🔮 He’s mostly like a wallflower, just leaning back observing his surroundings.

🔮 So when he saw you the first thing that came to his mind was “Woah, you fine asl”.

🔮 No matter how short or long the length of the locs are, he’ll still admire you from afar.

🔮 It’s a situation of “look but don’t touch”. Mainly because he is quite introverted and will not make the first move unless you two are forced to interact. Plus he doesn’t want to offend you by outlandishly staring at your hair. It’s all admiration, zero fetishization for you.

🔮 If you have locs longer than chin length, he loves seeing your hair down. When they cascade over your shoulder and just lay there. Once a relationship is there, and if you allow him, he’s the type to unconsciously play with a little loc or two.

🔮 Secretly gets excited when you ask him to help you with your hair. Don’t rush him to hold a section or to just get it off your neck, he gotta wipe the sweat off his hands before giving his assistance.

🔮 Has an extremely gentle hold on your hair. His hands (oh his hands) are large enough to hold all your locs in one. He’s glad to be a great help on wash days. Shampooing? Hot oil treatment? Just a regular head massage? Just say the word. He’ll be at the door, smirk stretched across his face saying “Does my baby need me?”

🔮 Will kiss the tears on your fingers if you need to retwist your locs (bro the pain is worst than a papercut)

🔮 After you both are done with your hair routine. He just stays on the couch, cuddling into your neck because he’s obsessed with the tropical smells from your hair products.

🥽 Another one who secretly admires from the shadows. You’re most likely a fellow teacher and he intends to have a professional relationship with everyone (clearly that fails bc all the other teachers are hella friendly). He’ll be very grateful for a water cooler conversation with you so he can have a front seat view of your black beauty.

So, FYI you guys, sometimes if you go to your favorite writers and flail at them a lot about how much you love their fics with lots of specific examples, they will let you read thousands of words of their unpublished WIPs and you can flail even more. Also sometimes after that you get to be friends, too, and help them come up with ideas. And vice versa! This is pretty much the best thing in the world and it is called fandom.

Can you please tell me what writers want. Some say they want more interaction and as a fan I try and do that only to get vague responses in return which makes me not want to interact at all. Honestly I wish I would get asks about anything so I really don't know what to do anymore. Maybe I should be on tumblr to read and thats it, no interaction no nothing

Okaaaay....

I really can’t talk for all writers. I mean, some apparently don’t care about interaction at all 🤷🏻‍♀️ (oh to be them). All I can do is answer for myself, and open up the discussion for other writers (again).

All I want from a reader is a reblog. That’s it. I’m not going to ask for a comment when I know that that can be a scary concept for some, but if you reblog, someone else might see it and they might feel comfortable commenting.

I don’t get any interaction on this blog outside of posting my stories (or controversial opinions), so I live for seeing people interacting directly and I will always comment back on any reblogs I get, because that is why I post. I only post for the interaction. If I wanted to be ignored then I would just write and keep it to myself tbh.

When you say you only get vague responses, I’m not sure what you mean, but I will say that you are always making a writers day by commenting or sending asks (on anon or not). The fact that some responses might be “vague” shouldn’t bother you. You have done what you needed to do, said thank you for the content that has been given to you, a writer has already done the hard part by writing it and posting the story.

I honestly think at this point we should be asking what readers want because writers asking for a reblog repeatedly doesn’t seem to do anything 🤷🏻‍♀️

JONATHAN FERRELL was asking for help after an auto accident. He was shot twelve times by police, case ended in mistrial.

JORDAN EDWARDS was riding in a car and was shot in the back of the head by a police officer, who was found guilty of murder.

STEPHON CLARK was holding a cell phone, and was shot 8 times, 6 in the back. The officers were not charged.

AIYANA JONES was sleeping and was accidentally shot by an officer in a raid on wrong apartment. Officer cleared of all charges.

TERRENCE CRUTCHER needed help when his vehicle broke down. Was shot by a police officer who was found not guilty of manslaughter.

ALTON STERLING was selling CDs, and was shot at close range while being arrested. No charges filed.

FREDDIE GRAY was beaten to death by officers while being transported in police van. All officers involved were acquitted.

JOHN CRAWFORD was shopping at WalMart, holding a BB gun that was on sale—police officer was not charged for his murder.

MICHAEL BROWN was shot twelve times by an officer, including in the back. No charges filed.

JORDAN DAVIS was killed because he was playing loud music. Shooter found guilty of first-degree murder.

SANDRA BLAND was pulled over for traffic ticket; was tasered and then arrested. Suspicious “suicide” while in jail. No charges.

BOTHAM JEAN was fatally shot in his home, which female officer ¿mistook for her own? (Which I’ll never understand.) Officer found guilty of murder.

OSCAR GRANT was handcuffed and placed face-down, officer then shot him in the back. Officer found guilty of involuntary manslaughter.

COREY JONES was waiting by his car which was broken down, and was shot three times by police officer, who was found guilty of murder.

AHMAUD AUBREY was jogging. He was shot by two racist men who claimed they suspected him of burglaries. Both men were charged with murder and aggravated assault.

GEORGE FLOYD was suspected of alleged fraud. He handcuffed and pinned to the ground by an officer’s knee. He begged for mercy and he was ignored.

ERIC GARNER: Stopped for selling cigarettes on a nyc street and choked by a cop in broad daylight. Complications of the stress put on his throat by the hold caused his death; Openly said “I can’t breathe” several times and pretty much died while three other cops watched their compatriot kill a man. Eric was well known for just trying to sell goods as a side hustle and never actually hurt anybody.

DJ HENRY was fatally shot in his car by police officer Aaron Hess in the early morning hours of Oct. 17, 2010. DJ's passengers say they were doing nothing wrong when Hess ran out in front of them in the road. Hess says he only fired because he was in fear for his life. Hess later admitted to lying on multiple occasions after DJ’s death about the shooting.

These were all murders. They were not accidental. All of these innocent people: men, women AND children. Were murdered because they were black. Not because they were violent. Not because they were threatening, but because they were black. Something has to change. We have to MAKE a change. Black lives matter. Black men. Black women. Black children. Non-Binary blacks. Trans blacks. Every single one of their lives matter. Your friends. Your neighbors. Your teachers. Your brothers. Your sisters. We are the change.

summary: when Steve finally gets Bucky to the compound safely he calls on some help from a friend to watch him until everything calms down

a/n: jeez it’s been a long time huh, and this is still short 

Five minutes. I have only five minutes to find him and that’s max. I have no problem leaving him and it would be perfect payback to Steve. No harm is done if he’s left… right. 

I try to convince this to myself while walking to the exit. Leaving him was not a bad thing. I look at the outside of the door. I turn around annoyed quickly walking to the men’s section again to look for him. Leaving him would be like leaving a lost puppy. He’s going to try and find his way back home and I can’t have anyone trying to find me. 

One minute wasted. 

Two minutes left and I still haven’t found him. One of them was used standing at the checkout counter where we were supposed to meet. At this point, I have no idea where he could be. 

One minute left. The nerves are getting to me now. I’m taking one more brisk walk around the store in search for Bucky. I slightly tense up as I see two men dressed in all black looking around. I slyly make my way into the dressing rooms which were to my knowledge empty. I cross by an open dressing room and was snatched into one. I was ready to fight as the person drug me back into the large room. I was not going back there, I’d rather die than be under their control again. The person quickly turns me around and I waste no time swinging a left punch to throw them off. I was surprised when a hard, cold, and may I add metal hand caught mine. 

“So you saw them too?” Bucky asks still holding my fist in his hand. I keep my relief off my face and snatch my fist out of his hand. “We need to find a way out of here,” I say peaking out of the stall. 

“Are they here for me?”

“They don’t look like anyone from Hydra.”

“Why are they-“ I cut him off by shoving him against the wall out of anger. 

I was fuming “Bucky I get it you’re confused but please shut the fuck up. I will answer all three of your questions, One: yes I saw them. Two: they’re not Hydra. Three: they’re here for me. “His face grows slightly pale as he nods. “Now keep your mouth shut and follow me.” I grit out angrily.  He lets out a shaky sigh and nods. 

I peek back out into the still empty dressing rooms, I motion him to come out. He follows closely behind. I can say I was impressed by his quiet footsteps for his large size. We step out of the dressing rooms and I see one of them out the corner of my eye. I turn to face Bucky and cup his face with my right hand and I flip my hair to the right as well distorting our faces. 

“Bucky, in thirty seconds you need to find a new outfit and meet me back here no distractions.” I say before walking away. I beat Bucky by fifteen seconds getting clothes that gave me time to change. When I finish changing Bucky was waiting like he was supposed to.  

“Change quickly.” I demand and he walks into a stall. And he follows the command changing in a stunning ten seconds and we were out of the mall in twenty. 

“Bucky drive.” 

He lets out a sigh “No keys.“ I send him a deadly look. 

He looked straight into my eyes looking non-regretful. I reach into the glove compartment and pull out a screwdriver  “Hotwire the car.” I said through gritted teeth. He pulled the seat back and grabbed the tool out of my hand. I leaned against the window looking out the rearview seeing the three black SUV’s a few rows behind us. My eyes would dart from the cars to the mall’s entrance. 

“Bucky you need to hurry up.” I rush wanting to get a head start. But when I see at least six men dressed head to toe in black my rushing became persistent. 

“Bucky,” I warn watching them get into the car. He’s not going to be done by the time they leave. I watch the cars revive up and my breathing quickens. I take a deep breath and place my hand on Bucky’s shoulder. I wasn’t strong enough to do what I was doing. Blocking out six people’s sight of us, I was definitely pushing my self.

Bucky looked at the cars as they all rolled by looking them dead in the face but kept moving. When all the cars had passed I let go of him and slumped back into the seat, from exhaustion. A few seconds later I heard the car start. 

“Do you remember how to get-“ 

“Yes.”
