besties! i’m back! never thought i would be but i’m grateful. i wanted to do a fun little writing thing to celebrate (can i even say that?) my return. so without further ado, welcome to c’s deli! step up to the counter and order as many sandwiches as your heart desires, and don’t be afraid to come back for more on your next lunch break!

examples of how to order at end of post :)

pastrami on rye: a classic sandwich that has so much potential, just like tropes! ordering a pastrami on rye allows you to pick any trope under the sun (just make sure you let the chef know which one!)

veggie delight on flatbread: a refreshing break from meat-loaded delicatessen sandwiches of decades past, it’s almost like it’s from another universe. a veggie delight on flatbread guarantees an au! again, just make sure you specify

cured salami on white: white bread is beyond fluffy, and so is this request! add a cured salami on white to your order to ensure there’s sufficient fluff, and feel free to include plotlines, dialogue, or just general vibes

cold cut combo on whole wheat: a somewhat disappointing sandwich when not done right… but it’s good for the agnst! make sure to grab this for your order if you want a little sad tug on your heartstrings. again, go into as much detail as you’d like (or not!)

house special on pumpernickel: aren’t feeling particularly fussy about what you get on your sandwich? just ask for a house special on pumpernickel and get whatever it is i’m feeling at the time!

build your own sandwich: nothing on the menu really tickling your fancy? that’s more than okay. order a build your own and include as many details as you’d like :)

the final step is giving a name for the order so the chef knows whose sandwich belongs to them! please don’t give me your personal information (i feel like that breaches the sacred rules of internet anonymity) but who you’d like all the sandwiches for. a finished request should go a little like this:

pastrami on rye and a cured salami on white for ryan graves, rivals-to-lovers with a cute confession

cold cut combo on whole wheat for matthew tkachuk where one person is falling out of love with the other

house special on pumpernickel for nico hischier

a build your own sandwich for joel farabee, home-opener vibes

this might make no sense, but i hope it does and that the examples help! i’m really looking forward to this and just hanging out with you all for a bit while i get back into the swing of things <3
