Original song: A Thousand Years by Christina Perri
Lyrics:
Ma sa'lath (My one love)
How has it come to this
How quickly met
How quickly now must we forget
It all
You're destined to take a throne
And it's quite clear, Ferelden can never be my home
Halamshiral (The end of the journey)
You must go down a road I can't follow
Mythal (Dalish goddess, the Protector and the All-Mother), pray, keep you safe For tomorrow
If we do survive
Be parted for the rest our lives
Suledin (The concept of finding strength in enduring loss/pain)
Must heed the Warden's call
Pray you'll forgive
I will not let Falon'Din (Friend of the dead, guides those who pass beyond the veil) take away
The man who believed in me
Ma emma lath (You are my love)
I'm the one meant to take that fall
Halamshiral
You must go down a road, I can't follow
Mithal, pray, keep you safe, for tomorrow
You will be a king
Ferelden's lord, it's everything
Who'd believe, amid a war, I would find you?
Though I tread beyond the Veil
I'll be with you, you are not alone
You will always be my home
Crowns can't change that
Death can't break that
[Chorus:]
I must go down a road you can't follow
Ma vhenan (my heart), dry your tears, do not sorrow
You must carry on
Your people need you to be strong
Don't believe even death could take me from you
Though I tread beyond the Veil
I'll be with you, this is not goodbye
I'll meet you on the other side
The relationships we have in life will change like the seasons, that’s a promise. The value of those relationships depends on what we take away from them.
We’re a product of our experience. All our mistakes and success have combined to create the person we are now, so let’s appreciate them for that.
Struggles make us stronger, and encountering other human beings not only teaches us about the world around us, but also the world within us.
Whether friend or foe, everyone we encounter becomes our teacher. Some of the lessons are obvious and slap us in the face, others are hidden, and we have to keep our minds open, continue keep digging to discover them.
Everything that comes our way is a double edged sword, it all depends on which side of the blade we want to focus on.
