Caan can hardly believe he is having yet another run-in with Rose Tyler. As she stands before him, eyes wide with confusion, it partially feels right that they are meeting in this way. Rose touched him and brought him life all those years ago – so many years, from his perspective. She introduced him to feelings : fear, confusion, even peace. Now, Caan felt all of them. In his human form, he was assimilated, aware of human emotion and able to experience it, but he had all the knowledge of a Dalek. Yet, Rose still recognized him somehow. 

Caan squints his eyes at her inquiry.    ( What happened to him? )    Oh, where to begin. However, he would not delve into any of it with her, though he strangely felt compelled to. Even after all this time, and with Caan in a human form, their link did not appear to be fully severed. He wondered if she felt it too.
