6: Don’t steal art

7: Don’t repost art

8: Don’t claim other’s art as your own

9: Don’t remove watermarks

10: Don’t tell artists that if they didn’t want their work taken they shouldn’t of posted it, that is literally the same victim shaming that happens in rape cases. ‘If she didn’t want to be raped she shouldn’t of worn that top’ common guys.

11: Don’t argue with artists when they ask their work to be taken down.

12: Ask artist before using their work for anything. Videos, comic dubs, icons, anything.

13: If the artist says no, they say no, don’t do it anyways. This isn’t preschool be an adult.

14: Understand artists are people, and most are trying to make a living with their art and can’t do that if their work is taken from them. There have been artists that had to prove to employers that they had created work because others had stolen from them, and they missed out on employment opportunities because of it. 

15: If the artist says something they don’t want to have done with their work, characters, don’t do it.

16: Don’t be a jerk about it either

17: ASK before assuming you can draw NSFW of a character

18: If you want to see the artist’s work on another site, ask them if they are interested, they might not be but its best to ask.

19: ARTIST KNOW THEIR RIGHTS, You can get in legal problems for theft.

20: Check artist FAQ’s or previous posts to see if they have anything about it. 

21: Editing out the white of an image doesn’t make it yours, you’re just a very dedicated thief.

22: Back to point one, RESPECT THE ARTIST.

23: And when an artist expresses their wishes, don’t be condescending about it.
