You know the myths and legends surrounding the Seelies and the Moon Sisters? If not, find the corresponding wiki pages to refresh yourself. Anyway, one thing we know now after Sumeru is that the world’s memory can be tampered with by the gods, and if there’s something Celestia doesn’t want us to know, they will not let us know it outright. Thats why the truth of the world must be seeded into myths and stories full of allegory and metaphors, that’s why Andersdotter of the Hexenzirkel writes fairytales, to subvert the tampering and deletions. I was thinking about the myth that a Seelie and a traveler from afar got married, and their union caused the downfall of the seelie race and the Moon Sisters, and I wondered if that could be a metaphor for the original people-shaped seelie race starting to integrate with humans, if the Primordial One created humans or brought them over from elsewhere, or if humans were native to Teyvat like the dragons and Vishaps, and they had to go to great lengths to interact with the seelie race who would probably inhabit Celestia or some similar realm. And that early integration of Seelie and Human could’ve created the elf race we still know nothing about in the lore.

There was a prominent elf in the rebellion against Decarabian, there’s only one elf among the Fatui Harbingers, Klee’s an elf and her mom is a member of the Hexenzirkle, Rhukkhadevata was an elf (not counting Nahida despite the same features, cuz Nahida is canonically a branch off the Irminsul tree, she’s an avatar of Irminsul) AND the Dendro archon, Layla is so far the only dark-haired elf we see and it’s likely she doesn’t dye her hair because she’s so stressed and tired all the time, and not to mention Layla has this alternate persona that activates whenever she sleeps and she treats Layla as a separate person she watches over. Layla is just weird overall.
