The Sims 4 - Avatar Legacy Challenge

Water. Earth. Fire. Air.

Did you either smile in nostalgia or roll your eyes at the cliche of using the show’s intro? Are you looking for a legacy challenge that helps you explore different aspects of gameplay, all the while making fun callbacks to The Last Airbender series? Well, hotman, you’re in the right place!

This Avatar Legacy Challenge is a 4-13 generational challenge with themes surrounding characters, events, and locations from the Avatarverse, with enough wiggle room to make it fit your unique gameplay style.

Basic Rules

The purpose of this challenge is to complete the Avatar cycle by playing with 4 generations of the same family, but you may play up to 12 generations + 1 bonus gen with the current outline!

Each heir should represent their element or location by color scheme/style. You can base this on the show or your personal likes/dislikes.

You can live in any Sims world unless otherwise specified in the rules of a generation.

You can have as many children as you’d like unless otherwise specified in the rules of a generation.

Every generation is required to complete both the career and aspiration of the heir unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Every generation is required to max out at least 4 skills to represent the 4 elements in the cycle.

This challenge was partially inspired by the super fun Not So Berry Challenge! I wanted to play a similar challenge after seeing others play, but I knew my ADHD would leave me bored after 2 days of unintentionally recreating a popular streamer’s gameplay of the challenge. I wanted my own adventure and way to explore the game. Hopefully you can enjoy it, too! 

I spent a lot of time developing this challenge and will actually be sharing episodic gameplay once a week on my YouTube channel starting 4/30/22!!

I say it's a "CAS challenge" in the graphic but it's more like, for scenes, you know?

guess who's back, back again

lol jk but seriously, guys, Hope Brooklyn and I decided that our challenge needed a little ✨spice✨ so we changed things up! Some generations are the same, some are completely different, and some just have a few small changes. The biggest one you'll notice is we changed Gen 3 from Lemon to Grapefruit and completely changed that entire generation and we're much more excited about this one than we were about the other lol. We FINALLY finished our occults portion of this challenge and wanted to release this beforehand for all of you! We are going to keep the other rules up (you can find them here) so if you like that version better you can play that one instead! Either way we hope you have fun playing our challenge and we can't wait to see your sims through #fruitylegacychallenge!

Fruity Legacy Challenge - Occults!!!!

If you like adding drama, creating stories with your sims and delicious desserts, then you’ve found the right legacy challenge for you! This is a ten generation legacy that revolves around desserts and colors that you can base your sims on.

This legacy challenge, as of right now, uses multiple packs. 

I don’t want any control over your gameplay and/or story. I want you to make this all your own, so if you want to use cheats or anything like that go right ahead. If you want to start with 0 simoleons to make it even more challenging, do what your heart desires. Any traits, aspirations, careers, etc you think could be something else, use that instead. I truly just want everyone to have fun with this! Make this challenge your own, that’s what it’s here for!

THE SIMS 4: BARBIE Legacy Challenge!

oh hi there! i haven't posted here in a while, but i just watched the barbie movie a few days ago and needless to say, it is now my entire personality. so here's my first ever legacy challenge based on barbie's many, many careers and achievements!

apologies in advance, this challenge uses a lot of packs! i'm sorry! i might try to make a base game version at some point

challenge rules below the cut

All heirs must be female and named Barbie. (non-heir children may have any name)

You may use the freerealestate cheat for your first house, but try not to use money cheats after that!

You are allowed and encouraged to use lot traits and rewards to boost skill gain, anything that’s in-game is fair game.

Packs you will need:

EPs: Get To Work, City Living, Cats & Dogs, Get Famous, Island Living

GPs: Spa Day*, Parenthood

Optional packs (for the optional generations):

EPs: University, Cottage Living, Horse Ranch

GPs: Strangerville

*You only need Spa Day for the High Maintenance trait in one of the generations and nothing else, so it's fine to skip out on it.

You've been raised with traditional values: find a good man, start a family, be a homemaker... But you want your children to aim higher, so you'll make sure to set them up for success.

It was interesting to try to create a working-class lookbook. A lot of historical CC is high fashion, so I tried to capture what the everyday person might wear. The Mulligans are an Irish-American family in turn-of-the-century New England.

Kathleen's Suffragette Set

Kathleen Bowen lives in Washington, D.C. where her mother, aunt and older sister all belong to the National Woman's Party. Her life seems dull until the NWP plans a picket outside the White House. Though she's too young to participate, she helps by sewing banners and sashes and bringing hot drinks and bricks to the Silent Sentinels. The picket is largely met with indifference but when the U.S. enters the Great War, everything changes. Her sister splits away from the NWP, believing that focusing on the war effort will be the best way to win the vote, her aunt's marriage falls apart and her mother becomes one of many arrested on the charge of "obstructing traffic." As Kathleen spends the next several months worried about her family, she makes new friends and finds her niche in the most unlikely of places: Latin class.

Kathleen is one of my favorite Dear America characters and since I've yet to come across suffragette cc, my plans snowballed. It focuses on the U.S. and Britain and I took inspiration from My Story U.K.'s equivalent to Kathleen, Dollie Baxter. *Items above the cut are BGC, items below are not.

Suffragette hat with separate bow overlay (found in lip piercings) - Mesh edit of @waxesnostalgic's mushroom hats. The roses only come in yellow as a reference to when ratification of the 19th Amendment was being voted on in Tennessee: Yellow roses represented a "yes" vote and red roses represented "no." In the Dear America palette with one swatch added and a few removed.

Dollie dress - Same swatches as the hat.

Suffragette sash and button - Four swatches with purple/white/green and purple/white/gold found in left and right wrists. Designed around the Dollie dress with some clipping/pixilation. Will be hit or miss with any other outfit. Buttons in English and Simlish.

WSPU medal (U.K.), Jailed for Freedom Pin (U.S.) and Holloway Prison Brooch (U.K.) - Given to suffragettes who were imprisoned and participated in hunger strikes. These are recolors of a few medals from the military career. They do not require being in the career but do require StrangerVille. The WSPU medal has English and Simlish swatches. All fit in the medal display case, which can be unlocked with the cheat bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement. *Pic below the cut. You'll notice that the shadows are big. I looked in the warehouse tab in S4S but couldn't figure out how to fix them.
