Don't know if you're still taking prompts, but if you are, I've got one for you: Quarantine

The emergence of a new super virus puts the entire world in panic. It starts small, in isolated areas of the world, but quickly spreads. In order to prevent a full-blown epidemic, infected people are quarantined in secure facilities and placed under observation. Symptoms of the virus include high fever, loss of vision, hallucinations, distorted perception, organ failure, and death. Scientists call the virus Xanid. Among the top researchers working on a vaccine is Professor Membrane, who lives in one of these research facilities along with children.

Zim sees this sudden outbreak as the perfect opportunity to conquer the planet. The humans are weak and focused of fighting this virus, which Zim appears to be naturally immune to. He plans to let the virus kill off a majority of the population, helping it spread by infecting healthy people. The 1% of the population immune to the virus he will make his human slaves, and Earth will be his. Satisfied with himself, Zim decides to go gloat to Dib. Nothing would please him more than to rub it in Dib’s face that he’s won.Little does Zim know that Dib has recently become ill. Despite his father’s best efforts, Dib has contracted Xanid and has been placed in quarantine. Zim finds Dib locked away in a small cell, strapped to a bed with a table of failed vaccines by him. At first Zim is cocky and mocks Dib in his pitiful condition, but Dib gives no response. Dib cannot see him, and his mind has faded beyond being able to recognize who Zim is anymore. For the first time Zim is taken back by feelings of pity and sadness. He thought seeing Dib on the brink of death would make him happy, but instead it opens a hole of dread and loneliness in Zim. He hurries back to his lab and begins to work on a vaccine of his own. Test after test result in no success, until finally test subject 0098 shows signs of improvement. Their fever has disappeared, their eyes clear, and they look around the lab alert and conscious. Ecstatic, Zim rushes to Dib and injects him with the vaccine. He stands eagerly at his bedside and watches as Dib’s eye leave the dark placed they had gone and show signs of life. The vaccine is a success, and it’s administered to the millions of infected humans. The Earth has been saved, or so it seemed. Six months after the events, Zim notices strange behavior in subject 0098. He has kept them under observation just in case the vaccine showed any signs of weakness. Subject 0098 recently began showing aggressive behavior. They pace their enclosure with a feverish look and fire in their eyes. Zim doesn’t take it into much consideration until subject 0098 begins to physically deform. He finds them on the ground, their body crippled in what should be humanly impossible positions. Zim’s alien vaccine has horrible side effects on humans that cause mutation. Zim desperately tries to cure it, but to no avail. Subject 0098 has become a grotesque mutant- their arms elongated and bent forward, their legs tucked beneath them. Their back arches in a spiny u-shaped form and their head hangs limp from an unstable neck, stretched out from the weight of their skull pulling it down. The eyes are lightless and clouded, like milky spheres turning within a lidless void. Zim hurries to Dib, maybe the mutation does not occur in every human. Maybe subject 0098 is a special exception. He knocks on the Membrane door. No answer. He opens the door and calls for Dib. There is a low, muffled growl from the kitchen, but otherwise no reply. Zim slowly makes his way up the stairs and to Dib’s bedroom. He pushed the door open, and a  fowl stench washes over him. He calls out to Dib again. Nothing. Nothing but a quiet shuffle from across the room. Zim turns his attention to the sound, and is met with two round black eyes in a sunken face, the mouth agape and dripping. Sheets of greasy, tangled hair shroud the face, but Zim knows all too well who it is. What has he done.

start of a comic i am doing. it might be a big one, since i’ve not felt so sure of a feeling for so long in a while, even if it’s a little negative.

AU where Dib and Zim end up getting stuck in a cursed forest that otherwise functions as a purgatory on Earth–Limbo.

Any time they both die, they get sent back to where they first fell down and Zim is the one who remembers each failure and is increasingly more and more upset at how bad Dib is at not dying. He has to keep going back to the start because he loses his motivation to do anything if his nemesis is gone.

Maybe one day they’ll make a perfect run and get out of there.
