He huffed out a laugh before looking up at her. “Me? Sarcastic? Never. I am the most serious person in Overwatch.” He joked, giving her a cheesy smile. It quickly dropped from his face, leaving him looking serious as ever.
“I can walk just fine.” He shifted his jacket to show that his side was covered in blood. “I think it’s just a graze but, it really hurts.” He muttered, now closing his eyes as he felt his side twinge in pain. It hurt more than an average graze but, it didn’t feel like he was actually shot.
“I thought I’d lie on the floor and writhe in pain for a while, it relaxes me.“ (As Jack)

[ ╬ ]      “I can only hope that’s your sarcasm talking…. but hey, if you find it oh so relaxing, I won’t bother you.” She even went to turn away from him, stopping only then in her tracks to look back at him with a brow raised. Obviously Angela wasn’t just going to leave him there like that, but if he’s going to give her that tone then she may as well do it right back.
[ ╬ ]      “So, where’s it the worst, then? I can’t just up and lift you, unless you can walk then I haven’t any other choice.”

“Well, it can be very easy to get lost in here.” He said with a kind smile. She must be really new. “No, I suppose maps of the base aren’t a smart idea.” He admitted, leading her down the hall.
Jack looked back at her, taking in every word she said, a faint smile on his face as she passionately spoke about the birds. “Well, maybe we could try and do something about it like catch the birds and set them free in the proper habitat for them.” He said, trying to show her that he didn’t mind hearing about her interests. “I may not know much about birds but I do know how harmful a small change in an ecosystem could easily ruin it. If you go back to Munich, see if you see anymore domestic birds. See if you can catch them and then when you get back, you can take them where ever they belong.”

“Well, lets hope for the best then.” He said with a smile. The smile then turned a bit awkward. Why did she flinch every time he held out his hand? Maybe something had happened to her that has put her on edge and scares her anytime someone’s hand moves toward her? He didn’t know but it wasn’t his place to ask.
He let his hand fall to his side. “Well, that’s a first.” He admitted. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Wihnstrum. No need to be so formal.” He said, trying to get her to relax again. He then blinked a bit at her questioned, looking confused. She must be really new. “Uh.. Yeah, it’s right down the hall. Here, let me help you.” He said, now walking down the hall, hoping she would follow.

Jack helped pull her to her feet, standing up straighter now. He listened to her ramble, a smile tugging at his lips. She seemed to know what she was talking about. “Well, that does seem like something someone would fret about. Just, try not to fret in the middle of the hallway, okay?” He was as much to blame for knocking her down but, if she continued doing this, someone else might run into her and hurt her.
He stifled a yawn before putting out his hand again. “I don’t think we’ve met. I’m Strike-Commander Morrison. Then again, who doesn’t know me.” He didn’t mean this to be all hoity toity. He hated being “famous” for being the strike commander of Overwatch. Everyone knew who he was and even if they didn’t know his name, they knew his face and knew that he was important.

Jack was having a rough day. The mound of paperwork mixed with a failed mission was now wearing down on him. He sighed as he pushed away from his desk, rubbing at his eyes. He needed a break like, now. He got up from his chair, leaving his jacket on the back of it, before heading out the door.
He stepped through the halls, not making eye contact with anyone as he did. He always hated seeming like he was rude or “better” than others but, at the moment he was to worn out to care. He rubbed at his eyes, not noticing that there was someone stopped in front of him till he ran into them. He really needed to pay better attention to where he was going. “Sorry, didn’t see you there.” He said, offering his hand to what seemed to be a new recruit. Judging by the uniform, she was in Blackwatch.

“Just, watch your back. At worse, he kills you.” He said calmly. “He doesn’t like failing.“ Then again, he could be wrong and Reaper could have a change of heart and let her go. Sure. All Jack can do is hope that she isn’t killed. He’d hate for her to loose her life over him.
His jaw clenched at her words, his eyes watching her from behind his glasses. He then cleared his throat before speaking. “That commander is dead. But...” He paused, sighing. “I’ll try.“ He didn’t want to be a hero or someone that others looked up to but, it seemed that not matter what he did he couldn’t escape being that.

Well, that was good to know. He would hate to have to just pack up and move all over again before he was even finished with what he was doing here. The older male frowned a bit, taking the umbrella. He still held it over her head, unsure of what she was doing.
Old? He wasn’t that old. “I can just go back to where I’m staying. Get a warm shower and change. It’s better than walking around soaking wet. He grabbed the folder, holding it against his chest before offering her the umbrella. He would much prefer to go on his own anyway in case she was being followed.

Jack squinted a bit, his eyes still blurry from sleep. When his vision cleared and he could see the picture, he frowned, now looking at Ana. “It’s a nice picture and all but it could be used for blackmail. Delete it.” He knew how the woman could get sometimes. If there was something she didn’t want to do, she would pawn it off to either Gabe or himself by blackmailing them.
He then turned his attention to Gabe and smiled a bit, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze. “I’m actually feel better. Less sore. I almost feel like getting up.” He knew that he would get no where due to Ana being there but, he did hope that he could sneak out when she was gone.

Gabe couldn’t help but laugh at how hard Jack was trying to stay up, “There’s that good ole Indiana accent” He shook his head and grinned, “What am I going to do with you, honestly. You shouldn’t be this adorable” he chuckled and slowly tucked the sheets around the other, “It’s alright farm boy, we can talk when you wake up”

He flipped open the folder, his eyes scanning over each page before closing it and looking at her. “No, this should do it. What are you going to do now? Re- er.. Your employer wont like hearing that someone he hired just bailed on him and told his target what was going on.” He said, putting the folder under his arm now.
The salute makes him tense a bit. She knows. He’s not going to hold it against her though. It was in the folder after all. She was just trying to be polite.

Having felt the other jerk awake, Jack groaned. He didn’t wake up just yet, hoping that maybe, if he just kept his eyes closed a little longer, he might fall back to sleep. He squeezed Gabe’s hand in his “sleep” before relaxing, deciding that it was time to wake up. His eyes fluttered open to see the commander glaring at someone. A slowly turn of his head and he saw who he was glaring at. He wasn’t quite sure what she had done but honestly, he didn’t want to know. “What time is it?” He croaked.

Jack raised an eyebrow, his eyes narrowing a bit behind his glasses as he stared at her. Had she really just thought about ratting him out? Then again, she had only just met him so, why not? "Do what you think you have to. Just know that I'll probably be long gone if you do tell him where I am." He said sternly.
"Just..." He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Call me 76. I don't even care." He was getting tired and he was still soaked and wasn't getting any drier by standing here.

Jack frowned, looking at the file. How did he even get this stuff? “He has his ways. All it takes is for you to slip just a little bit and he’s found you.. I’d be interested to know how he got information on me though. Last I checked, everything on me was deleted or lost.
Was she complimenting him? He raised an eyebrow, listening to her. “Then why are you talking to me? Why tell me this if you know you’ll be in trouble?” And possibly killed, his brain added. He then looked up at the sky, having forgotten about the rain. He was already soaked so he saw no point in worrying about it.
“Well sir” she frowns glancing up at him “I was a soldier and while i’m not anymore, I still respect my higher ups sir” She explains, closing the folder and tucking it away “If I die I die, I’ll still have done my job for better or worse sir” “I’m not really sure how he got the information, could be the same way he would find out that you eat every few days and not alot, just  by following” she hums in thought “Maybe by keeping an eye on old hangs? Or just because he knows you enough by stalking? But that doesn’t explain how he knows you to begin with sir”

“Sshhhhh. Don’ make fun of me.” He whined again. His eyes were now half open as he stared at Gabe through his eyelashes. “Aww, Gabe you think I’m adorable.” He teased before yawning once again. This time when his eyes closed, the didn’t open again. “Don’ leave me. I need you.” He mumbled, lightly squeezing the others hand one more time before finally falling asleep.
