REFLECTION 1

The subject Creative Writing gives me a lot of knowledge about myths, romance, ironic, high mimetic, and low mimetic. I also learned that some of the myths are completely fiction, while the others are based on facts. All of them can be fascinating to learn and read about. What’s more interesting is the fact that we can analyze all these stories from different points of view. Also, myths provide a basis for moral boundaries and establish the basic guidelines for the way people within a society live. As I learn about myths from around the world, I found that many cultures have similar stories. I also learned about plot which ensures that every important element of the story is in place to make sense to the reader and keep the story moving. It also contains the conflict or problem that the main characters must tackle in order to reach their happy ending. Every compelling story, even a short story, will have a plot to give a story structure. Studying creative writing turns me into a more effective communicator and writer. It also helps me to use more my imagination and creativity to express my ideas and thoughts. Quite simply, it’s about adding my own ‘flair’ to writing, and going beyond the traditional boundaries of academic or other technical forms of literature.

“CELEBRATING LITTLE SUCCESS”

I. Who are you?

My name is Ralph Pascual Betis and my family calls me “Raprap”. I am a grade 11 (HUMSS) student at Saint Pius x Institute of Cuyapo and I live in District 6, Corpuz street, Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija. I came from a family of five and I occupy the first position. My father works in other country while my mother is a full time house wife. I have 1 brother and 3 sisters. My hobbies include playing basketball, watching movies, playing online games, and spending time with my loved ones especially talking to my girlfriend everyday beside that my other hobbies are cleaning our house, fixing broken things, folding my clothes etc. I’m a good and responsible son to my parents, a good brother to my siblings and a supportive and understanding friend. I set goals for myself and work hard to achieve them. I’m not a perfect person Like everyone I have bad habits too, but I constantly working towards making myself better person.

II. How are you?

So far so good, for me I think I’ve got so far but I wish it could be better. There is so many circumstances but I choose to be brave and continue to find my purpose in life. People have different strengths include things like creativity, leadership, problem-solving, communication, and more. It’s important to develop your own strengths, while respecting and appreciating the strengths of others. My strengths are doing house hold chores, driving different land transportations (except train). While some of my common weaknesses include lack of confidence, poor time management, difficulty with public speaking, procrastination, and difficulty with confrontation.

However, I know that I have my own unique set of weaknesses so it's important to identify and work on improving them. When I’m losing myself or there’s a problem I am facing I have discovered that I don’t let insecurity, anxiety and sadness weaken me forever. I understand and accept them as part of life, and as part of a journey to find my lost self. I have realized that accepting myself as whole includes accepting my failures, betrayals, imperfections, mistakes and other weaknesses willingly. Rediscovering myself begins with accepting myself completely, both strengths and weaknesses. By accepting myself completely, I become more peaceful, more understanding and wise in looking at life, as well as accepting others as they should be.

III. Message for myself

Those tears are temporary. Your breakthrough is coming. Don’t give up. Don’t move backwards and move forward. It`s okay to be scared, but stop letting your fears win. I understand it’s hard to believe because of what you’ve been through, but you deserve to be happy. You deserve to be loved and you deserve to live life beautifully. You deserve good things. It’s okay to say “this isn’t for me” and it’s okay to follow your dreams. No one’s plan for you matters, what matters is God’s plan for you and what matters is your happiness. It’s okay to cry but you won’t cry forever. Problems will not win. Your are more than enough and you are someone important. You are someone special.

1am 18 years old and I was born on September 22, 2004 at Cuyapo N.E

I am the Son of Ricardo and Amelia. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother and I am the eldest among of us. I live in which address at District 6 Corpuz St. Cuyapo N.E together with my family, We live there for many years. I am a type of person who is shy at first but when you get to know me, you will see the crazy me. They say I am an snobber person and yes that’s true. I am also moody. My favorite color is black and yellow. My height is 5’7. I also love playing basketball and i’m a varsity player here at Saint Pius.

My father live in Sacramento, California and I will live there soon when my papers is done. When I’m angry or not in the mood I stay quiet. I am a sneakerhead person I love collecting sneakers when i have some extra money I save it so that i’m able to buy the shoes I want. My favorite basketball player is Kobe Bryant. As a teenager I love going to gym so that I can workout and become physically fit because i’m skinny. My daily routine is to train at home to become good at basketball.

In my 18 years of existence in this world, I already experienced so many things from being a cry baby until I entered to this age where I am no longer a child. I matured enough to have my own decisions in life but not literally independent for now. Now, I am a senior highschool student at Saint Pius X Institute and currently taking HUMSS. I study hard so that I can graduate and make my parents proud. And as an HUMSS student, my dream in life is to become a future Police or US Navy to serve and protect our country.

Place: Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija

Length One-Act Play

Characters: Ralph and Bruce and Jorenz

Setting: Ralph and his brother Bruce are on there way home suddenly they receive a call that there from there old friend.

Bruce: Someone is calling me (answer the phone) Hello, Bruce your store got robbed by two men.

Bruce: Ralph, They say that our store got robbed we should turn back.

Ralph: Okay let’s go back to our store and try to solve who is the robbery.

Ralph: (Drives back to store)

Bruce: Huh? They say our store got robbed but there was no trace that our store got robbed.

Jorenz: Hello, Ralph and Bruce long time no see my brothers, Sorry for the call i just want to see you two.

Ralph: You never change Jorenz you still a joker (laugh).

Bruce: Goddammit Jorenz I almost got a heart attack (laugh).

Ralph: I know that you need something that’s why you call us.

Jorez: You’re right my brother i got a have for you two.

Bruce: What is it?

Jorenz: My brandnew GTR R34 got stolen last night at Dist 2 Cuyapo, NE. I know that you and your brother can find my car and bring it back to me.

Ralph: Yeah sure we can do that but for a price.

Jorenz : (laugh) You never changed Ralph but sure how much?

Ralph: 1million and next week you have your car.

Jorenz: Deal!

Bruce: See you next week Jorenz.

Narrator: Ralph and bruce started to find Jorenz car then suddenly they saw it who stole the car.

Scene 2

Bruce: Hey that’s Jorenz car right?

Ralph: Yeah that’s the one.

Bruce: Why her brother stole the car.

Ralph: I guess they got into a fight.

Ralph: (Calling jorenz) Hey, we know who stole your car and i think your not gonna like it who stole your car.

Jorenz: Who?

Ralph: Your brother Jacob.

Jorenz: I know it, He is the one who know that i bought a brand new car. Just get my car back i handle the rest.

Bruce and Ralph: No worries.

Bruce and Ralph: (Snicking into the garage)

Bruce: I got the key.

Ralph: I drive.

Bruce: I’m the one who found it I’m driving.

Ralph: I’m the older one that’s why i’m driving.

Bruce: Okay fine. You always bring say that to win.

Ralph: (laugh)

Bruce: (open the garage)

Ralph and bruce: (start driving)

Scene 3

Narrator: They are heading there way home to return the car to jorenz.

Bruce: Wow this car was amazing.

Ralph: It was fun driving it.

Bruce: Can i drive?

Ralph: Sure.

Bruce and Ralph: (Changed)

Bruce: Get ready Ralph.

Ralph: Be careful okay.

Bruce: start driving.

Narrator: They got the car back to jorenz and he was happy and angry at the same time because he know who stole here car.

Jorenz: Thankyou Ralph and Bruce for returning my car back to me.

Bruce and Ralph: No worries brother it was a easy job anyway.

Jorenz: So how much is our deal was?

Ralph: 1 million.

Jorenz: Okay here is the check.

Bruce and Ralph: Pleasure doing business with you Jorenz.

Narrator: When they finish there job they headed to there home and start enjoying the 1million.

Title: Windfall

Summary:
