#oh man this is... a really hard question #i do bitch and moan about fics i didn't enjoy but i do it on my priv twitter #if i did that here on tumblr it would feel too public and like. most of the time i don't want to upset the author #to each their own etc #but i always need to ramble/rant after finishing a fic #i can't help but wonder about a comment i read on a fic i loved that felt comically mean though #outright saying they wish they had never read it. that the author never wrote it and would delete it #had i seen it anywhere else i might not have cared but this was the fic's comment section and i just... bro? #is it criticism or just hate or can st like that be counted as criticism? the question of a lifetime #i personally didn't approve of that but maybe that's bc i loved the fic and thought the commenter didn't get it? am i too biased? #i have way way WAY more thoughts on this topic but i would end up circling myself around #bc i'm just not sure of the answer #also i clicked “no” when i meant to click other... </3 #instinctual reaction is to consider author's feelings bc they're writing out of passion and not money #haven't come across exceptions to that internal rule...... yet #i literally didn't sleep last night am i making sense. am i coherent #poll
