American Discord Users - Before May 15th, 2024

4/20/24—Discord's new Terms of Service include an agreement to arbitrate, which voids your right to sue them in court. This Polygon Article (or Polygon video, if you prefer) explains why this is Bad, but I wanted to consolidate the information and share it with people.

To opt-out, email [email protected] There's a template from the NCLC for writing an opt-out letter.

American Discord users must do this by May 15th, 2024. For new accounts, American users must opt out within 30 days of creating a new Discord account.

As stated in the title, this only applies to American users. I know many people on tumblr who have a discord but don't use it often, so I hope this can be helpful.

I...tried to make a meme and got carried away and made A Thing that is like partially unfinished because i spent like 3 hours on it and then got tired.

I think this is mostly scientifically accurate but truth be told, there seems to be relatively little research on succession in regards to lawns specifically (as opposed to like, pastures). I am not exaggerating how bad they are for biodiversity though—recent research has referred to them as "ecological deserts."
