Hey, so after reading my matchup again, I got an idea for a head-canon. I'm not sure if this has already been asked, but headcanons with Shino that has a S/O who has a fear of bugs, but doesn't want that to ruin their relationship with Shino and tries to work on it ( side note: gotta love that auto correct changes Shino to Rhino).

Shino with a s/o that is afraid of bugs

A/N: YES!! I love you and I’m sorry this took forever but I finally got around to it!

You were one of the first people to actually pay attention to Shino when he tried to say something; always letting him finish his sentence before turning your attention away. Thats what attracted him to you at first and with the knowledge that you were willing to give him your attention, he clung helplessly to you. So when you and Shino were on a missions together when you first started dating, he brushed off the fact that you were skittish at the sight of his bugs. You liked him, right? You wanted to give him attention didn’t you?

But one day, when the two of were laying down on the outskirts of town, sitting around and chatting about your lives, a spider crawled up your thigh. He watched you stand up and shriek, desperately swatting at the bug that was now long gone. He stared at you and despite the glasses and the long collar, you could tell he looked like a kicked puppy. “You don’t like bugs do you, y/n?”

It was strange how he hadn’t found out sooner, being blissfully ignorant would have been the best possible solution. How could he have not noticed your uncomfortable stare at the sight of his bugs, or when he mentioned a new species of beetle? Hell how had he not noticed your fear when he took you out on adventures to find rare insect species. It hurt him, it really did, but he wasn’t gonna give up on you, it was a minor hiccup... Nothing he couldn’t work through, right? Not everyone liked bugs, but he could make you get used to him. One thing you were both sure of was that you were not going to let you go of your relationship so easily. So Shino decided to take the initiative and start things slow...

“You should get used to my bugs first, at least.” They’re apart of him and it really makes him sad that there’s a part of you that may be disgusted slightly by him, so he’s eager to start things there. You two are sitting on a field (Shino brought a blanket so that you wouldn’t have to encounter any other bugs in the process) and he’s letting his bugs slowly crawl up your arm.

Despite his typical reserved attitude, he lets you sit between his legs with your back resting against his chest as he lets the bugs crawled up your skin, his other arm wrapped comfortingly around your waist. His neck was against your shoulder, peering over to watch your face as his bugs gently crawled up your skin. You were scared, like really scared and you’re eyes were kind of squeezed shut, “open your eyes, y/n. You can do it, they’re mine, they’re not going to hurt you.”

At his words, you slowly you peel them open and see them crawling gently up your arm, there was only four or five and one of them was crawling on the palm of your hand. You lifted your arm and carefully held your hand to your face to examine the bug up close. “Hey, they’re actually kind of cute.” Looking at them up close they seems harmless and at the mercy of Shino, you knew they wouldn’t hurt you. The little bug began to crawl between your fingers and even though the touches were all feather light, the sensation made you giggle. Soon your little giggles became huffs of laughter and at first Shino thought you may have been crying, “Y/n-“ then he realized you were laughing and you could tell by the vibration of his chest against your back that he was laughing too.

The next step in tackling your fear of bugs was the house critters. One night, you told Shino sleepily that you were going to draw yourself a bath before going to bed. As you yawned and lazily walked into the bathroom you were met with a rude awakening as a giant spider skittered across the floor. Immediately you shrieked, dropping your fresh change of clothes and practically jumping onto Shino as he came running at the sound of your panicked voice.

“What is it-“ He grunted in surprise as you threw yourself on top of him, making sure your feet weren’t in reach of the creature skittering across the floor. Unluckily for you, the spider skittered right onto your abandoned laundry on the floor. That caused you to practically shriek in Shino’s ear. The arms of your fluffy robe strangled his neck as you clung on for dear life. “Shino! Oh my - Shino, Shino!!! It’s in my clothes now!!” (As If he couldn’t see it himself) “It’s probably running all over my pajamas!!” Your babbling continued into his ear as he tried to calm you down.

He sat you on the edge of the bathtub, letting you hide your legs in the sanctuary of the tub as he bent down to shake out your pile of abandoned clothes out. “Be careful, Shino!” You squeal, curling your body into itself as you watched him through blurry eyes. After shaking out every article of clothing except your towel, he picked it up and shook, the spider came out tumbling onto the cold floor. You screamed again and Shino hushed you before bending down to cup the spider gently into his hands.

To your dismay he brings the spider towards you as it paces around his cupped palms. He persists despite your objection, knowing he’s not putting you in any danger as the bug is a simple house spider and no where near harmful. “Y/n, it’s harmless, just look at it.” And just like with his own bugs, you let it crawl onto your hands, sucking in your rapid breaths and you realized that it really was harmless. “Now let’s set it outside.”

After readjusting your robe and slowly stepping out of the bathtub, Shino opened the window and he watched as you set the spider gently onto the sill. The two of you watched as it slowly crawled out. “See? Nothing to be afraid of.”

Of course there were some insects you couldn’t quite love; like moths and centipedes, but Shino didn’t need you to love all bugs. Not yet at least. He would take you with him on adventures to find certain beetles or rare butterflies and the more you joined him, the less skittish you became. Soon enough you stopped screaming for help when a bug flew into the apartment, opting instead to take Shinos wide range of passed down insect knowledge and use it to guide the insect out of the apartment. Even though it was a minuscule act, Shinos heart couldn’t have swelled any bigger.

General Relationship Headcanons - Sabo, Mihawk, and Katakuri

Sabo

Sabo is quite the romantic partner, and this does not only account for how sweet he is to you. He’s almost always thinking of you to the point where those from the Revolutionary Army tease him about being nearly obsessed with you.

There’s never a dull moment between you two as he’s pretty adventurous and likes to have you along on his journeys, unless he fears that it’s too dangerous. Nevertheless, he loves showing you new parts of the world and bringing you new experiences.

Like his brothers, Sabo is pretty reckless most of the time, and knowing this, you’re normally the one who volunteers to look after him. He’s not as reckless as Luffy is, but he is driven by his emotions like both Luffy and Ace are.

What makes him fall in love with you is your kind and welcoming heart. He always notices when you lend a helping hand to others, and he likes how understanding you are. You’re just an overall wonderful person, and he couldn’t help but be drawn to you.

Sabo enjoys engaging in PDA, and he’ll very likely show you off to every one he meets, though he doesn’t do it intentionally. He particularly enjoys hugging you and holding your hand, but he likes to save his kisses for when you two are alone.

Sabo feels a lot of regret for what happened to Ace and often dwells on how Ace might’ve still been alive had he been there to help Luffy. When you find him while he’s in these states of sorrow, he’s grateful that you’re there to console him and let him talk about his regrets. He knows you’ll say it’s not his fault and that Ace’s death was still a possibility even if he was there, but it makes him feel better to get it off his chest, anyways.

When he’s not on a mission for the Revolutionary Army, he’s taking you out on dates to small town festivals on other islands and showing you a good time. If you want, he’ll let you take him out on dates, too, since he loves to see what you have in store for him.

Sabo makes it a point that he finds something to signify the bond you two share, whether it’s with a meal, a flower, or anything of the like, he doesn’t care as long as you two have something to rejoice in, especially after times of long separations.

 Mihawk

Being in a relationship with Mihawk is just as you’d expect. There’s a lot of unspoken words as he’s not one for flattery, but his actions speak for him. Only when things are truly intimate will he say things he normally wouldn’t.

And though he may not be into the mushy stuff, he does like to spoil you. He’ll cook for you every day, buy you heartfelt gifts, and even prepare romantic evenings for the two of you.

He particularly enjoys taking you out on late night walks around Kuraigana Island where you two are free to talk about anything you want while looking overhead to the stars lighting up the sky. Sometimes, he’ll even bring a picnic blanket and some wine just to change things up a little.

Mihawk is known for always having a straight-face and rarely smiling, but when he’s around you, he can’t help cracking a smile here and there either because of something you say or because of something you do. You’re just one of the few people that can keep him amused at all hours of the day.

It’s very unlikely that Mihawk will initiate any PDA, but then again, he’s rarely out and about or in the presence of others. Normally, you’re the one who initiates anything, but he’s always willing to reciprocate your actions. Hand-holding is perhaps his favorite form of affection.

Since hardly anybody comes to his castle to challenge his swordsmanship, he often finds himself bored, so he looks to you to cure him of his boredom. This can mean chatting, playing board games, or keeping him company while he polishes up on some training every once in a while. He’ll even teach you a thing or two about wielding a sword and tease you about being his next rival if you get too good at handling a sword.

After the World Government decides to dismantle the roles of Shichibukai, he urges you to leave the island for your own safety just as he did with Perona. He’s confident he can protect you, but he’s still wary about the Marines having dirty tricks to use your life against him if you happen to stay.

Mihawk is not particularly close to many people, so the fact that he’s found the perfect someone that cares for him just as much as he cares for them is something short of a miracle.

 Katakuri

Katakuri can be pretty intimidating what with his size and strength as well as his powerful family, but he’s very charming and considerate when he’s with you. He’s a little closed off and less talkative at first, but once the relationship moves along, he’s a lot more expressive and open to you.

Being the Minister of Flour, he tends to be very busy with work regarding the island he manages and work regarding his duties to his mother, so he may not always be available for you. Because of that, he likes to organize strict schedules so that he has enough time for you, his work, and his private snack times.

Speaking of snack times, he doesn’t care how serious and emotionally invested he is in the relationship, he refuses to let you eat with him in fear of ruining the perfect image he tries to maintain. He worries about scaring you away, even if it means making you angry for not letting you eat with him.

After his battle with Luffy, though, he’s much more comfortable with letting you eat with him, and he may not show it, but he’s overjoyed by the fact that you don’t scream or laugh at his strange mouth and absurd eating habits.

In terms of his point-of-view on PDA, he has no problem with it. He’s used to his younger siblings hanging all over him, so he doesn’t mind when you attempt to hug his tall frame, he might even bend down to help you out a little if he’s around his older siblings. They’re less likely to judge him, and his younger siblings are prone to getting jealous.

Katakuri also knows that one of his strides is about seven of yours (given that you’re average height), so instead of walking slower, he’ll pick you up and carry you to places. While you enjoy his generosity, he enjoys helping you out.

Big Mom has a lot of enemies, so one of his priorities is keeping you safe, and he has no trouble with that at all. When Big Mom has one of her hunger pangs, however, he has a bit more trouble keeping you and his siblings safe. If push comes to shove, he’ll have Brulee take you and his younger siblings into the Mirror World until Big Mom’s cravings are satiated. But you two mostly reside on Komugi Island, so he doesn’t have to worry too often.

One thing that he particularly loves about you is how well you get along with his family, even if it’s not all of them. His family means everything to him and that includes you, so he’s thankful that you’re not overwhelmed by them since he’d like for you to officially join the family one day.

HCs: Zoro and Fem S/O Adopting a Kitten Together

- Whether he likes to admit it or not, Zoro is a sucker for small, cute things. I mean have you seen his relationship with Chopper? Zoro has a bizarre sense of responsibility of said small, cute things, almost as if it’s his sworn duty to protect them with his life.

- To anyone else, and even himself, he’s perceived as more of a dog guy. And he does indeed love man’s best friend and loves near about all dogs he meets. So when you bring up the idea of adopting a kitten, well, he’s not entirely intrigued by the idea at first.

- It takes actually bringing (dragging) Zoro to the shelter in order to convince him. He of course indifferent as ever, claiming he’s there to see the dogs while you browse for cats, but when he lays eyes on a certain lil fuzzy, bright-eyed kitty that is visibly intrigued by him, you can see his armor begin to crumble.

- You don’t even have to coax him to interact, Zoro instinctively and curiously sticks his finger through the cage, a warm smile blooming on his face as the kitty graciously rubs against him and reverberates with the loudest purrs either of you had ever heard. Small chuckles escape him as the kitty starts to paw at his fingers in playful manners and needless to say, a bond was instantly made.

- “Is this the one?”

- *clears throat* “I mean he’s okay, I guess. For a cat.”

- “Do you want to keep loo-“

- “No.”

- So you and Zoro brought the lil baby home. Zoro is a little awkward and clumsy, not really knowing what to do with such a tiny animal (you have to teach him that you do not pet cats the same way you pet dogs) but thankfully, all the kitty really wanted to do during the drive was take a nice nap in Zoro’s warm, comfy lap.

- Which easily becomes the kitty’s favorite place from there on out. The two are instant buddies, doing nearly everything together. But the biggest bond is made when they nap together, which is quite often. Zoro is amused to find something that can challenge his sleeping habits. 

- Any time the kitty naps, it has to be either on or near Zoro. Aside from Zoro’s lap, the kitty likes to curl up on his shoulders or in his neck. Very clingy kitty and Zoro can’t get enough of it.

- Zoro gets a lil huffy when the kitty gives you attention, because yeah, the kitty absolutely loves you too, but it’s kinda understood that Zoro is the favorite parent lol

- Any time he goes to the store, Zoro brings home a new toy/accessory for the kitty. He spoils the kitty to DEATH.

- Is convinced he always understands what the cat is saying and will have full on conversations with the cat (when he’s sure he’s alone, anyway).

- Anybody his cat doesn’t like, Zoro doesn’t like. Unfortunately, the cat is quite fond of Sanji, so Zoro had to train him to hate the cook lol and it has yet to prove fruitful.

- *cat playing happily with Sanji* 

- Zoro: Traitor.

- Has a million pictures on his phone of his cat. Some candid, some posed, but lots of them are of the kitty and you interacting. Whether playing, napping, or just hanging out. His screensaver is definitely of the two of you.

- Zoro really just appreciates how low-maintenance cats are. He doesn’t have to do much to keep the lil thing happy. Just food, pets, and naps. Which honestly are Zoro’s requirements for happiness as well lol 

- All in all a very unexpectedly good cat dad. Will not take much convincing to adopt a sibling for sweet kitty. Three is probably his max. Loves his fur babies and is v protective of them. Is eternally grateful that you convinced him to adopt a cat!

Perhaps you’d meet in a quaint café, your academic prowess landing you the misfortune of being paired together.

Once again you found your eyes drifting to the clock above the counter. You had been sitting and waiting for your partner for about twenty minutes and were beginning to get a bit irritated. The sweet smells wafting through the café were torturous and only helped make you more impatient to sit down, order, and start working on this project. From what you knew, which was admittedly very little, your partner was the flaky sort and tended to bail on group meet-ups last minute. It also didn’t help your impression that you had never once seen him attend class. Honestly, you had tried to go into this with an open mind but as the minutes ticked away you were becoming more sure he wasn’t going to show up. After fifteen more minutes of waiting you had made up your mind to leave when you heard someone say your name. You turned around and to meet amber eyes, that startled you a bit. His face was pale, and he looked incredibly sickly. Heavy bags rested under his eyes and only made him look more ghoulish. You shook yourself out of your momentary silence and hurriedly introduced yourself.

“It’s nice to meet you, I apologize for being late. I should’ve texted you, but I wasn’t feeling too great,” he explained, seeming a bit nervous. He surprised as you divided the material and began to work. It seemed like he actually knew what he was doing. Sure, grade wise he may have been flunking, but he certainly was efficient. You paused for a moment to stretch and take a sip from the drink you had ordered earlier. For the life of you, you couldn’t figure out why he would be failing. As you skimmed his work it was all correct.

“How the hell are you failing?” you muttered quietly. You hadn’t really meant for the words to spill out , but you were perplexed. The pen he was using skid slightly across his page at your voice, as though you had startled him. He looked up at you and grimaced.

“I…um, missed the midterm?” he admitted sheepishly. Horrified, you stared him wide-eyed. He missed the midterm?! How do you miss a midterm?! He seemed to flush slightly and looked back down at his work. You sighed heavily and glanced at the time. It was nearly 7:30 PM. You should have gone home thirty minutes ago. Would it be alright to trust him to do the work and leave? It did look like he was almost done. Making up your mind, you stood to leave, but he stopped you for a moment.

“Ah! Wait, let’s exchange numbers. I don’t think I’ll be able to meet up again anytime soon…” he confessed handing his phone to you. You pushed back the urge to roll your eyes and put your contact information into his phone. He shot you an infectious grin and you couldn’t help but smile back.

As soon as you got home, you face planted into your comforter. Your phone buzzed in your pocket and you groaned, sitting up to check it.

‘hi, this is Chase. sorry again i was late, hopefully i didn’t make too bad of a first impression!!! (ಥ﹏ಥ) anyway i’ll send my part of the project asap, ttyt’

You hadn’t even realized he hadn’t given you his name. Chase definitely fit him, somehow. Even though he seemed like a lovely person, you were still worried about the project. Hopefully, he’d complete it sooner rather than later so you wouldn’t have to stress so much about it. Although, you wouldn’t worry about the project right now. You begrudgingly got up and ready for bed before laying back down. Finally, you were able to relax and go to sleep.

Hello, Anon!~ Thank you so much for waiting, I am terribly sorry that it took me so long to finish. It’s been years since I’ve seen the Alabasta Arc and I had to do some research on Vivi haha. So, I hope you’ll enjoy it, and thanks for hanging in there with me! 😁

General Relationship Headcanons - Nami, Robin, Vivi

Nami

Nami is an extremely loyal partner and will go to any length to support you in your endeavors. She may draw in a lot of attention from others, but she makes sure that you know she only has eyes for you.

If there's anyone she loves to spend money on more than herself, it's you. She particularly enjoys taking you shopping with her and buys matching outfits for the two of you.

At other times, she'll spoil you with gifts that she finds during one of her shopping sprees. And sometimes, she might expect you to spoil her, too. She'll never turn down a gift from you.

Nami is spontaneously affectionate. One moment she'll be talking to you like she normally would, and in the next, she's giving you a tight hug and pulling you in for a kiss.

She's not too shy about showing off her affection either, and her popular modes of PDA include hugs, hand-holding, kisses, playing with your hair... you name it. She'll show her love for you in any way that she can.

Nami has a habit of showing you off, and most of the time, it's not intentional. She'll tell everyone how great you are and how lucky she is to be with you even if it’s completely off-topic in the conversation.

Being a huge fan of relaxation, she'll always ask you to join her whether it's sunbathing in a lawn chair or lazily floating in a pool with her. If you two are deep into the relationship, Nami may sometimes invite you to take a bubble bath with her as a spa treatment more than anything.

If you're ever confronted by someone or if anyone starts something with you, Nami is the one telling them off before you can even react despite if you're fully capable of handling the situation yourself. If she’s feeling bold enough, she might even fight the other person herself; she has the means to, after all.

As a navigator, Nami has spent a lot of time studying the stars and constellations, so one of her favorite pastimes with you involves teaching you how to navigate using the stars and simply stargazing late at night with you when everyone else is asleep.

Nothing brings Nami greater joy than dreaming about the day that she brings you back to meet her sister and everyone else from her hometown. It might not be for a long time, but she's willing to wait if you are.

Robin

Robin is a fairly reserved partner, and you can bet that she'll always be faithful and committed to the relationship.

She's always willing to give advice and lend you a hand after you fall. When you're feeling down, she's the first one to lift your spirits.

Robin loves to compliment and praise you on just about anything to show her admiration for you. She'll compliment your looks, your character, all of your efforts put towards any task... the list goes on and on.

Being the knowledgeable person that she is, Robin has learned a lot about the world and likes to share her knowledge with you. She's honored that you listen and ask questions out of interest since she enjoys mature and intellectual conversations.

Robin is often very modest when displaying affection amongst a crowd, resorting to some handholding or placing a comforting hand on your lap.

At the same time, she likes to tease you, so she'll kiss you when no one's looking or subject you to subtle flirting just to get a look at your sweet and bashful face.

If you're ever in an argument or a situation that calls for a fight, Robin is quick to put an end to the conflict for you. With the strength of her devil fruit power to back up the two of you, she can afford to make light-hearted threats on your behalf.

She's always looking out for you, and this means bringing you something to drink and snack on if you've been working hard or using her Devil Fruit powers to carry you to bed after you've fallen asleep in a random place. She enjoys doing little things like that.

One thing that Robin values more than anything is the way that you make her genuinely smile and laugh in any circumstance. Even your presence alone is enough for her to express true joy.

More importantly, Robin keeps a journal that holds nothing but photos of you, anything that you’ve written or drawn for her, or even little stories that she’s written about you as a memento to look back on. She secretly hopes that her collection of keepsakes from you will be large enough to be considered a library one day.

Vivi

Princess Vivi is perhaps one of the sweetest partners anyone can find, and in a relationship, she's always very compassionate and selfless.

Vivi is determined to put your needs before her own, but she's also capable of taking care of herself, so you don't have to worry about her neglecting her own needs for yours.

Vivi tends to not engage in PDA not because of her royal status or because she doesn’t like it, she just prefers to be affectionate with you when you two are alone and not being watched by guards or curious citizens. Plus, she’s a big fan of cuddling, and it’s hard to do that when others are around awkwardly watching.

As a noble, she's often busy with her diplomatic duties to her kingdom and she'll make it her goal to spend as much time with you as possible. This usually means spending every mealtime with her, traveling with her when she visits towns across the deserts of Alabasta, or even joining her and her father during council meetings.

Sometimes, Vivi misses her time out in the open sea so it means the world to her when you take her out for a long trip out into the ocean.

She loves to surprise you with gifts and cute dates. Seeing your face light up from her special surprises brings her so much joy. She prefers to give rather than receive, after all.

Vivi knows she's not the strongest person, but she'll do her best to help defend you, which usually means talking things out and resolving the conflict without violence. A win-win situation for both sides, she might add.

Another thing that Vivi enjoys doing for you is writing love letters despite being embarrassed about it when you bring them up or if you catch her in the middle of writing one. Her heart practically explodes if you return her letters with some of your own, and she’ll treasure them forever.

Since her time with the Strawhats, Vivi has come to love symbolism in terms of friendship, family relationships, or love. The symbol of your relationship doesn’t have to be too complex, but as long as it has meaning, she’ll cherish whatever it may be (a certain color, a type of flower, a hand sign, etc…)

As a child, Vivi always imagined that she would be thrown into an arranged marriage with a noble she didn’t love, but those fears are quickly forgotten now that she has you. She can now dream of a wedding day with hope and excitement rather than anxiety and dread like before.

Could I request headcanons for Sanji, Ace, and Sabo who has a S/O who doesn't always show affection, but out of the blue they started showing affection towards them a lot more, becuase they want to show them how much they love and appriecate them, how would the guys react?

Sanji

When the relationship first began, Sanji was quick to realize that his S/O did not display much affection, and this was a little strange at first as he was the polar opposite in his habit of showing affection.

It took a while for him to get used to such a situation, feeling a bit dejected at times, but he learned to be at peace with it as time went on. He wouldn't dare let this get in the way of his relationship with his S/O.

One day, Sanji is finishing up drying the dishes after dinner when his S/O suddenly hugs him from behind. He's taken aback for a moment but melts into his S/O's arms in a matter of seconds, embracing the affection that he craves every so often.

His S/O does show affection on occasion, so Sanji chalks it up to being one of those random acts of endearment.

As soon as his S/O's acts of affection become more and more recurrent, curiosity takes over him, and he's dying to find out the cause for his S/O's sudden change.

It takes him a lot of courage and he stalls at first, but when he finally asks and learns that it's because his S/O wants to express their love and appreciation for him, his heart explodes from pure happiness.

Sanji winds up crying tears of joy and sporting a beaming smile at his S/O's words, all while pulling them in for a warm embrace and chanting all of the reasons he loves them.

After he's calmed down a bit, he shares his gratitude and confirms with his S/O that they're completely comfortable with it and not feeling pressured to be more affectionate.

He can’t possibly calm his rapidly beating heart, but he still expresses how ecstatic he is to hear that from them. It’s like a dream come true, and the only thing he’s afraid of is the possibility of waking up.

To celebrate, Sanji asks them to join him for a private dinner where he’ll whip up their favorite meal and take the time to truly explore all the ways in which they can express their love for one another. 

Ace

Like Sanji, Ace is a pretty affectionate guy, and he loves to be on the receiving end of similar affections, too.

But upon realizing that his S/O rarely shows affection, he's quick to accept it as long as it makes his S/O comfortable.

From there on out, Ace makes it a habit to ask his S/O for permission if he wants to show his affection for them. Even if they say it’s always okay, he still likes to ask beforehand in case their answer changes.

It doesn't bother Ace in the least that his S/O doesn’t give much affection, though, as he loves to offer his S/O affection whenever he possibly can and doesn't dwell on receiving it.

After a while, Ace is completely used to only receiving affection from his S/O in rare instances, and believe it or not, it makes those instances all the more meaningful in his opinion.

When his S/O gradually begins to offer more affection day after day, Ace is quick to pick up on the change. At first, he thinks it’s just a phase or perhaps his S/O is more comfortable experimenting with him, and he sits back and enjoys the plentiful hugs and snuggling he receives from them.

If his S/O’s affection continues, Ace will ask why the sudden change just to get an idea of what his S/O has in mind, and the moment they tell him that it’s to show how grateful and in love they are with him, he’s a blushing mess.

He tries to laugh off his bashfulness, but he can’t seem to find the words to respond with, only starting words just to drift off with a small laugh and cheesy grin.

Once he’s regained his composure, he pulls them into a tight bear hug and lifts them off the ground before doing a little twirl, making his S/O laugh as he tells them how precious they are to him.

After he places his S/O back on their feet, Ace takes their hand into his and thanks them for being so generous and thoughtful in their decision.

Sabo

While Sabo does enjoy occasional affection, it's not the end of the world if he doesn't receive much of it.

It doesn't take long for Sabo to realize that his S/O isn't the affectionate type, and he has no problem with it whatsoever. He doesn't even bring it up to them.

He'll be affectionate to his S/O, but he tries to limit these acts of affection in case they make his S/O uncomfortable, so he'll typically resort to occasional hugs and handholding and maybe a quick kiss on the cheek here and there.

As soon as there's a turning point in the relationship, Sabo picks up on it in little to no time. How could he not notice his S/O being more affectionate towards him? It's out of character for them, but he understands there must be a reason for it.

He'll hint at his S/O's sudden amorous change, and he might even tease them a bit, but he won't take it too far. He just wants his S/O to slip up and offer an explanation as to why they're suddenly showing more affection.

Eventually, his plan works and he finally learns the reasoning behind his S/O's new change in behavior, finding out that it's all in the name of showing their love and appreciation for him.

Sabo tries to hide his growing blush by turning around, covering his face, or even turning his S/O around before they notice. They probably already know, but he’s still a little bashful about it.

His S/O's words are like music to his ears and he wants nothing else but to play them on repeat. The more he clings to their words, the faster his heart beats and it’s a feeling he’s not quite used to but enjoys anyhow.

It doesn’t take long for Sabo to shake off the stunned thoughts going wild in his head, and he sweeps his S/O into his arms, rocking from side to side with them as he peppers their face with a kisses.

All the while, Sabo is teasing his S/O that it’s mandatory for them to greet him with a kiss from here on out so that it’s no longer one-sided, excited for the new change in the relationship.

S/O Oblivious to Flirting Headcanons - Luffy, Sanji, Zoro

Luffy

Luffy is pretty terrible when it comes to flirting. In fact, most people wouldn't even consider his attempts to be anywhere near a common flirtation if his goal is to flirt at all. The bottom line is that Luffy rarely flirts and if he does, it's either unintentional or scripted with the help of the other crew members like Sanji, Brook, Usopp, and Nami.

Because Luffy has his struggles in flirting, it's no wonder his S/O is completely oblivious to it. He's oblivious to his own flirting, too.

It's actually the rest of the Strawhat crew that notice Luffy's S/O's lack of awareness to their captain's flirting. They try to tell him about the situation, but Luffy simply argues that his crew members' styles of flirting don't work on his S/O.

Despite the rest of the crew's protests against allowing Luffy to try flirting his own way, Robin is actually the one who encourages him to give it a try, sparking nothing bit excitement in the young captain.

Luffy thinks with his stomach, so it's no surprise that his flirting involves food. During every meal, he'll often share his food with his S/O, especially his meat, which serves as a token of his appreciation. He also adds that he shares his food with his S/O and only his S/O because he likes them so much.

Being the goofy guy that he is, he spends a lot of his free time making his S/O laugh and comments that he's always happy to see them smile and hear them laugh.

He typically expresses how his S/O makes him feel since he's not quite used to being in a relationship. He hopes that it counts as flirting seeing as how he doesn't say these things to anyone else.

Luffy also tries to be more affectionate with his S/O by hugging them all of the time, giving them piggyback rides, tickling them, etc...

In the meantime, the rest of the Strawhat crew help their captain by teasing Luffy's S/O about all the times Luffy is being flirty, praying that if they point it out, his S/O will figure out when he's being sweet on them and when he's being a goofball.

It takes a while for it to work, but when Luffy's S/O finally begins to blush and flirt back, Luffy is ecstatic. This wasn't exactly a game of any sort, but he feels like a lucky winner.

Sanji

Sanji is a huge flirt, but his flirting tends to blend in with his ogling and exaggerated praise to those he finds attractive. Due to this, it's understandable why his S/O is sometimes oblivious to his flirting.

Even after he forms his relationship with his S/O, it's hard to tell if he's actually flirting with them or if he's being his usual excessive self.

In order to combat this, Sanji takes it upon himself to be more upfront with his flirting. He immediately quashes his habit of flirting with anyone other than his S/O, knowing that he sometimes does it compulsively without thinking about it.

He'll be way more romantic with his approaches, too. For instance, he'll accompany his flirtations with a wink or gentle touches for reassurance. On other occasions, he’ll bring flowers or small, cutesy desserts to help set the mood a little.

Sanji may sometimes feign having his feelings hurt that his attempts at flirting went unchecked to see what kind of reaction he gets from his S/O, and normally, he does it to get a laugh out of them.

When he's feeling a bit cheeky, he'll engage in some naughty flirting to let his S/O know that he's definitely out to woo them.

Anytime that his S/O flirts with him first, he’s instantly flirting back. There’s no way they can be oblivious to his flirting if they’re the ones who started the flirting match.

Sanji tends to put out his cigarette when he’s trying to exchange intimate words with his S/O, and he uses this as a telltale sign that he’s going into his iconic “flirt mode.”

The chef practically worships his S/O, so he’s constantly telling his S/O how much he loves them and why he loves them so much. Because professing his love has to be the most genuine form of flirting, right?

Even though his S/O doesn’t realize he’s flirting every once in a while, Sanji’s grateful that he has someone so lovely to flirt with. Soon, his S/O will be unable to resist his superior flirting skills.

Zoro

At first glance, Zoro doesn't seem like much of a flirt, but he's quite the charmer when he wants to be. Except, it's hard to be charming when his S/O is unaware of his flirting.

Zoro notices his S/O's obliviousness after he attempts to flirt with his S/O a couple of times, only to get unexpected responses. He'll confirm his assumption by following up with someone like Nami or Franky, whoever happens to witness his failed attempts.

It takes Zoro a while to come up with ways to make his flirting more obvious, but once he does, he’s on top of it. He’s a man on a mission, and he won’t quit until it works.

Zoro’s not exactly the romantic-type, but if he’s going to make the effort to flirt, he doesn’t want to feel ignored. He wants his S/O to smile, laugh, blush, flirt back, or even scold him if his flirting is too filthy.

His flirting used to be more subtle and witty, but now, he’s extremely straightforward, so much so that it seems absurd coming from him.

A lot of his flirting centers around his S/O’s strengths and personality, so he’ll sometimes list all of the things he admires about his S/O and their qualities. He won’t let up on his barrage of compliments and undying confessions of adoration until his S/O is a blushing mess.

He tends to smile more when he’s flirting with his S/O, giving them more reason to believe that the reason he’s saying such sweet things to them is because he’s trying to be romantic.

There’s plenty more physical touching that occurs like placing his hand on their lower back or rubbing their thigh. He’ll also stand at a closer distance to his S/O, hoping that the atmosphere will seem more intimate.

At times where all else fails, Zoro will directly tell his S/O that he’s trying to flirt with them when they’re oblivious. He’s done all he could to hint at them that he’s flirting so what better to do than be brutally honest, even if they do get a little embarrassed. Sometimes, his S/O’s own flirting goes over his head, and it’s embarrassing for him to think back on.

Even if his attempted flirting goes unnoticed by his S/O, Zoro still values how naïve and precious his S/O is throughout these interactions. Zoro’s always up for a challenge anyways, and this is a challenge he looks forward to every day.

Can I request hcs of Neji and Shikamaru with a s/o who works behind the scenes with tasks like analyzing and decoding material, delivering important scrolls or taking care of them? She hardly ever works on the active field unless it's something important like a war or a retrieval mission for a scroll or artifact, but even so, she is very capable of protecting herself and any secret she may have.

He’s honestly glad you don’t have to work on the field too much. While he trusts you to hold your ground if push comes to shove, he feels better knowing that you’re usually some place safe - especially when he’s out on missions himself.

Really impressed by what you’re doing. He knows you can’t disclose any information to him, but he’s always interested to learn about your work. Will respect the boundaries, though.

Will get a pit pouty if you get smth done quicker than him / correct him, but honestly he doesn’t even actually mind. He just likes to act theatrical about stuff sometimes

100% trusts you when you’re out on the battlefield (it still makes him anxious but he knows what you can do). if you want him to, he’ll definitely help you with whatever you need to train, and he’ll learn how to use all your abilities to your advantage and again, will tell you all his ideas if you let him

Feels bad for leaving you alone on missions in the village. He always tries to hurry home to you. Often, when things are really dire, he’ll be in direct connection to you via ino’s jutsus and he’ll be glad to have someone he loves and trusts so much to work out difficult situations with him

Out of all three, Sanji is the one who notices your physical glow-up most. 

And god, he loves you for who you are as a person, but he'd be lying if he said he wasn't falling for you all over again. 

And now that you're more confident, very well aware of your renewed sex appeal, you're definitely making good use of that to flirt with him a bit. 

He's nearly fainting. He wants to shower you in all the compliments, say all the things he's been saving up in his head for 2 years. All the romantic poems he's come up with, all the compliments, all the affirmations, he can just feel them leaking out of his ears, stumbling over his words as he only can gasp and stutter out your name, ears and face redder than the little stream of blood that is now trickling out of his nose. 

Once he finds his words again, they all come out together. How he's missed you, how he's missed holding you, kissing you, how he hopes you've missed him as well, and just how damn great you look. 

You cannot help but take it all in with a grin, telling him about the many things you've learned, playfully teasing and touching him as you tell him about your two years.

Zoro 

Zoro notices your new appearance right away but isn’t too sure to comment on it. 

Poor guy has never really been a flirt, and it had taken ages for the two of you to start a relationship, with the two of you getting flustered the very moment anything even remotely intimate happened. 

He eventually gets out one flirty/snarky compliment, but the way you reply, with newfound confidence, turns his cheeks, nose, and ears all red. 

You cannot help but giggle at the prospect of getting him flustered more often. 

He’s trying to change the subject a few times, but every time he starts a sentence both his eyes and his mind drift off. It’s hilarious. 

With your new strength, you can now help him train as well, which goes all right for about 4 times before you overdo it with the slightly suggestive movements and Zoro suggests he should probably train by himself. 

Flusteredness aside, Zoro is super proud of you. He feels like he has to worry less whenever the group gets separated.

He had been thinking about the whole crew while on Kuraigana with Mihawk and Perona and he hoped everybody had trained properly to face the dangers of the new world. 

He’s glad that you had taken it seriously too, and he can’t wait to kick some ass together with you.

Luffy 

You had always been shy. But never weak. Luffy did not like weak people. He didn't mind that you didn't speak up much before, other people on the crew are more of the silent types too. 

Luffy doesn’t really care for looks, barely noticing the glow up in terms of your physique, but noting that you look so much stronger and powerful, mostly due to your now way more confident posture. 

It’s the first thing he comments on, well, as soon as he lets you go from his typical jump-hug. He’s so happy to see you again. 

When you grin and comment on how he’s grown, he starts to notice just how much more confident you look, how much prouder you stand, and he cannot help but laugh. 

“shishishi y/n, you really have become a stronger lady over the break! Looking forward to seeing all the new things you can do! Let’s go kick the new world’s asses” 

He wants to hear all your stories of how you trained, like he wants to hear the whole crew’s stories, but you, as his girlfriend are just a teeeeeeny bit more important to listen to.

Perhaps you’d meet in a quaint café, your academic prowess landing you the misfortune of being paired together.

Once again you found your eyes drifting to the clock above the counter. You had been sitting and waiting for your partner for about twenty minutes and were beginning to get a bit irritated. The sweet smells wafting through the café were torturous and only helped make you more impatient to sit down, order, and start working on this project. From what you knew, which was admittedly very little, your partner was the flaky sort and tended to bail on group meet-ups last minute. It also didn’t help your impression that you had never once seen him attend class. Honestly, you had tried to go into this with an open mind but as the minutes ticked away you were becoming more sure he wasn’t going to show up. After fifteen more minutes of waiting you had made up your mind to leave when you heard someone say your name. You turned around and to meet amber eyes, that startled you a bit. His face was pale, and he looked incredibly sickly. Heavy bags rested under his eyes and only made him look more ghoulish. You shook yourself out of your momentary silence and hurriedly introduced yourself.

“It’s nice to meet you, I apologize for being late. I should’ve texted you, but I wasn’t feeling too great,” he explained, seeming a bit nervous. He surprised as you divided the material and began to work. It seemed like he actually knew what he was doing. Sure, grade wise he may have been flunking, but he certainly was efficient. You paused for a moment to stretch and take a sip from the drink you had ordered earlier. For the life of you, you couldn’t figure out why he would be failing. As you skimmed his work it was all correct.

“How the hell are you failing?” you muttered quietly. You hadn’t really meant for the words to spill out , but you were perplexed. The pen he was using skid slightly across his page at your voice, as though you had startled him. He looked up at you and grimaced.

“I…um, missed the midterm?” he admitted sheepishly. Horrified, you stared him wide-eyed. He missed the midterm?! How do you miss a midterm?! He seemed to flush slightly and looked back down at his work. You sighed heavily and glanced at the time. It was nearly 7:30 PM. You should have gone home thirty minutes ago. Would it be alright to trust him to do the work and leave? It did look like he was almost done. Making up your mind, you stood to leave, but he stopped you for a moment.

“Ah! Wait, let’s exchange numbers. I don’t think I’ll be able to meet up again anytime soon…” he confessed handing his phone to you. You pushed back the urge to roll your eyes and put your contact information into his phone. He shot you an infectious grin and you couldn’t help but smile back.

As soon as you got home, you face planted into your comforter. Your phone buzzed in your pocket and you groaned, sitting up to check it.

You hadn’t even realized he hadn’t given you his name. Chase definitely fit him, somehow. Even though he seemed like a lovely person, you were still worried about the project. HCs: Cuddling in the Summer Heat (Ace, Sabo)

Ace

✲ Ace is much more used to the drawbacks of the devil fruit power and how his body temp is always sky high so he literally doesn’t give a heck about that nor the weather and how humid it is in your shared bedroom - he’s going to get his cuddles from you. And the fact that you’re so eager to do the same really makes him happy. The two of you are so stubborn and eager to cuddle each other, no weather could ever get in your way.

✲ To accommodate, Ace always proposes a few things. 1) Buy a fan or sleep with the window open (if possible). 2) Stick to light sheets instead of a comforter (typically what happens anyway). 3) Sleep naked. Of course, he’s much more inclined to option number 3, but won’t do it if you’re uncomfortable with the idea. He almost always sleeps shirtless and in his boxers or gym shorts though, can’t talk him out of that. 

✲ “I think you need to take your shirt off, (Name). I’d hate for you to undergo a heat stroke with all those layers~” Is it genuine concern or him just teasing you? Probably a little bit of both.

✲ Either way, you two will lay there, cuddling and basking in your sticky warmth with arms wrapped securely around each other, not minding it one bit (or only a lil bit) because nothing is going to keep you two apart. You fall asleep holding each other and you wake up holding each other. Albeit you do wake up in a puddle of sweat and have to peel each other off, but hey, that gives you an excuse to go enjoy a cold bath or shower.

✲ You two will more than likely avoid your day time cuddling throughout the rest of the day, especially if you’re out on deck under the blazing sun. But that won’t stop you from quick affections every now and then! When it comes to the night time, you two don’t hold back. Sometimes you both whine and complain about it, even wiggling out of each other’s grasps from time to time, but you ultimately find your way back into each other’s arms, silently praying for summer to hurry along. 

Sabo

✲ Now Sabo isn’t quite used to how unnaturally high his body temp is yet, so he’s going to be more inclined to gently push you away when you try to cuddle him during the unbearably warm summer days and nights. It’s not that he hates cuddling you, but feeling your sweaty bodies sticking together is just not the most comfortable to him. Not to mention having you so close only raises his already warm internal temperatures, so cuddling a heater during the intense heat is not exactly ideal for either of you.

✲ “Darling, I love you, but please stay on your side of the bed.” He’s a bit whiny, but hey, you just make him too hot. Take that as a compliment! 

✲ When you don’t relent, it doesn’t take long for him to give up the fight because holding you close at night is in fact the only way to ensure a good night’s sleep for this boy. He’ll definitely shed some layers and will remove the comforter from the bed for potentially the rest of the summer, sleeping with only the thin top sheet which you both end up kicking to the floor anyway. Tries his best to be practical - sleeps with the windows open, buys a fan for your room, hell, he’s even chilled your sheet in the fridge and it surprisingly helps at least for a little bit. Anything to make things a little less unbearable so he can actually enjoy your cuddle sessions.

✲ Typically what happens though, when you’re fast asleep and he’s struggling to do so, is he’ll ease out from your grasp and will take advantage of the cool part of the sheet. You get a little pouty when you wake up to find him laying away from you, but he always promises to make up for the lack of summer cuddles with lots of winter cuddles! Let this boy get used to his newly raised body temps and he’ll grow accustomed to cuddling you in the heat in return.

✲ One of the only good things that comes out of the intense heat is Sabo makes a habit of tying his hair back to keep it off of his neck and he looks CAH-UTE with those blonde tresses pulled back.

Arranged Marriage by the Uchiha Elders

A/N: I wrote this at 1am, it’s a little bit messy, but I got my ideas out.

Side note, this would be neglecting the Uchiha demise ok, so let’s just pretend that it’s not looming hidden over the Uchihas lives rn

To be honest, he probably wouldn’t put up a fight at the Uchiha elders proposal. If it’s to benefit the clan than he will go along with it, he’s just that type of bitch tbh.

Probably asks Itachi for advice, but his mind is already made up anyways.

He has to make sure it’s what you want too. If you’re in complete disagreement he will object to the arranged marriage, if you’re a little hesitant he will talk it out with you. Only problem is you meet like 3 times before you actually get married.

Will also be so caring to whoever he is going to marry. Like okay, this may not be the most ideal situation, but the least he can do is make it somewhat enjoyable.

Starts off super slow with them. Like they meet once a week leading up to the actual marriage — bare in mind that the ceremony was approaching at a very alarming rate.

So like I mentioned up there ^^ you probably get married after like meeting eachother 3 times and those three times you were so nervous that you barley talked..

Does most of the talking during your meetings. Complaints you all the time though and encourages a conversation.

When you walk down the aisle on your wedding day he sees you’re all nervous and trust me he is too (he just hides it better,) but he’ll compliment you non stop and just be so gentle.

Gives you space if you feel over whelmed. He is committed asf and wants to make it work, so he doesn’t want to force it.

Even if it’s an arranged and not his dream situation, he will try and make the best out of it. Plus you’re also pretty sweet, so it’s not so bad.

After the wedding day is over and you end up living together he will, as I’ve already said before... BE SO FUCKING SWEET.

Omg like there’s only one bed in your apartment, but he’ll offer to sleep on the couch if you’re more comfortable. You just kind of stare at him unsure of what to do so he starts moving out of the bedroom to the couch, but you grab his sleeve and nervously say it’s okay.

SUCH A KING. Usually sleeps just in his boxers, but he decides to wait a little bit because he respects boundaries.

Will close his eyes for you to change your clothes, if he’s feeling super cheeky he might just hide his head under the covers.

When you two sleep he’ll stay on his respective side of the bed, even though it’s really tempting to cuddle. He doesn’t want to rush you.

He’s so easy to warm up to though, you end up opening up to eachother pretty quickly. Once he gets to know you more if you’re still too shy to speak up on something he’ll end up figuring out what’s bothering you on his own.

Also, I think that he’d be a great person to be married to and he’s HOT so.. you kinda hit the jackpot with this guy tbh.

10/10. If the uchihas ever force you into an arranged marriage, make sure it’s to Shisui 😌 periodt.

Summary : A simple sundress can change the entirety of your day. Reader doesn’t wear dresses often, I mean it’s hard to fight when you’re in a dress lez be real. The Whitebeard pirates fawn over you as you went about your duties as normally as you could, in a dress.

How was it the all your usual clothes were in the laundry?  Oh right, that’s because you were so busy you forgot to them. 

Standing in front of your mirror barely clothed, you sighed as you pulled out the last drawer of your closet and picked up the light soft fabric into your hands.

You had work to do. You were not going to skip on inventory just because you didn’t have your usual shorts or jeans. 

The light fabric of the white sundress was beneficial to you during the hot sunny day outside your room. Tying half of your hair up and grabbing your clipboard, you left the comfort of your room.

You had started inventory in the artillery unit and jotted down every detail not noticing how the crew all stared at you. 

It’s not everyday you see Whitebeard’s left hand wearing the most elegant looking sundress. It‘s not that you weren’t feminine. It’s just seeing you in a dress was something they never fathomed and yet here you were passing by them as you did you work in the white dress that made you look so innocent and harmless. 

Marco nudged Ace to light his cigarette but the Second Division Commander was unresponsive. His calm gaze followed Ace’s one and he felt the wind get knocked out of him.

The chase - Zoro x Reader

One Piece of summer challenge - week 2

Henlo everyone! This is part of the challenge hosted by @doctorgerth​ & @laws-yellow-submarine​ 

I’m attempting all 11 weeks, 11 different prompts and 11 different characters! Enjoy! lets pretend i didnt wait all week till it was monday so i could post UwU week 3 and 4 are almost ready too 🙈

Prompt: Seagulls - Character: Zoro - Word count: 1.5k 

2nd person. Female reader. No other warnings. Inspired by this tweet. 

The Sunny was docked on a nice island and Nami had used her trustworthy straws to decide who was going to do what in terms of chores. Sanji volunteered to get food supplies, which everyone approved of, and the straws decided Luffy and Chopper would come along. Franky, Brook and Robin were appointed to stay and watch the Sunny, which meant Zoro, Nami, Usopp and you could explore the island a little. You cheered inwardly, this meant you could have an actual date with Zoro that wasn’t ‘let’s take a nap together and cuddle’, however nice those moments were, you wanted to actually DO something together. 

The moment you left the Ship, Nami was on her way to the stores, dragging a complaining Usopp behind her, someone had to carry her shopping bags after all. You just grabbed your green haired boyfriend by the hand, knowing that if you didn’t do so, he’d wander off alone and the date would be ruined, and made your way towards the center of the village, seeing if there were some nice things for the two of you to do or see. 

Luck seemed to be on your side, as there was an entire summer market set up, full of handmade artisan goods as well as plenty of food stalls with local dishes. Now Zoro wasn’t as big a glutton as your captain, but he definitely wouldn’t say no to some snacks, especially not after he spotted a stand with local liquors to accompany your food. 

A plan was quickly made: you both got around all the food stalls, taking small portions of all the things that seemed tasty, which was nearly all of them, and then some bottles of liquor you had never tried before. Both your arms full of bags, you made your way to the beach, deciding that a romantic picnic under the sun would be a good idea for the both of you. 

The beach was empty, even though it was nearly perfect weather. The sun stood high in the sky, shining brightly, but not too harshly, and the water was blue and clean. The beach itself had very soft, nearly white sand, that wasn’t too hot, at least, that was if you took a spot that was in the shade. Seagulls were circling above the beach and the ships that were docked a little far away, with some of the birds walking on the beach in search for some lost food. It seemed like most people were at the market, making it easy for you to find a secluded spot in the shade, where you would be able to eat, share some kisses, drinks and cuddles. 

The two of you sat down, tasting the food, playfully feeding each other, testing some of the liquor and deciding that your absolute favorite of the local snacks were some kind of tiny dough balls, filled with various savory fillings. Every single one of them was an adventure, because the fillings were a mystery and Zoro and you decided to keep your favorite out of all the drinks together with these dough balls for last, just so you could slowly enjoy them to the fullest. 

A little over an hour later, nearly all snacks were gone so you grabbed the leftover dough balls, nudging your green haired boyfriend.

“Okay, open up” 

He rolled his eyes, as he always did when you ordered him around, but complied nonetheless. You were about to feed him one of the snacks, when a seagull suddenly dove down, almost like a hawk, and picked the snack right out of your hand. 

“Hey! Stupid Chicken! Give that back!” 

Zoro could only snicker as you yelled at the seagull, now flying away with the dough ball in its beak,and you looked back at him, pouting. 

“I’m sorry”

“don’t be sorry, there’s still plenty of the things. The stupid bird can have one”

You giggled softly, grabbing another dough ball and tried feeding it to Zoro. 

Again, a seagull dove down, imitating the previous one, snatching the delicious ball out of your hands again, this time followed by a bunch of others, stealing all the leftover snacks you had. Zoro angrily swatted at the annoying birds, while you yelped out in surprise, getting a few scratches from some overeager beaks and claws. 

It was all over in a few seconds, and the moment the chaos ebbed away, the both of you noticed one seagull a few metres away from where you were sitting, still shocked from what just had happened. The seagull was holding one of the dough balls in its beak, almost as if it were taunting you. The relaxed attitude Zoro had only a couple of minutes ago was now completely gone as he gritted his teeth in anger, all his chagrin aimed at the bird who was still staring at the two of you, as if it was waiting to see what you were going to do. 

Zoro wasn’t one for elaborate dates, but man, he was having some relaxed fun with his girlfriend, without the constant noise of the crew around, and he’d be lying if he didn’t say that he didn’t enjoy it. He’d be damned if he let some stupid birds ruin the day, and instead of shooing away the bird,like any reasonable person would do, his instincts were faster than his brain, and he charged at it. 

The seagull was a little faster, flying away, but instead of flying to the sea, it made way for the village, and Zoro just ran after it. 

You blinked. Once, twice, before you realized what just happened. Zoro, your boyfriend whose inner compass was basically a straw duct taped onto a stale cookie, ran into a city you’ve only been too once before about 2 hours ago, and he was all by himself. He was going to get so lost. You gathered your stuff and started to run in the general direction of where he had gone off to, hoping you’d spot his green hair among the crowd soon. 

The market was still ongoing, the crowds making it harder for you to quickly make your way through the streets. No sign of your boyfriend either. You crossed the main town square, past the market, and tried some different streets, but to no avail. 

You were about to give up when you suddenly heard “got you, you stupid feathered bastard. This shall learn you to ruin my date. Maybe I’ll give you to that perverted cook, he’ll make some nice chicken nuggets out of you”. You looked up, the sound came from above, and lo and behold, there was your boyfriend, standing on top of a roof, holding a very confused seagull in two hands. The bird was not even struggling, probably wondering how it was even possible that a human plucked him out of the air. 

“Zoro?! How did you get up there?” Zoro seemed just as surprised to see and hear you as you had been to spot him. He jumped down from the roof, right in front of you, still holding the bird, who was now looking at you. 

“I got the bastard that ruined our date”.

He held up the seagull proudly for you to see. You just giggled in response. 

“What are you gonna do with him? He looks confused… too skinny to make ‘chicken nuggets’ out of as well”

Zoro looked at you a little embarrassedly before grinning. 

“Well.. I did show him”

“Yes babe, you showed a poor seagull that you were stronger” 

At this point you were full on laughing. With how strong and bad ass your lover was, you sometimes forgot he could also be a complete dork. And an impulsive one at that. 

“I think he has learned his lesson”, you said, gesturing at the bird. 

“yeah…”. Zoro let go of the seagull and it flew away immediately, determined to get away from these strange, strong humans. 

“Let’s get back to the ship, we were only meant to go out for a little while and I don’t want anyone to get worried about us.” 

Zoro nodded in agreement and took your hand. He didn’t make a move though, waiting for you to lead the way as you always did whenever you two were in unknown terrain. If he lead the way, you wouldn’t be back at the sunny before nightfall. There was only one little problem. With you frantically looking for him, you had not paid attention to which streets you wandered into at all. 

“I have no idea where we are”, you admitted, looking around to see if there was any spot you recognized from earlier. 

“No worries, then I’ll lead the way”, Zoro said confidently before he started walking. Only 2 thoughts went through your head at that moment: Shit. It was gonna take a while to get back. And two, more quality time. Thank you stupid chicken. You softly squeezed his hand as you walked along with a smile on your face. Worst case, the crew would come look for the two of you. Until then, you’d enjoy your date for just a little while longer.
