Kairi gave a small hum, her hands making their way down to firmly place themselves at the curvatures of her rounded hips. "Hmm--you must be from another world then! But without a gummi ship...how is that possible?" The last part of the Princess's sentence being more towards herself than the extremely confused male before her. "Well, I am sure there is a way to get you back home! But first we should exchange names, it might make things a bit easier." The polite smile that had been tugging at her lips escaped full force, reaching her hand out to shake in greeting. "The name's Kairi! It's really nice to meet you, no matter the circumstances."

{ ✖ } ; Ulrich turned around once he heard a voice behind him, and though night had fallen upon this area, he noticed it was a young girl who had spoke. “Um.. I actually don’t know how or why I ended up here..” Wasn’t I in my dorm not too long ago, being kept awake by Odd? “Where am I?” No doubt, he was confused.

Well that was quite a crowd--everyone must have decided to take a stroll along the beach this evening; including a few of her own friends. Kairi's lips curled instantly, her hand lifting towards the sky to wave in a mildly eager manner. "What brings you guys out here? I thought I was the only one that walks the beach at night."

A small giggle escaped, filtering out and filling the open air with the soothing sound. "You think so? Well I am so flattered." Kairi's voice held a tone of mild teasing, enjoying the way the pyro would respond. He wanted to make everyone think he was so cool--but deep down he was just an adorable dork. "Axel, whatcha so nervous for anyway?" Her index came to prod playfully at his shoulder, her head tilting ever so slightly. "Do girls make you fidgety, hmm? Is that it? Oooor, are you hiding something from me?" A sly grin extended, showing her amusement. "Come on now, spit it out! Don't keep a lady waiting~"

Eyes decided to soften; it was a relief. Not being forgotten, that is. Especially with the memories they had together, which weren’t the best, she still remembered him even with his faults as a bad guy. The female redhead just knew how to make him smile in all the right ways. By an odd habit, he scratched his cheek once more. “That’s cute.” He simply put it, allowing arms of length to reach out and mess up her hair by just a lot. Hopefully his nervousness would go away even though he still had no idea as to what was creating it to happen. Guess that’s a perk of being a Nobody with an empty shell, trying to feel, huh?

A thin, dark red brow lifted acutely, watching his cheeks a light shade of pink. What was he getting so bent outta shape about? She knew for a fact that he wasn't always this on edge. A gentle giggle eased from her lips, straightening out her posture before opening her mouth to speak again. "Of course I would, you didn't think I would just forget about you, did you?" Kairi's index finger pointed outwards letting her appendage lift to tap against her temple a few times. "I've got you memorized~"

Now, this wasn’t a great time for her to be stepping closer to him - ever heard of personal space? And, he thinks she’s caught on to his nervousness- he makes it so obvious at times. Why was he nervous? It was Kairi. Arms fell to his sides and eyes locked. Were her eyes always that blue? “Sorry I took so long then. Didn’t think you’d wait for me.” It was flattering. From his smile to that unsure look to his face, it morphed into a smirk.

"Mm...I just didn't expect it--we are friends, but you have others that you are closer to, right?" Kairi's lips were still tilted upwards, sea blue tinctures watching the flamestarter fumble around. Was he nervous? How cute was that! Clasping her small hands behind her back, she carefully sauntered ever closer to her pal, leaning forward a bit so their visions could meet and mingle. "But I missed you too, you know? It felt weird not seeing you around...I always thought you would return, I just didn't think it would so long."

Man, did she have to ask? Irises decided to open, and a hand released it’s grip from his hip and raised up, scratching his cheek. “Well..” he stopped, thinking of a good explanation for the moment, “why wouldn’t I miss you? Having friends, that’s truly all you do when they’re not together; they miss each other.” The same hand that scratched his cheek decided to do the job of releasing the tension from his brain by running slim fingers through his hair. He always did like that feeling, and each and everytime, it’s helped him on multiple occasions.

Plush lips parted faintly as her eyes lifted to gaze upon the other with wonder. Soon they curved into a vague smile that only the pyro in question would witness--if he should open his eyes. "See me? Why's that, big guy?" Of all people he could visit, why would he choose her?

He stayed quiet for a moment as she spoke. Emerald hues decided to close and he mused quietly to himself, a small smile started to show and his stature stayed in place. “—-I wanted to see you.” Axel decided it best to keep quiet for now.

"Soft sands and salty sea breezes--I can see why it would drawl you back." Her visage tilted slightly, watching the other redhead with mild curiosity. "It has...how have you been fairing?"

“Something just..” he continued to stare towards the rising and falling sea in front of him, hands on waist, “drew me back here. It’s been a while, hasn’t it, Kairi?”

Sapphire hue's glimmered in the dimming light that the island had been consumed with. "I suppose that's true--I'm just mildly stating the obvious. What brings you by, Axel?"

“From what I know about oceans, I thought that’s what they always do, Kairi.”
