How do you start your own like Gemsona thing like how you have fire agate

Oh, like how I created/developed Fire?

When I started, I already had ideas in mind for her character and after some research I picked a gemstone I felt fit her the best. But there's no right way to create gemsona and there are multiple ways to do it.

The easiest way is already having a gemstone in mind. Researching that gem will be super helpful for you to get ideas about what kind of character they can be. I do recommend to look up scientific information along with historical and metaphysical as it could equally give you good stuff to brainstorm with. Here are some websites I've used over the years for it (there are plenty of other good ones so don't feel limited to just these):

And this way you'll have a smoother time deciding on the other building blocks for your character. There are a lot of ways to go about it, but you can follow a few guidelines and tutorials on how to flesh out your gem and design them.

But the most important rule about making gems is to have fun! Remember, there is no right way when making one. You can follow canon or be divergent. They are your creations and you have the freedom to whatever you want.

And don't stress if you don't get something down right away or you find your character changed. Fire Agate has gone through multiple changes over the many years I've had her and she only gets better with each one. The best thing when creating characters is go with a flow. An idea you had down before may change over time and that should be embraced.

I hope this helps. It's a bit broad, so if you have any more specific questions I'll try to answer them the best I can!

I got nostalgic and I remembered when a kid had some serious beef with Hackmanite to the point where they defaced his wiki page.

It always gets a good laugh out of me. I hope that kid is doing well.

#also please don't go hunting for them #the worst of the insults were 'ugly' and 'stupid poop' it's not worth getting mad over. I found it super funny #a kid hating a character for existing is a canonical event

Hey I don't recognize some of those Gems, who are they?

Ah, I may have mentioned this in my old teaser post. But if not, there are about a quarter of Gems included who have not been publicly introduced. A lot of these Gems I've had for many, many years but just didn't get to finish their designs largely due to my perfectionism fghjk. (At this point I'm in a mindset of just getting them out there and doing corrections later).

I do intend to make a separate post with a diagram of all of their names so you'll know who they are.

So unfortunately this STILL isn't done. I accidentally hurt my wrist drawing this over October (I was too in the zone and didn't take appropriate breaks whoops!). However, it's very close to being done and I figured I'd post something on the day of Steven Universe's 10th anniversary.

Yes, I am drawing EVERY Gem I own/created. This is how I found out I have made over 100 since I started making gemsona stuff. Craziness.

One thing I can't wait to share about my gemsona collage project are the handful of Gems I haven't publicly shared yet with varied levels of importance.

2nd batch of redrawns 

- Friedelite reside in an’ancient diamond colony who was forgotten for eons, her job was to sperimentize on the capability of fusions and forced fusions but she became fashinated about how does gems can fuse with each other and can have their own mind. After an accident (supposedly a suggestion that made her Diamond furious) which bought severe damange on Friedelite’s mind  leaving her face disfigured, she begin to work as a caretaker of failed fusions experiments (which she was thinking as “recreating something entirely new”), trying to give them form and a mind capable of autonomous actions, using spare diamond juice (provided by her diamond oblivious of her works) for this cause she transformed the fusion lab into a reabilitation center.

She is calm and comprensive,being able to destabilize fusions with the sole touch. For the other gems, she is like a savior and a point of inspiration, its hard to make her mad, but when she get mad, she expel a pawerful radiance, so bright that can stop nearby gems on the spot.

Her weapon is a sword made out of flame (which rarely use), is immune to fire, magma and other heat-related substances.

After the event of Future and Yellow Diamond’s new powers, she’s more curious about the repair process of gems and thinking more about how to talk to Yellow about her “experiments”.

- Crocoite (crocoite original design by @nrwynter ) work as Friedelite’s bodyguard, and adviser. She mostly shy but get the job done, neutralizing opponents and administrate the center under Friedelite’s guide.

 The two of them serve Red Diamond (idea work in progress)

- Hydrogrossular Garnet’s one of the work of Friedelite of giving forced fusions a mind on their own and to be complete (well mostly). Being made from half pieces of other garnets and a semi-whole pieces of pearls, she is confused most of the time and being completly oblivious about the memories of her componets pieces,but she try her best to live as a “normal” gem.

 So Steven Universe is finally ending, now i have had a very complicated relationship with the series, as i have liked and hated certain characters and decisions of the writters, but i still like the core idea behind the show and i also created a lot of gemsonas of which Heinrichite or simply Henry, has a special place on my heart, i decided to do an alternate design (not a redesign) and two fusions with gemsonas that also wear a robotic armor xD @nrwynter Hackmanite (Hackmanite + My Heinrichite makes Purple Creedite which is said to help one follow through and archieve their goals) and @tk-sketches Clear Quartz (I know he isnt a SU oc anymore but for old times sake, Clear Quartz + Heinrichite makes Epidote which is said to be an enhancing crystal)

Okay so this was supposed to be posted yesterday so pretend it's the 30th.

Like I did for Fire Agate, I wanted to celebrate Heinrich's "birthday" but with a twist. This is Heinrichite's new form! I did tease a concept of it some months back but new and improved!

Gosh, Heinrichite looks so cute!

Also someone should help Hackmanite he's been struck with the gay.
