Should clarify that I don’t mean this in a sort of meta humour way where it’s le epic show of Shaggy breaking the 4th wall for jokes, I’m talking existential horror played completely straight. Emphasizing the psychological fear that would arise from such a realization with the comedy aspect coming from the sheer absurdity of such a story revolving around Norville “Shaggy” Rogers of all characters. Maybe one or all of the other members of the Mystery Gang act as an antagonist trying to drag Shaggy back into the episodic nightmare of the Scooby Doo formula.

Fuck that, what a shit concept for an adult-oriented reimagining of Scooby Doo. My idea is that it should start off identical to the original series, but Shaggy becomes self-aware part way through. He realizes the monotonous events that happen on a daily basis and how nobody else seems to acknowledge them and slowly comes to realize he’s in a TV show, with the show then follwing his attempt at escaping the episodic torture realm that is his life.

How is meta humor and shaggy breaking the 4th wall any better? That's as unoriginal as the Velma show.

Prolly should have specified in my original post that I don't mean Shaggy becoming self aware and then a bunch of meta jokes and Deadpool-styled 4th wall breaks ensue, I'm talking existential horror. EVERYBODY SHUT UP I CAME UP WITH THE BEST VIDEO GAME IDEA

Platinum Games-styled violent 3D hack-and-slash game, except it takes place in a fantasy setting and you play as a fairy.

Randomly thought about the idea when I was playing RLCraft and now I can’t stop thinking about it. Like the gimmick is that because you’re a fairy:

A) You’re approximately the height of a Pepsi can so everything else looks fucking massive.

B) You have a lot more movement options than the typical hack-and-slash because you’re tiny, fast, and can fly.

And like, you’re not even wielding fairy-sized weapons, you’re wielding human-sized swords and daggers that look like the Buster Sword in comparison to you.

Maybe there could be customization options. Like you get to choose what the fairy protagonist looks like, maybe there are different skill trees and weapon specialties to learn, I dunno man. I’m just smitten with the idea of this Metal Gear Rising Revengeance-styled game but you play as a cute li’l fairy.

I may be in possession of lost media.

It’s not one of the cool ones, unfortunately. Basically for the past few years, I’ve been searching information regarding a Sonic.EXE fancomic that was hosted on the DSi Flipnote Hatena of all things. However, I have never found any information regarding it. Can’t even find anything on the Flipnote archive. Now it likely isn’t “lost media,” as it’s unlikely that I’m the only one to have saved them, but it’s cool to think of it that way. Like a li’l conspiracy.

The comic was made by a user named “Lightning™” and stars his self-insert OC. The comic follows the events of the original Sonic.EXE story and game, but from the perspective of a modern Sonic canon. Sonic has gone missing, and Lightning has teamed up with Shadow to try and find him. Amy and Silver are also there. The tone was a disjointed mismash of actually taking a Sonic.EXE plot seriously and what can only be described as early 2010s DeviantArt humour. This comic fucking captivated me as a tween due to me being in both a Sonic phase and a creepypasta phase, but yeah. I’m in possession of the trailer that Lightning™ posted to promote the comic, along with parts 1-5. I’ve been obsessed with this because I have no idea if the series went beyond Part 5.

If anyone’s interested, I might post the comic on here since there’s no archives of it anywhere else. Was also planning on dubbing the thing for a video I’m making on the topic, discussing the events of the comic, why it captivated me, and speculating about what the plot would have been like past Part 5.

Let me know if anybody else remembers this, I can’t be the only person.

The events of Sonic Adventure 2 are really stressful, so I did this little audio of Sonic breaking character and letting all of his frustration out on a very confused Shadow. This was actually inspired by an improvised scene that I did a while back and the idea has stuck with me ever since. Maybe some day I’ll do a full dub of some of my other ones at some point. I’m sure you’d all love to hear about Shaggy’s relationship issues.
