Saw some TG post which says "I do like Aegon as a person, I feel a strong emotional connection with him. I think I'd just like to talk to him. You know, to have a long meaningful conversation."
And I'm really puzzled and even scared by this. First of all, what do you feel an emotional connection with? He's a rapist. What the fuck. Secondly, to talk to him? Girl, it's literally dangerous to be around him.
Yes… I don't see these long conversations very well, because the author of this opinion is probably a woman (I draw conclusions from experience, maybe I'm wrong) and the female servants were literally afraid to be around Aegon. If you were a woman of lower social status than him, you were literally in danger. Someone might be curious about Aegon. Dahmer was interesting to people as a psychopath and his disorders were psychologically interesting. This is Fritzl too, because apart from being a beast and a pedophile rapist, he was also a respected engineer and a great dresser, so you can be curious about him psychologically, but to like him as a person?
Aegon was a rapist. A multiple rapist. Confirmed, canonical, and not based on rumors like "DaEmOn SleEpS wItH oWn DaUgHtEr", because on this basis Aegon may even having a pedophile tendencies by have sex with a 12-year-old*. I understand that someone may be curious about him. But liking him as a person and having a strong emotional connection to him?
I like Daemon, but as a complex fictional character, and I wouldn't want to stand in his way in real life. I like Billy Russo from "The Punisher", but if I saw him on the road in real life, I would run away and call the police. Liking a fictional character, gray or villainous, is not the same as justifying them.''
* You see, there is a difference. Aegon having sex with a 12-year-old may have pedophilic tendencies, but Daemon giving a necklace to his 14-year-old niece and wanting to have sex with her when she was 18 is not the same and does not meet the definition of pedophilia

The reader does not have to agree with the author's opinion. The reader may have different views on life, moral values, and so on. That is why you can read a book and be on the side of those who are supposed to be bad because for YOU they are right, this is normal, such an opinion is valid.
But that doesn't mean YOUR opinion is better than the author's, who wrote the book with a specific intention in mind, so you can claim the author is wrong/stupid/blind/biased. And there are many statements in this tone.

“rhaenyra scammed house Velaryon” that’s correct. it was ONLY rhaenyra. no one else was involved. as we all know, laenor, famous haver of heterosexual sex was totally able and willing to give rhaenyra trueborn heirs but his bitch wife actually kicked him out of the bedroom whenever he tried :(. and he was so upset about them not being his biological sons and wanted to speak out about it but rhaenyra was actually holding a gun to his head everytime he was onscreen so he couldn’t :((. so when you make posts about the Velaryon boy’s parentage be sure to only mention rhaenyra!! she is the sole culprit behind this terrible crime.

Green stans not understanding the reason alicent attacked rhaenyra at driftmark just proves media literacy is fucking dead.
She literally says it. "Where is duty? Where is sacrifice?" Because she's angry Rhaenyra didn't lay down to suffer alongside her.
To her, Rhaenyra marrying who the crown told her to, to fix Viserys' alienation and insult of house Velaryon wasn't enough. Rhaenyra serving and participating on the Small council for years as heir wasn't enough. Rhaenyra swallowing her terror of childbirth to provide the throne with heirs wasn't enough. Sitting and ruling the heirs seat wasn't enough. Acting as heir and trying to solve problems such as the ep.2 Dragonstone conflict wasn't enough. She SAYS IT in episode 2- tells Rhaenyra, the **named heir** that it is not her place to question the plots of kings and men when Rhaenyra expressed the fear that they are plotting to set her aside and remarry her father.
Because she **cannot stand** that Rhaenyra dared to grasp for power and autonomy while doing these things. She cannot stand that Rhaenyra dared to try and be happy whilst also fulfilling her duties. She cannot stand that she did 'everything right' and 'served the kingdom, the family, the law' and is miserable and alone. She was queen for 20 years and only ever used her power to harm Rhaenyra and her children and to further her own abuse onto her own daughter.
All she used her power for was to protect Cole from the consequences of murdering a knight at a royal wedding. To protect Cole from the consequences of slandering the crown princess. To cover up Larys **murdering his family** because while she acted oh so horrified, it served her needs. To cover up Aegons abuses- and we see even as early as ep 6 that female staff are afraid of him.
To protect Cole from the consequences of **bullying and trying to harm** Rhaenyras sons in 'training.' To instill hatred and treason in her children against their sister. To explicitly allow Argon to bully Aemond as he likes so long as when they're in the public eye, they present a united front.
She did everything right but she's miserable and alone. Rhaenyra made the system that harmed women work for her, and wasn't. And she couldn't stand it. To her, Rhaenyra not accepting the rule and superiority of the men around them was the ultimate betrayal. Rhaenyra protecting herself from Alicent, who was above and all, primarily Otto's creature, by not sharing her secrets, was a crime.
Alicent didn't attack Rhaenyra and Luke for Aemond. She did it for herself.
And now the kingdom saw her for who she was. Jealous, greedy, grasping.
Nothing Rhaenyra ever did would be enough duty or sacrifice to her. Because Rhaenyra wasn't suffering alongside her. Olivia Cooke states as much herself.
She has become a tool of the patriarchy against other women. She ISNT the moral dutiful paragon she presents herself as.
Rhaenyra was right when she fired back with 'exhausting wasn't it? Hiding beneath the cloak of your own righteousness. But now they see you as you are." Because Alicent played her hand. She revealed the jealousy, the greed and that loathing she has towards Rhaenyra for simply not laying down beside her to suffer and sacrifice, whilst men rule and hold power.
She hates Rhaenyra for not serving men as women should- that's what she means when she calls Rhaenyra entitled. That's what she means when she says Rhaenyra 'tramples it under her pretty foot.'
Rhaenyra being the heir that a man 'should' be- that she wants her son to be, as payment for suffering and doing her duty- is a slap in the face to Alicent and she can't stand it. Nevermond that as shown in ep 2 and ep 6 that Rhaenyra is GOOD at it. That's why she scoffed in ep 6, that's why she dismissed Rhaenyras concerns and place in ep 2.
She cannot fucking stand it. And now they see her as she is.

It's crazy to me that some people think TB lost the war. How can you read a book and claim that TB lost, "black armies were crashed", and Aegon III was crowned because he was a relative of Aegon II…? I like both the Blacks and the Greens, because in my opinion each team has its pros and cons. I like Jace, but I also like Aemond. I'm not pro TB, but in my opinion they won because their troops were still fighting, just not for Rhaenyra, who lost to Aegon II, but for Aegon III. You can be pro TG, but you have to know that they lost…
Okay… "black armies were crashed"? Has this person heard of the Battle of the Kingsroad? It was the green troops who were crashed. Lords Tully and Blackwood led the troops that defeated Baratheon's army, and were later joined by Cregan's troops, where together they attacked King's Landing from both sides. There were no Green troops to oppose them, so Aegon II was advised to surrender.
Cregan Stark said (this is my translation, I have the Polish version): "Queen Rhaenyra also thought she was victorious when she took King's Landing, and Aegon II thought he had ended the war by giving his sister to the dragon. But the queen's people are still in the world, even if the queen herself is dead and Aegon is only bones and ashes."
"Two years ago, Cregan Stark made a promise to Prince Jacaerys, and now he has come to fulfill it, even though Jace and his mother the Queen are already dead."
Aegon III became king because he was the son of Rhaenyra and the brother of Jacaerys, to whom Cregan made a promise. Aegon II could name anyone he wanted as his heir, even a goat, but Aegon III would still take the throne.
But okay, let TG live in their own world where TB are the losers.

My new favourite bullshit rhetoric from TG is ‘George is TB bias’ like it’s not bias you fucking idiots. This isn’t a good vs good or picking between the lesser evil story. George wrote very clear protagonists and antagonists in the Dance and TG were NOT the protagonists.
I can’t with their level of delusion 😭
And since when author of a book can't have favorites… in his own book? Who, if not the author, determines who is good/better and who is bad/worse in a conflict? Who is the winner and who is the loser?
Seriously, TG say that "HBO is bad and stupid and favors TB, and TG are right" because the writers and producers are stupid and don't know the "truth" about Dance (well, we can partially agree here…), but I guess GRRM knows something about it after all :P? Sometimes I really have the impression that TGs think they know more and know better about F&B than the author :D

Okay, I'll just leave this piece of nonsense without comment, okay? Claiming that Daemon slept with his daughter and commenting on the actors' appearance because someone made a joke is below the level I want to talk about. So I'll just say: the weather is nice today, the sun is shining and it's warm 😊

Have you watched this new promo with Tom and Ewan? Some moment seem rude to me, but I'm not sure, what do you think?
I didn't watch it. I don't watch most of the interviews, only trailers and teasers. For my own good, lol. I've only seen gifs scrolling through the hotd tag and I don't think I'm missing much.

Not the greens, who have been whining for a week about TB actors who "insulted" them, and now glorify Tom and Ewan, who joked about Luke's death in today's video. Nooo waaayyy
These same people call Matt a "Neanderthal" and feel like "wanting to punch him when he opens his mouth," so, well, yeah. Who expected anything different from them?

It’s very telling Nyra doesn’t even like this person and she lowers herself to beg her to believe her. She’s swearing on her mother. The scene tells us everything we need to know about why Nyra CAN’T tell Allicent what really happened. And I agree, aside from how serious it really is, she owes her nothing of her true thoughts 👍🏼
Rhaenyra didn't owe an ounce of honesty to Alicent. And even if she wanted to, she couldn't be honest. How can anyone not know this? Alicent would have immediately told Otto, and Otto took advantage of the situation to get Rhaenyra out of his way to the throne. He sent spies after her. It's obvious he was looking for an excuse.

Hello Dear Team Black Friends, I think the story everyone is searching out is this one. Daemon is not abusive. She is not a child when they get together. And they talk about everything, a lot. The brothel, wedding, Laena, Daemon leaving especially. So much resolution. It's one of the most IC I have seen them written too. And the revenge is some of the best, and IC! Big warning for miscarriages. But it's a weird comfort story because Daemyra get all the therapy they need together. I recommend it all the time! Perfect for a long rainy day of nothing but a good book!! ❤️❤️Bigger Than The Whole Sky by @charlie-leau ❤️❤️
Yes, this is this fic!

I keep seeing people (mostly delulu TG) saying have pity or understand poor Allicent. And I’m like, no. I don’t have to ‘understand’ anything. I can call a c*nt a c*nt. TB is making good points. But what I haven’t seen anyone point out is that Rhaenyra had zero reason to tell Allicent the truth about the brothel. Allicent was standing in front of her acting (judging) like she was still her trusted friend. And Rhaenyra had barely started speaking to her again. Rhaenyra’s ‘virtue’ is held up as one of if not the most important thing about her. Saying it is treason. Admitting it would ruin Rhaenyra. And here she is in front of this proven deceitful person. Who would immediately tell the King. Whose own father she admitted was actively trying to bring her down. This person you know for a fact is a liar. Who is speaking down about your family in front of you. Why on earth would you tell THAT person your biggest secret?! It would be daft. Rhaenyra had no personal or political reason to tell her. And Allicent has no right to be angry about it. She has no right to the heir’s, princess, or Rhaenyra’s trust and confidence. She lost that on her own, years ago. Rhaenyra made the best decision for many, many reasons. Too many to count.
I have some understanding for young Alicent, but I lost it completely in the fifth episode.
Alicent had no right to demand that Rhaenyra be honest with her. Alicent herself lied to Rhaenyra for months, because she visited Viserys for months before he asked if she was telling Rhaenyra about it. And she didn't say anything, even though Rhaenyra was worried about her father remarrying. Alicent lied to her and took advantage of her new status, and Rhaenyra was supposed to be honest with her? After Alicen's father sent spies after her? After Alicent's father and his brother proclaimed Aegon "the second of his name"? Rhaenyra had no reason to be honest with Alicent. Alicent was so outraged that Rhaenyra dared to lie to HER that she decided to endanger the lives of her children and start an open war at the wedding. If Viserys hadn't been Viserys, she might have regretted it that very evening.

* I believe Otto kept Rhaenyra isolated. If his daughter was her only companion and she had no other ladies, it gave him and his house more advantages. Always talking in the crown’s ear
* Viserys depended on him, Rhaenyra was dependent on his daughter kind of thinking.
*I know that story! It’s incredible. I’ll send it shortly ;)
Well, maybe it was. But Margaery had five or six girls in her company, and Rhaenyra would only have one? Even Harvin's sisters were cut out, so after breaking off her friendship with Alicent, Rhaenyra had no one. This could be explained by Otto's shenanigans, but I missed girlish Rhaenyra, dressed in silks and jewelry, spending time with the girls :(
and I will be grateful :)

‘:( I read a Daemyra story recently Nyra had the same troubles and author was peak angst and resolution *chef's kiss’ - Will u please share Nonnie?! Always looking for GOOD not abusive or underage quality Daemyra fics!!! And this one sounds interesting 👀 Thanks! 🙏🏼
Yeah, Allicent is just a bitter-jealous-cunt. Ignore her much as possible. Don’t even know why our girl was ever friends w/ her. She was snotty from jump 😆
I read it too, but I can't find the link :( Jace, Luke and Joffrey didn't exist there, the fic was quite long, Visenya survived, so if anyone has the link, I'd like that too.
I wonder why Rhaenyra was only friends with her. Where's the rest? Where are the ladies in waiting? She was a princess!

Aegon would actually have made a more interesting villain for Rhaenyra than Whineycent because, so far, he seems to be the only one among the Greens who is not as woobified as the rest and, unlike Alicent, he seems to be more self aware from what we saw. And also because emphasizing on the Rhaenyra vs Aegon conflict would have been closer to canon. It's such a shame they didn't even get to interact once in S1.
Well, that's what's funny to me. Are we really supposed to see Aegon and Rhaenyra's first conversation on screen just before she dies? What kind of emotional charge will it have when they are just two strangers? Aegon is "Alicent's son". Not a half-brother, not a brother, not anything, but "Alicent's son", because Alicent is more important than anything…?

Too right! The only way Allicent being betrayed finding out about Sir Incel makes sense is if a) she had a thing for him b) she had a thing for Rhaenyra ..... either is still jealously and that's a personal problem of hers. Like those f-boys who get mad because how dare you not like them. She lied about Daemon. Rhaenyra didn't do anything to her. But she still threw a fit for over ten years because of it 🤪🤪🤪
For me, Alicent was just angry that Rhaenyra didn't suffer like she did. Alicent was married to a man she didn't love and wasn't attracted to, so Rhaenyra should be too. Alicent was lying in bed like a driftwood, so Rhaenyra shouldn't feel any pleasure either. Alicent is sour, so everyone should be.
I just wonder what Alicent would think if it turned out that Criston was lying because Otto bribed him just like Cersei Whitecloaks did in the Margaery case. Alicent immediately believed Criston and declared war, sitting at the royal wedding like an offended teenager.

It makes me really sad to think of Nyra watching her witch ex-besty giving birth, mourning the loss of her own wonderful mother :( I read a Daemyra story recently Nyra had the same troubles and author was peak angst and resolution *chef's kiss*
I think Rhaenyra was still worried about Alicent despite everything. She was worried about the fact that she was traveling in such an advanced stage of pregnancy, so she was probably still worried at the beginning about whether Alicent and her children would survive. Rhaenyra had lost her mother and siblings because of this, so she understood. Alicent knew that Rhaenyra had lost her mother and siblings in such a way, and she still demanded a child even before Rhaenyra delivered the placenta…
