Laios and Falin are both autistic, and that's why they are the way they are.

I'm anime only, but it's clear to me that Laios is blunt and straight forward because he doesn't pick up on the same social cues as others AND people don't tend to correct him. He's big, he's loud, he's a guy, and often people don't try to correct guys on social faux pas' - they just punish them. But the punishment is often aggression, as opposed to social ostracistion.

Falin, on the other hand, while tall, is a girl. And girls tend to get corrected, or punished via ostracisation. She apologises a lot and diminishes herself and her skills. She was ostracised in magic school until Marcille became her friend. She's probably also been told to be quieter and stop talking, so that's why she is more reserved around people

But when Falin is with her brother, she is loud and excited and asks a bunch of questions. That's who she naturally is.

And when Laios is with Falin, he has someone who helps explain him, and people are more likely to see he isn't being Rude or Mean or Two-faced.

They perfectly support each other and I think they are so close because they were the only ones who understood each other for a long time.

But I'm just really happy that Marcille and Chilchuck and Senshi are such good friends to them both, who accept them as they are and see them for who they truly are.
