I'm rereading so I'm gonna be extra annoying for a bit. But listen, this part caught my attention:

Is Megumi not contradicting himself? Or does he just view saving people as being part of a sorcerer's job and nothing heroic? If it's the latter, he's very similar to Nanami in that sense.

I also think his words in the last panel are extremely relevant to 261. Once again, they've been telling us exactly how it goes down in their part of town and we just haven't been listening very well.

Gojo really did not move on from that day 😕

Now that we've calmed down a bit let's look at this through different lense okay? Gege gave us gojo, the whole fandom was asking for it, even after his death, even though we knew his death was probably the only time gojo really felt peaceful. His story was done and he could've rested but everyone wanted him back. No, we needed him back because we were hopeless because we believed that if there was someone who can truly stand against sukuna it was gojo and in certain twisted way it exactly parallels what the characters were thinking too. They believed gojo wouldn't lose, so they agreed to this plan as worst case scenario because if not gojo himself, atleast his body will be of help. Hate gege all you want but he really played our jokes on us, he's writing what everyone wanted from him (bring gojo back!!) but he's showing the cruel reality of what happens when you reject death and how far do you have to go to reject death. Everyone is out here hating yuuta and shoko as if they aren't the same people who were advocating for gojo comeback without taking into account how and why should he come back when he was already satisfied with his ending.

you know how geto was always in pursuit to be better, to be stronger because he had to catch up with gojo because he thought gojo was the strongest and to achieve his ideal world he had to be more like gojo. and in the recent panel here

gojo kept thinking he was the one who needed to catch up with suguru, his ideals and what he saw in the jujutsu world. both of them felt like they were the one being left behind and tried their best to grasp the other's understanding of jujutsu world, to be more like each other, their dream was the same aka safer place for younger generation and i wonder if they actually were able to talk it out how much of this could've been changed. how so much of all these sacrifices wouldn't be needed then.
