I had a bizarre dream that they made an Owl House comic series, beginning like a couple days before the finale, and introduced a male childhood best friend of Luz’s (controversially) who was genuinely pretty innocuous aside from the mild retconning of his existence into the series. He wasn’t very popular.

There was a running gag where whenever he found out about Witches or the Boiling Isles, someone (mostly Gus) would alter his memory to forget it and then that person just wouldn’t mention it. It was kind of funny, but then it got revealed that altering someone’s memory a bunch could massively damage someone’s mind. This is revealed in a separate plot line where Lilith changes her coworker’s memories mildly.

Then Luz tried to alter his memory for some reason involving not being ready to talk about the Boiling Isles, without knowing other people had done that a bunch, and that was basically the final straw for his brain’s integrity.

At the end of that season, he showed back up with hallucinations, delusions of grandeur, and very mood swingy as he tried to fuse the two worlds into one (it’s complicated). He was a lot more popular as a character after that.

When I woke up, I felt kind of bad for him. At least there was no weird romantic subplot though.

TLDR I had a dream the characters of the Owl House induced schizoaffective disorder in some guy.

On one hand I’m glad they stopped River Monsters because they caught all the major freshwater fish. On the other hand, there’s an alternate timeline where they started to use genetic engineering and breeding practices to create new River Monsters.

I have to admit, I’m curious about that world.
