When I made this post just ten days ago, it was about mass graves discovered at Al Shifa hospital and now we have learned that the same had happened at Nasser hospital in Gaza. The same genocidal pattern: a hospital is put under siege, patients and medical staff are abducted, tortured and buried in mass graves.
But to build on the last point I wanted to bring attention to in the previous post, it is very crucial to also keep in mind is that the Palestinian Civil Defence have reported that Israel had deliberately concealed the identities of those it killed and buried in these mass graves. Close to 400 bodies have been buried in these mass graves, 58% of the recovered bodies have not been identified.
In a press conference, a spokesperson of the civil defence in Gaza said that Israel had intentionally disfigured the bodies postmortem in order to remove any identifying markers such as birthmarks. He also mentioned that they suspect that the bodies have been placed in body bags that expedited the decomposition process, destroying any possibility of them being identified.
One of the main and only ways families have been able to identify the bodies of their loved ones is through the clothes they remember them wearing the last time they saw them. I saw a video of a mother identifying her son by his striped jacket. You can see the grief mixed with relief that she will be able to give her son proper burial.
Remember when months ago I said that to be identified and buried in Gaza has become a luxury? This is very much still the case.

The way that like 90+ percent of the true crime cases featured on shows like Dateline and forensic files involve a man murdering a woman, most often his wife or girlfriend (or a woman he had sexual contact with like a prostitute) and we鈥檙e just supposed to accept the fact that we live in a world where men kill the women they love sometimes, and no this obviously isn鈥檛 about misogyny these are isolated crimes of passion, and shouldn鈥檛 you be grateful that your husband only screams at you or hits you instead of killing you?

Picasso almost ended Dora Maar's career, convincing her, when they were a couple, to quit photography because he was intimidated by her talent. There is a long list of artists suppressed by the petty hacks of European modernist movements, and a longer list of female innovators erased from public memory. Leonora Carrington and Dorothea Tanning met similar resistance; Andre Breton and Dal铆 both also being misogynistic megalomaniacs who vanguarded surrealism from women; Henry Miller writing to Ana茂s Nin that her stories were garbage and should be disregarded, only for her to discover whole sections copied word for word in his novels years later, all while she financed his existence.
Francoise Gilot finally gets an exhibition after this hack successfully ruined her chances of success as an artist while she lived, and her name is still omitted.
Rebecca Solnit suggests that the fact that the question "what is your mother's maiden name?" is often used for security measures is a meaningful indicator of the extent of women's erasure. What's in a name? A lot. If one's claim of one's own name meant nothing then colonisers wouldn't need to strip them from the colonised, and men wouldn't need to erase them in marriage, from history books and from reportage.

So we all know that Tumblr is US-centric. But to what degree? (and can we skew the results of this poll by posting it at a time where they should be asleep?)
Reblog to increase sample size!

Cults are not just a white people thing. Especially in the US, predatory high control groups actively target disenfranchised people, especially immigrant populations who don't have the best grasp of English, and entered the country with a head full of American exceptionality propaganda.

Since the OP made their post unrebloggable (and blocked me. Both actions they are well in with their right to do)
I'm going to make my response it's own post because I think the point is important
-
As someone who is autistic and has BPD and CPTSD and loads of trauma yes you sometimes need to change how you interact with others to keep people around
When I was 13 I hit the few friends I had when I was angry
I had to change that in order to keep those friendships
When I was in my early 20s if I was losing an disagreement with my husband I would threaten to kill myself. My husband told me it hurt him and was cruel and manipulative behaviour, because it was.
So I worked hard to change that to keep my relationship
It's easy to say "I shouldn't have to change for others" and that's true to an extent. You shouldn't change your interests or passions or dim your light. And you should have space to be imperfect and flawed and not have to pretend your ugly bits aren't real. But if something you are doing it causing other people harm you kinda need to change that.
That's called "living in a society"
People adapt to each other and make space for each other in their lives. You adapt to them and they adapt to you
You start being more diligent about throwing away the empty toilet roll because it really bothers them. They start warning you before they run the blender because you hate loud noises
I stopped threatening to kill myself because I was mad I was losing an argument and my husband stopped being so vocally judgemental amount media he personally dislikes
There is a certain type of person who heard the phrase "your emotions are valid" and took that to mean "my emotional reactions and my behaviour are always objectively correct because my emotions are valid and if you have an emotional response or react to what I'm doing negatively then you are wrong and you can't be hurt because my emotions are valid"
And that's a recipe for disaster
Your emotions are valid to feel. They are how you feel and there are reasons you feel the way you do
However, your reactions and behaviour are something you can learn to control and can be irrational
We live in a society and we as people change each other as we interact and that isn't necessarily a bad thing

US-backed Israhell has been and continues to starve and deprive Palestinian people. Having access to basic necessities like food and water is a HUMAN RIGHT. This is beyond horrific.
