ thing? If that's the way it is the let's go, let's go. I'll slap the head off both you dopes and take your little trophies.”
Becky's still yelling as Matsumoto gets closer to her face - but it's enough of a distraction for Riley to come in and take her out! Riley straddles Becky and rains down vicious punches and forearms until Becky is weakly able to throw her off. The Man tries getting back to her feet, but the two stay one step ahead of her, Matsumoto grabbing both her arms and immobilizing the fiery Lynch, allowing Riley to repeatedly kick her in the chest. Becky kicks out at her, knocking Riley back! Becky gets an arm free and hits Matsumoto with elbows. She's free and turns her attention to the giant woman!
But before she can get anywhere, Riley hooks her into a sleeper. Becky flails, trying to break it, but fades quickly, dropping to her knees. Riley lets go and shoves her towards Matsumoto, who flattens Lynch with a Yakuza kick. The two sisters in arms share a look, Riley giving the nod before Matsumoto's lifting Becky in the wheelbarrow, and together they complete the Red Angel! Lynch is left laying while ANarChY stands tall.

The camera cut backstage to a dark and Smokey room, the kind that Aleister Black would usually be found in. This time, however, it was a man sitting cross legged, in a flat cap and Masked Intruder hoodie. This man was none other than Sami Zayn, Aleister Black’s opponent for his first defense of the Dynastic Openweight Championship this Sunday at Chapter 13.
“You know.. when I first came to One World.. I really thought it would be different. I thought it would be a great change of scenery for me. But I quickly learned about the 1WPW fans, the so-called best fans in all of professional wrestling... there’s a thing, a disease, that’s infected the fans of One World. Something I’ll call Smark Culture. Everyone’s an insider, everyone knows what’s going on backstage, everyone has to be up their favorite wrestler’s ass 24/7... and it’s the other talent in One World that’s allowed you all to be this way... people like... well, people like my opponent, Aleister Black, the most decorated competitor in One World history. He’s already a three time champion here! Former world champ, former tag champ, current Openweight champ... Aleister Black has enabled each and every one of you. But come this Sunday? When I expose Aleister Black for who he really is? He’s corporate. He’s not an outsider. He’s Heyman’s prized boy. He is the establishment. And he’s a sad, pathetic man, hiding behind his tattoos, and his rituals... sad and scared because he knows he’s a fraud. You’re all going to see that the hero you’ve been following, is just another lie the media is feeding you. Aleister isn’t a hero...
And after Sunday.. he won’t be champion either.”

As PAC was dragged to the back, still cursing and shouting up a storm, he finally broke free from security, and grabbed a chair, throwing it across gorilla. He spun around, looking for that ref that screwed him.
“Where is he?! Where is the Bastard?! I’m gonna Rip his bloody face off!”
“PAC! PAC! PAC! Calm down!” Heyman came running into frame, trying to get PAC to diffuse, but PAC grabbed Heyman by his jacket, and got into his face. “You! You’re going to make this right, or I’m walking out that door right now, and I’ll never step foot into your stupid company ever again!” PAC shouted, and Heyman put his hands up to defend himself. “PAC, settle down, settle down.” Heyman pulled away and adjusted his jacket. “Now.. I agree that the referee made a mistake out there. And here’s what I’m gonna do to make it right. At Chapter 13, the finals of the One World Cup, will now be a triple threat match. You, vs Naito, vs the winner of Kenny and Jay. Okay? Does that make it right?”
PAC huffed, but nodded his head, storming off as Heyman took a deep breath

PAC vs Tetsuya Naito
PAC was clearly upset as he made his way to the ring, not happy with the circumstances of his match. He was supposed to be facing Sami Callihan, but after an earlier attack from Jake Crist, Callihan had to be pulled from the tournament, and replaced with PAC’s opponent tonight, Tetsuya Naito. PAC was already irate after the situation with AEW and Hangman Page this week, and this clearly wasn’t doing any favors for the Bastard King’s mood. The bell rang, and PAC charged at Naito, knocking him down with a brutal clothesline in the corner, and then stomping away at the leader of Los Ingobernables with authority, forcing the ref to have to pull PAC away, out of the corner. PAC got in the referee’s face and began to shout, before pushing him away, and going back at Naito with a series of even more viscous stomps, looking to do some serious damage to Naito! The ref once again had to pull PAC out of the corner, and warned PAC if he didn’t cut this out, he would be disqualified, and out of the tournament. PAC once again shoved the ref away, and went after Naito, but Naito grabbed PAC by the trunks, and pulled PAC’s face down onto the middle turnbuckle! PAC’s face bounced off the turnbuckle, and he was stunned as he fell down into the corner, allowing Naito to get up, and use the ropes to slingshot himself up, and crush PAC with a dropkick! PAC looked out of it here! Naito pulled PAC out of the corner and made the cover!
1...2... kickout!
PAC kicks out there, saving his spot in this tournament. The winner of this one would face the winner of Jay White & Kenny Omega later on in the night. Naito picked PAC back up, and whipped him into the ropes, trying to catch PAC with a dropkick on the rebound, but PAC hung onto the ropes, stopping his momentum, and causing Naito to hit nothing but air. PAC quickly caught Naito with a sharp kick to the chest. PAC slammed Naito back to the ground, and jumped on him for the double stomp, before flipping back and catching him with a standing moonsault! PAC covers!
1...2... kickout!
Naito stays alive! Naito managed to kick out, but PAC was quick to jump back on offense, hammering away at Naito with a series of stiff forearm shots! PAC continued the brutal assault, until he lifted Naito back up, and drove him into the corner! PAC quickly lifted Naito up onto the top rope, before jumping up there himself, and tossing Naito across the ring with a Frankensteiner! Naito landed flat on his back, and PAC was quick to rush over, in an attempt to make another cover!
1...2... kickout!
PAC was starting to get frustrated now, but he still had tricks in his bad that he had yet to pull out, one of them being the Rings of Saturn, which he locks in here! Both arms were trapped for Naito, as PAC increased the pressure on Naito’s neck and shoulders! If Naito didn’t find a way out of this quickly, he might have to tap!
Naito began rolling around, trying to reverse the pressure on himself, and get to a spot where he could get out of the hold. He finally got himself in a position to where he could manage to swing his leg up, and catch PAC in the face with a knee. A few more knee shots got PAC to release the hold, and Naito rolled up to his feet. PAC got back to his, and shook off the cobwebs from the shots from Naito, trying to catch Naito with a clothesline, but Naito ducked it and trapped PAC’s arm, trapping it, and driving him to the mat with Gloria! Naito makes the cover!
1...2... PAC gets the shoulder up... The ref counts three!
The bell rang, and PAC sat up, running his hands through his hair. He turned and looked at the referee, in complete and utter shock. Naito booked it out of the ring, and PAC grabbed the referee by the shirt, looking as if he was going to attack the ref, when a multitude of refs charged down to the ring, along with security, to separate PAC from the ref. PAC practically had to be dragged to the back by everyone, as he was still spouting off at the mouth and trying to reach for the ref who made the mistake.
