   ok the reason most people seem to think that chara is “”evil“” is because of the no mercy route, right? because chara “”made“” frisk kill all those people. because the no mercy route is somehow their doing.

Let’s just jump right in shall we? So this NASTY post started circulating the roleplay community sometime between yesterday today and I’m left scratching my head as to why anyone would agree with this heap of shit, so I’m going to address it. 

Firstly I’ll state that it is my BIGGEST pet peeve when someone says “the real world is harsh sweaty :)” because no matter what I am doing, I live in the so called “real world”. There isn’t a threshold which dictates what is in the real world and what isn’t: you live, you eat, you breath, you work, you play, you log onto your blog all within the constructs of reality. The “real world” doesn’t stop akin to Za Warudo just because you’ve logged into your blog. Therefore I expect the same level of courtesy on my blog that I expect from “the real world”. That means if something makes me uncomfortable and I tell you it makes me uncomfortable I expect you to stop doing it around me because that’s basic common courtesy. The “real world” would have no problem apologizing and making sure not to do that around you. I have never come across someone face to face who listened to me and how I felt and told me “too bad, so sad that’s not how life works”, and while I am sure that there are people like that in this world, most people weren’t raised by wolves and know that when someone is upset with said thing to stop doing said fucking thing. 

Making light of triggers is ABLEIST. It is not up to ANYONE to determine what makes a trigger silly or invalid. It’s understandable that you might not grasp everyone’s triggers or why they have them but it literally does not fucking matter. Repeat after me: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PERSONALLY UNDERSTAND SOMEONE’S TRIGGER FOR IT TO BE A VALID TRIGGER.  The only thing you have to understand is that this particular thing upsets someone and you should be courteous and tag it for them. It takes NO TIME to tag something, and it gives someone else a safe space to be. What a concept, am I right? Thinking of others instead of being a pretentious asshole? Being a decent person literally takes you no time at all, being a humongous douche canoe though leads to WASTING time making bullshit PSA’s about how much you disdain your followers for having the audacity to take steps that ensure their mental well-being by asking for tags. How dare they!

Here is a concept: most people aren’t looking to avoid something entirely because that is impossible in some cases, and BELIEVE ME those of us with triggers know that, we know that we will be faced with our triggers at some point because it is inevitable— but when we can minimize that risk with something as simple as a fucking tag then of course we are going to. Why is this concept so hard to grasp? Why is this even an argument? If someone asks you to tag something and you laugh in their face and tell them no, then that makes you the asshole “problem child” (as that post puts it)— not the person taking steps to make their safe place, I don’t know, SAFE. 

It’s true, you aren’t obligated to tag anything for anyone but you also aren’t obligated to make fun of people who have triggers or anxiety or any sort of disorder at all ever. You don’t understand triggers? Fine. But shut the fuck up about ”the real world” and how no one caters to anyone because that’s definitely not the case. Shut the fuck up about how you think someone who is trying to protect their health is just looking to be catered to and coddled and you aren’t going to hold their hand because only babies need that. Stop invalidating people with your ableist undertones and literally just shut the fuck up.
